I wish I had read the reviews on here before I had come and then I would have completely avoided it! All the reviews are absolutely spot on, the place is extremely run down; peeling paintwork, chipped furniture, decaying buildings etc. that I can cope with but there is no excuse for how dirty it is, the kids pool was visibly dirty with brown patches of I don't know what in all the corners. The changing rooms were closed with only a disabled loo available to use, it smelt of urine, had chunks of hair, mould, dirt everywhere. It looked like there was mud or something off someone's shoes around the pool. The staff were just sitting around looking bored, no cleaning was being done. In my day job, I work with homeless people and finding them accommodation, I can honestly say I have seen better homeless hostels than this. I really think the place needs closing down and demolishing, as the company clearly don't have the funds to complete basic renovations. Yes it is very cheap, but it still doesn't justify the poor customer service, the lack of basic hygiene, lack of care, I dont think I have ever seen anywhere so bad, it is really shocking.

All looks untidy and run down a lot of litter our room Outside windows were filthy paint flaking The room itself was clean . It was a base and for cost wasn't expecting gold accommodation so not a problem I will say the restaurant buffet food was excellent The chef needs a pat on the back Plus would like to point all the staff in there and everywhere else we went on site were pleasant and helpful including the cheery security guards

Don’t not book holiday at pontins !!!!!! We had holiday booked for aug bank holiday weekend , on the morning we was going to leave the hole family done a covid test to be safe and to make sure that if one of us had COVID , we didn’t turn up on the site and infect other guests on the site , lucky that I did do test cos mine was positive , we as family was gutted !! As We couldn’t go , the next day (sat) I emailed pontins to tell them what had happened and to ask if they could rearrange dates for me , no reply for still to this date (22/9) so call them to day , they said I should of done test days /day before so there nothing they can do and I’ve lost my money / holiday !!! If I’d of done test days/day before and it was negative , and turned up and infected other people on the site that would’ve been so wrong , but to pontins that’s the right way to do things !!!!!! My way was to do test before we was going to leave home on day of holiday , but pontins say that’s wrong !!!!!! Anyway never again will I book holiday with them again and please do the same and go to Butlins instead !!! Rip off pontins !!!!!!! Don’t go there !!!!! Book some were else !!!!!

THE DOORS INSIDE HAD PUNCH HOLES IN THEM
WHICH HAD BEEN FILLED IN .THE FRONT DOOR HAD PAINT FLICKING OFF. WHEN I WALKED ON THE FLOOR MY SHOES WAS STICKING TO THE FLOOR. I WENT AND HAD A WORD WITH THE MANAGEMENT AND TOLD THEM IT IS A S--T HOLE AND HE AGREED WITH ME. I ASKED FOR A REFUND AND WITH A SMILE ON HIS FACE HE TOLD ME YOU WILL BE LUCKY.

Couldn't check in until 6pm as not enough cleaners to do the rooms. Outside was very unkempt and filthy. Lots of damage and run down rooms. Also none of the amenities were open during our weeks stay at Southport. Have photos to support my review.

After reading bad reviews, I was expecting the worst but I could honestly say pontins brean , apartment was basic but it was just something to lay my head at end of the day, its was a bit run down but we did quite alot of site, plus side pontins made my daughter birthday magical they managed to put balloons and balloons up in the apartment and ad a birthday bag delivered to the apartment with cake and treats in

I would give 0 if I could.
Pontins at Southport - the reviews people have written are spot on.I thought they may have been over the top but they aren't the place needs knocking down its filthy, room filthy activities included in the price closed.
Staff rude and aggressive. People partying and screaming at 3/4 I clock in the morning.
Avoid!!!!! Never experienced anything like it in my life.

Things we found in our Pontins Chalet.

