Bizarre report from an ignorant 'expert'

I had an 'expert' sent by Axa to my flat in Nice. I reported the leak in early November. Polyexpert would not send their 'expert' until December, 9th. When Mr Monge eventually arrived, he told me that I should not have done any works before he could assess the damage. According to him, I had to live in a flooded flat until he arrived! Next, when he did his assessment, he told me that he could not asses the damage as the works have been already completed. He would not accept the works schedule by the plumbing company - saying that they quoted an excessive cost. However, he could not tell me who would do the same work for a lower price. At the end he wrote a report to Axa advising them that the cost of repair was actually 1/3 of what I had to pay. It appears that his only objective was to minimise the cost for the insurer. I will not be renewing insurance with Axa!

Polyexpert Limoges

We then had burst pipes flooding the ground floor in one of our properties and it has now taken 2 months before being finalised.

POLYEXPERT were assigned to us by ALLIANZ.fr with Xavier Moulin being the "expert" assigned to us. Their website gives an option to contact "your expert" via email, which I did, however no response was received for 3 weeks and then the email received was not answering any questions, only to tell us when he was coming out which was a date that did not suit us anyway. We were told that if we did not accept the appointment proposed we would have to wait another 3 weeks - which would then have been 6 weeks after the water pipe burst.

They had not helped us with obtaining a plumber for the leak which still had not been repaired yet still insisted on coming out to quote. They referred us back to ALLIANZ for a plumber, who had referred us to them and then referred us to AAD Phenix who referred us back to ALLIANZ etc etc ....
I ended up with 3 contact email addresses for them but received only one initial email back from them until I started getting a great employee from the ALLIANZ.fr complaints department (though ALLIANZ.fr themselves are shocking).
Please take heed to ensure you don't go through what we went through ...
