Superb professional service for a pre sale pool inspection.

I rang Poolwerx Tauranga to enquire about a pre sale pool inspection. Brendon the owner was excellent, taking me through the process which seemed very thorough. I engaged his services to do the report. The inspection was done promptly and he rang me to tell me the results as the pool was at the end of its life and needed a comprehensive renovation. He was very knowledgeable and was able to give me an estimate of the cost which helped us with the offer for the property. The written report was excellent. I would highly recommend this company and Brendon for his very professional service.

Fix your systems

Fix your systems. The bank details flag up compared to what’s on your invoice and you know they are wrong. Then I’m getting threatened with fees and collections during my Christmas break for an $8 additional bill that was overdue by barely 2 weeks after I’ve paid almost $400 for chemicals and a service. Disgusting customer service

Never going back to Poolwerx.

Poolwerx Baulkham Hills chemical analysis and recommendations were wrong. After adding all of the purchased chemicals, my pool went from bad to worse. I went back 2 days later and they recommended 5 more chemical additives, including the two that I added 48 hours ago, Alkalinity up and Calcium up. I explained that my test strips readings were all in range and I believe their equipment must be faulty. My Chlorine level was 9.9 and Poolwerx reading was 0.1.
After assuring me that I was wrong, I took another water sample, taken at the same time to another pool company for testing. All 10 lines in the test report were good. I have taken photos of both reports to take this further. The first lot of 2 of the chemicals were $130. I can't imagine what the charge for the extra 5 chemicals would be. The second pool shop told me that the levels were all good, other than the chlorine was a little high and there was there was nothing needed.

Scott Bonthrone

The owner, Scott Bonthrone, on 241 Botany Street, likes to harass vegan businesses on Facebook for no reason at all. Each comment he makes is more vile and hateful than the next. I have asked him to stop, but he proceeds with this behavior and also harasses other Facebook pages. This isn't someone I would trust with my pool, and should not be running a business.

Avoid this pool company

There was a time where this was a reasonable company providing good service. Those days, at least in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide have ended and it appears to me that they are in total disarray with shocking management.
A service person from Blackwood came out and provided absolutely incorrect information creating an enormous amount of stress and chaos. A pump that needed to go for repair sat unlooked at for almost 2 weeks. They then ordered the part and said I was in transit but it took another week before I called again and they said it was being tested and would be installed. It was meant to be installed today and I arranged to stay home haven't received an SMS. No one turned up and when I called late in the afternoon to question what was happening I was told that someone was off sick they knew that but didn't bother to call me. I was told someone may still come but no one did arrive I was told abruptly by Michael that it may be another week. In the meantime the pool looks terrible. They all blame each other and no one takes any responsibility for anything.
Equipment that I purchased there stops working generally to start of the warranty period. They don't really care about their customers and they're disorganised. This could not be a worse or more stressful customer experience

Poolwerx cut the line from my Chemigem…

Poolwerx cut the line from my Chemigem to my acid without authority and/or reason. This happened many months ago but I don't go into the Pool equipment room because I paid for a monthly service. I noted that the lines from the Chemigem to the Acid had been cut.
Poolwerx were manually putting chemicals in my pool which stained the pool at the deep end.
One week after the service which cost me $155, my pool was green with zero chlorine. I have had multiple reports every month stating all equipment was checked and working yet I have a damaged chemigem (from their action), a broken pool light and a malfunctioning skimmer box which has cost me a lot in excess water. I had to use a ton of chemical to get the stains off the wall and base of the pool and I haven't been successful removing all stains. My pool is a trainwreck and it is 8 years old. It hasn't been safe to swim in over the heatwave. They said they would rectify but did not turn up. I had to hire another pool company to fix the damage. Poolwerx are refusing to pay for the new pool company to rectify their damage. I am taking further action

I would not use this company ever again for maintenance of any kind.

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY - AUSTRALIA AND NZ

The franchise owner in Otago has over 5k of our money - we have been waiting for a pool cover and floor pump for the pool since September. Repeated lies and excuses - never shows up. The pool is unusable as the heatpump has not been connected either. Do NOT use this pool service owner Kieran Moore. Similar problem with the chch branch - family member paid a deposit for pool equipment on the understanding it would be fitted that week. Once the deposit was paid told he would have to wait a month. At least he got the deposit back. We haven’t- have asked for funds to be returned and this has been ignored. Legal action ….
so now we are 24.12 24.
As all readers can see on our Google Maps review that we posted -Poolwerx stated they were " working with the local team to resolve the matter" - which means they were attempting to get Kieran Moore Otago to refund our money. Poolwerx chch contacted us and said they would get Poolwerx Aus to refund our money and then chase up Kieran Moore for the repayment to them.
Unsurprisingly- no contact from Poolwerx Aus with the refund. And ( seriously after so many failed promises and failures to complete work AND then asked repeatedly for a refund) the Kieran Moore contacted us as said yet again ... yawn... that he would make good and complete the work. We told him to stay away; refund the money owed by today.
Not done.

Poolwerx Aus - not honoured the refund either.
I have read the Aust reviews of poolwerx and it is poor- poor work ethic, overselling products that are not needed; poor follow up after installing unnecessary equipment.
-we were quoted for a pool cover supposedly recommended by the company. We have discovered that Kieran Moore quoted for an inferior product - cheaper and thinner with resultant poor heat retention in the water, and overquoted.
We also have had another team come up and review the work supposedly needed by us; the floor pump is working normally- nothing wrong with it. Kieran Moore told us it " was kettled" - not so.
we want our money back. Have lodged a claim with the small claims tribunal here in NZ.
Beware of this company - the philosophy is not consistent across the franchise owners.
Cannot recommend in any way at all- the funds have not been honoured by the head office in Australia; we await a date for the NZ tribunal hearing against Kieran Moore Otago Poolwerx

Poolwerks have serviced my pool at… 3 Hackney Way Kalkallo

Poolwerks have serviced my pool at least 3 times and I never had any issues and was always happy with the end result. This last time has been a disaster approximately 3 weeks after the service my pool had Algae all around the pool at water level. I've never had this problem so I had the water tested and was told there is no Salt PH is way out of balance, low on calcium and other various things. What happened in those 3 weeks. What's infuriating is they do not answer their phones don't even bother to return calls and even after sending them a copy of the water test don't even have the decency to reply. This is one of those situations when everything runs smooth until there is a problem. I am so unhappy with them that they do not respond I'll have too look elsewhere for a Pool Service. Act like a reputable company and fulfill your obligation to your customers.

Poolwerx went to install our equipment

Poolwerx went to install our equipment, billed us, installed the equipment incorrectly and REFUSED to come back to fix the installation. Absolutely disgusting company taking advantage of their customers while leaving them with non-functional pool equipment all summer.

Knowledgeable but be careful of free water testing.

I do like the free water testing that Poolwerx offers though you kind of feel obligated to buy something from them in return. I’d much rather prefer to pay a small fee. I’m curious as to how their testing works as my pool’s salt level suddenly jumped compared to the previous season when I had done nothing different and was following the recommended salt level for my pump. One negative is that their online service request form doesn’t work. I had previously made an attempt to book a service and never received a response.
