Bait and switch tactics, not recommended
This service is a masterclass in wasting people's time through deliberate deception regarding their "Free Tier." They market 30 monthly credits as a hook, but the reality is a bait-and-switch:
- New users are forced into a mandatory "Pro" trial just to register.
- Once that trial expires, the service hard-locks, rendering even basic features unusable despite the advertised free tier.
- Their customer support is either unable or unwilling to address these unfair practices.
It is perfectly acceptable to operate without a free tier, but it is inexcusable to lure users in with dishonest marketing. There are plenty of alternatives in the market—many of which are technically superior to Portant—that treat their users with basic integrity. Given that your product occupies a space that is far from complex or cutting-edge, you might want to spend less time on deceptive funnels and more time on honesty. Highly not recommended.