A toilet brush outside the door
The toilet leaked upon the floor
A lonesome sock within a drawer
(Someone misses that I'm sure)
Some wrappers from a sweet or two
A giant glowstick, red, not blue
A lighter tucked into the seat
Some crisps that someone didn't eat
Brown fingerprints upon the wall
"I hope that's chocolate" said us all
A bunch of ring pulls on a ring
A drawer that will not go back in
An empty pack of something sour
We cleaned the whole place for an hour
Washed all the plates and mugs so fast
For there was [cigarette] ash in a glass
Discarded half drunk water bottle
I don't think they cleaned up at all
And I think it's best the less that's said
About the hard lump in our bed

Note: The second day we came back from the beach to a very friendly note from the maintenance man saying we could move 2 doors down. This chalet was not *as* messy but still a bit of a state so spent a good chunk of time cleaning a second chalet. It did have a remote for the TV though AND a bin, which our first did not. Luxury 😂

Filthy and disgusting
We arrived late around 8.00 pm after 5 h drive , received key and went to apartment. When we open door straight away vomit odour from inside. Very dirty and filthy. Crap on windows . Everywhere webs and spider.
We went to reception and ask for change of a room and we get response that they are full and they will come and clean, but it will take time maybe 2,3 hours .
We ask for a manager as we were very tired after travel, we did not get any Offer where to wait etc. Very rude girl told us that manager will say the same. We still want to talk to manager, her response was that he is on break.
When manager come back he told us that they are doing a good job as they only missed 12 rooms and they are full. He called someone to clean room . So we actually have to stand outside apartment and wait for a cleaner, he told us it will take around 40 mins to clean room. In a meantime we went to buy some cleaning equipment when we come back my husband told me cleaning team was already in there and just mop floor and spray something for a smell.
Because we live far away we decided to clean in by ourselves. It took 2 hours to clean that room and it was still not good. Vomit odour was still in there. We did not use any staff from kitchen as all were disgusting.
It was holiday from Sun ( not our first one) they charge extra for service which was not in there at all
Avoid that place, rude staff and horrible conditions.

We arrived Friday to Monday, we only paid £61 for a sun holiday, the rooms were OK, everything there, toaster, kettle, oven, plates, cutlery, pot and so on even had iron and iron board, I didn't expect much for the money as it was so cheap, but it did meet my expectations, bath water always lovely and hot, we had lovely neighbours at the time, no load music or shouting in the nights, my 9 year old daughter loved it, my husband use to be a doorman and we watched the blue coats telling ppl to get off the stage and little boy swinging the yoyo around, I seen these staff work so hard while the doormen gathered up the top of the foyer. My husband was always collecting glasses and being vigilant while ppl were around, Everyone was so happy and delightful. Couldn't fault our stay. My daughter loved every minute of it, will definitely go again.

This place looks like it hasn’t been painted since the 80s. We arrived before check in time as it said we could use the “facilities” until then. What facilities?! Nothing was working and no staff on anything. We got a drink and was greeted with a lovely mood. Staff are really rude. Website is an absolute catfish!

To book the swimming which you’re only allowed 45 minutes, you have to book the night before at the hub between 5-6 but it’s never open to book!

The arcade machine to change notes wasn’t working and I asked a staff member if she could help, her response was “I don’t know”.

The people are all drunk walking around with their babies in prams, losing their children and smoking cannabis all around the place! Not to mention how rude and obnoxious some people were.

The room wasn’t even hoovered or mopped and there was dust. Hardly any utensils and of course you have to bring your own bedding. Me and my partner had to share one pillow the entire weekend as it’s a ghost town and no way of getting hold of anyone. The website stated you could hire an iron but they didn’t have any.

The smoke alarm kept going off and waking us up.

The toilets are not cleaned (public) and we’re absolutely disgusting. Soap is never filled up and urine all over the men’s floors.

The location is near camber sands beach and that area is lovely. But pontins is so run down and I’m unsure how on earth they are still open. I understand it’s cheap but it would of been cheaper to stay at home and actually have a decent bed rather than a hard beaten up sofa bed. The duvets they supplied smelt like urine and we’re stained.

Your staff need training on how to treat people that are supposed to be on holiday and learn some respect and manners.

