Disappointing customer service
We stayed ay white star cottage in polruan. The setting was lovely and the views very nice and the cottage had some nice modern features e.g. showers, tv's etc.
The access to Polruan and specifically the cottage was horendous through very narrow and steep lanes and at one point I scraped my wing mirror due to poor instructions given by the owners to unload our car. The levels of cleanliness were not good with cob webs all over the place and the large patio area looked like it had not been cleaned for months. The owner did get the cleaners to come back but all they did was sweep up the area and did not clean the furniture of the many seagull detritous so we had a go at doing this ourselves. the garden furniture was rusty and had seen better days. We would maybe have considered returning but we have received a very defensive and partly insulting email from the owner. This person obviously does not know the meaning of the word customer service and I assume lives along way from their properties. I think they should try living in their cottages to see what their customers experience.
