I've bought some lovely fruit from Pomona over the years. What I like is that you can follow up with them with questions and they are very helpful. I recently wanted advice about how to care for a rather spectacular blueberry - now 6' tall - and they wrote back quite swiftly with useful, practical advice.

I have never been given so much false information by a company .
Top of tree pruned for packing , diseased growing tip (shouldn't be selling tree) some customers want cordon trained , makes tree bushy, not stated in description.
Stated, trees stop growing end of july /aug in heat and tip dies utter rubbish this is the uk, led me to question nationality of person I was speaking to.
I have years of experience a large garden and many trees.
Trees are not tipped routinely in garden centres or nurseries
Just be honest and state its done for packaging.
Lost a customer and I will not recommend a supplier with so little knowledge of trees.

Fantastic personalised service. I was due to go on an extended holiday just when my fruit bushes were due to be delivered, Pomona ensured that my delivery arrived a few days after my return.

Plants arrived very well packaged, great size and looked healthy and vigorous, with instructions on how to plant.

Bought two trees from Pomona Fruits, one did not take after sending pictures to them of the bare branch specimen without quibble they sent me a beautiful replacement tree.

An excellent service - my cherry cordon arrived beautifully packed and in great condition.

I had ordered a columnar Victoria plum and when I spoke to the lady asked when the delivery would be. She said Nov - Dec. I said I was just a bit concerned as I was away the middle of November for a week and she said Oh no it will be the end of Nov definitely and if not that, Dec. It wasn't. It was delivered yesterday whilst I was on holiday!! Thankfully a day hadn't hurt it too much though I dread to think if it had been delivered a few days earlier, what state would it have been in. It looks a strong plant but 2 of the branches were snapped. The invoice inside said information was enclosed to help with how to plant which I wanted to do really quickly. Wrong! No information enclosed. It was the first time I'd ordered off Pomona Fruits so don't really think I would use them again.

Excellent company. I recently purchased Plum and Greengage trees from Pomona Fruits, and I have been delighted with their first-class service. There are real people to deal with, a wide and well-tended product range, good value, and good packing and shipping arrangements. This is a five-star company with five-star products and service.

First time ordering from this company and really happy! I enquired about a plant that I was interested in as I could not find it anywhere else online, and the customer service responded back pretty quickly.

Upon arrival, the plant had 1 fruit already growing and plenty of flowerbuds. There was no damage to the branches and I could tell that the nursery took great care in packaging the plant. I would definitely buy again, thank you Pomona Fruits.

Do not buy from this company. I’m a very experienced grower and have bought bare rooted plants, roses, fruit bushes and canes many times before. The raspberry canes they despatched (late in the season) were completely dried out and dead. I know what the difference is between dormant and dead. They insisted they could not have been dead and have patronised me, fobbed me off endlessly and blamed me for the fact they didn’t grow. They have now said they will send replacements - in Feb-March. So almost a year since I contacted them to complain about the canes being dead. And they are still lecturing me on what I should do to prevent failure next time - again implying it’s my fault. I’m a skilled gardener but I can’t resurrect dead plants. Totally arrogant and appalling customer service. I don’t believe they will dispatch the replacements unless I chase them endlessly, and I have no confidence in the quality of what I will receive.

Bought a Tibetan Cherry tree. Delivered in good time and has already had an excellent growth spurt!

Sent a replacement tree within days of the report to Pomona Fruits

I have had excellent results with Pomona Fruits in the past but when one of two blueberry bushes failed after receiving identical treatment I contacted the company. They have replaced the bush very quickly and as you may guess I am highly delighted. Thank you Pomona!

About three months after receipt, one of a pair of honeyberries had completely failed to thrive. I notified Pomona and was advised that it might take a little longer for that variety to show developing buds. A couple of weeks ago, I again advised them that it was no better, and provided a photo. I received a very quick response, with a request to provide name of the variety. I now have a replacement with perfect evidence of new growth. Excellent after sales service!

I can really recommend Pomona Fruits for their excellent after sales service on 2 separate occasions. Firstly they replaced free of charge my cordon plum tree which failed to thrive, and secondly a year later, when deer destroyed the bark on another of their trees, they gave me very good advice on what to do with it to try to save it,and also how to protect another tree from being attacked in the future. They answered emails and calls quickly and have been very friendly and informative. I will certainly use them in the future.

The grape vine I ordered was of a very good size, in perfect condition (even to the extent of having two bunches of grapes forming!). It was securely and safely packaged with plenty of air holes and arrived without any damage.
First rate!.

We bought 9 cordon fruit trees (Cox, Russet and Discovery apple trees, Williams and Concorde pears. Cordia, Sunburst and Penny cherry trees and Herman plum and in one purchase on 28 February 2023 - all arrived promptly in one box. Some were better developed, some slightly less, two cherry trees were just a healthy looking whips. Today they are all doing excellently well, with healthy leaves and some of them are blossoming too. We were utterly impressed with the service - one of the Cox apples arrived with a damaged bark. I sent an email with some photos to customer services and Pomona suggested that they will send a replacement as soon as possible. The replacement cordon Cox tree arrived within 10 days. We actually kept the damaged tree too and it doing excellently well however we we worrying that the damaged bark may affect the strength of the tree in the future so didn't want to risk it. We planted it in a separate area - rather than in our mini cordon orchard - and it is in full bloom now! All other are doing amazingly well too - pity there is no facility here to attach a photo

The apple tree was carefully packaged and looked nice and healthy on arrival. I rang the company and spoke to lovely helpful lady who gave me some good advice regarding caring for the tree prior to planting it. I highly recommend this company; their plants/trees are very good quality and their Customer Service is excellent.