Next to our room was full of drug users. How can you even class yourself as a holiday.

The games room, the pool table has a cardboard tube for the balls! The bath runs so slow and our room didn’t have a shower. The drawers were all broken.

I certainly won’t be coming back and would rather stay in the land or coffins. We went home early.

We enjoyed the entertainment and that was about it and our time together but no thanks to the hell hole.

On arriving to the camber sands pontins, walked into the apartment and was greeted with pure dirt.. the smell was horrid.. the place hadn’t been touched since the last occupants left.. food on the floor, pots had been washed and left on the draining board.. fridge still had milk in.. bath was dirty with sand.. queued for over an hour to check in, how anybody is still coming on holiday to this place is beyond me.. i wouldn’t come again..

Extremely dirty, especially in this current climate! Chewing gum on windows, not cleaned on arrival. No equipment! I went self catering due to my son having special diet; no knives, pot, pan, plates Ivan wear and none that they could give you. Ended up buying food in foil trays to cook. I didn’t even have any pillows and had to use a duvet to put my head on. Majority of activities on site is shut due to no staff. Area is poorly maintained when could be made lovely. Andy on maintenance was extremely helpful, kind, when the majority of the rest of the staff were rude. Andy deserves a medal! My son was sick in the pool, I took him out and told the lifeguard and they didn’t even close or clean it. It was due to swallowing water, but even so, I felt for the families left in. I met many lovely families there, all their stories were very similar!

Southport Pontins.
Needs a complete revamp, chalets look like they have not been touched since they were built.
Not cleaned correctly so had to set to and clean it myself.
It was more like a badly kept detention centre.
I had to take some bedding back as damp and smelt fusty.
Swimming pool was beyond filthy. If you don't become ill after being in it you will be very lucky.
Very disappointed. So glad i didn't pay a fortune for it, came home early.
The only good thing was its near a beach.

WHOLE PLACE NEEDS REVAMP AT PAKEFIELD PLACE WAS FILTHY MOULD IN BATHROOM ROUN SHOWER RUSTY SHOWER RAIL NO TOILET PAPER FOOD WAS GOOD BUT HAD TO QUEQE IN ONE FOR HALF AN HOUR NEED MORE STAFF

I went here with my family expecting to have some fun we came here the first day not so bad the apartment wasn’t bad we cleaned it a little and put our own bedding for the mattress the problems started when we went to the arcade or the play areas for my little sister the staff were rude and looked like they didn’t care at all about the place at all most of the machines were broken we managed to open the hole where the money is meant to come out of if the machine was broken and found a few founds inside when we went upstairs we smelt urine and the floors were dirty and stained the fire alarms go of twice a day at the most at night I can hear people through the walls at other blocks just being loud i am impressed with the place though as they have a low budget so pontine your place is good but you have a long way to go.

Arrived at prestatyn on Friday for 3 nights. The shall was very small with a double bed, wardrobe, tv, cooker, kitchen all in one room. Even had a door behind the wardrobe that was locked which leads into next door.the walls was paper thin so u could hear the TV and talking from next door. We went to make a brew and had no cups to make them, also only one small plate for two people. I went to reception to ask for the stuff that was missing and was bought another plate and the plastic pint cups that u use in the bar to make a brew in. I was told you will have to make do with them?. We made our broker the best possible as we was out all day as we didn't want to go bk to it apart to sleep.on the horrible beds. I won't be returning

Shame iv had to put one star because it’s not worthy of so many.. to say place is a disgusting dirty dump is an understatement. Pictures show beds all made up but there’s NO bedding,no electric, even though we was told there was £3 on, so now we have to traipse, with 3 kids back to find some… place is dirty with sofa pull out bed full of dirt and crumbs… please do not come here. All I want to do is go home. An hour to check in. This place should defiantly be condemned

One word ‘disgusting’! Domestics need to go on a course on how to clean. @CamberSands should be shutdown to be refurbished place is falling apart.
They need to be inspected by @CQC
