Undervalued our property by 30%
We went for a mortgage valuation with this company, so we could borrow against our house. Portland Surveys were very slow on the survey and report. We constantly had to chase to get things done. We were recommended this firm by the estate agents, but we struggle to see how recommending this firm is good for the estate agent. Would not use again or recommend.
Portland Surveys also undervalued our house by 30% and we couldn't get the loan we wanted. 2 Identical properties sold on our street weeks later for the correct valuation, proving that Portland Surveys Nottingham had undervalued our house.
There was no complaints procedure in place as the only person who works there also undervalued our property (one man band). When we complained we were simply told to "get another survey somewhere else".
