I received quick answers which is always appreciated. The customer service was polite and efficient, despite of not been able to change my username I was satisfied by the answers given.

Yah sports.

First I get an email stating my country will be blocked from all Pokerstars activity on July 1st. Suggests I withdraw any funds I have with the cashier.
As I have been nearly exclusively on PLAY MONEY, I only have a cash balance of $6.11.
So I went to withdraw it, found I was blocked.
Then I start getting all these emails to submit proof of residence and identity...passport, bank records, etc etc...for a service I am no longer even a part of.
I guess they are saying unless I submit a host of confidential material to this clown company I will be unable to withdraw my funds.
Be aware, I have been with them for over 20 years, I have a unique login name, a password, and a security code that I use every time I login...as well as they trusted my identity enough to let me play cash games and to flood my email with their BS promotions.
It's worth $6.11 to simply give those scammers the middle finger.

UPDATE: Following their reply, their email stated all requirements for documentation are rescinded,and to simply return to the Cashier to withdraw my funds. I returned to the Cashier, blocked out by an Error Message.
I wonder how many funds are abandoned because of endless roadblocks?

I don't like the rakeback system. It seems designed to disadvantage the recreational player.

It was good to resolve my problem that I was made with the deposit.

I’ve been a player on PokerStars for several years. I like the table layouts and ability to modify the look to my liking. There are goofy things like emojis that I find irritating, but we have the option of disabling those too. I find there are always people available at any skill and dollar level to play with. I also like the occasional cash bonuses and satellite tournaments that you can earn. The staff at the Customer Service level are excellent. Problems get resolved quickly. And a biggie for me, when I cash out it hits my bank account in a couple of days. Have fun.

Found it was easier to locate games before. Uncanny improbable hands still occur beyond belief sometimes..therefore..cannot wage big or enter high buy in tourneys.Too much time given to stare at 2 pocket cards and make a decision in holdem.A player should not be able to hold a room hostage because they are playing multiple games.

Not enough player bonuses and loyalty points per dollar.

por favor envie minhas sugestoes ao time , aumentar proporção fichas/ bb nas retas dos torneios,com objetivo de aumentar a jogabilidade do esporte poker nas retas finais, pois pode ser frustrante jogar durante horas e vencer milhares de oponentes, pra chegar a reta final dos 10% finalistas e estar apertado em fichas por conta da relaçao fichas/bb , jogamos poker e mesmo recreativos jogamos por esporte, e não por cassino ou gambling aleatorio, gostamos da jogabilidade, e quem chega em uma reta de torneio nao se importa em demorar mais , por conta de um aumento proporcional a todos da quantidade de fichas ou proporcao fichas / bb , isto deixa o jogo real com jogabilidade, e não como é hoje, aperta muito e vira praticamente sorte flip apenas as retas finais, jogamos durante horas e vencemos mil oponentes pra chegar na reta e jogar uma moeda pra cima e decidir se chegamos a mesa final ou nao pela sorte, e pior do que isto, pra chegar na mesa final e perceber que a maior concentração do premio ja foi diluida entre bountys e pros jogadores que cairam antes da mesa final, isto não está certo, o poker se joga pra ser o vencedor final primeiro ou segundo ou terceiro de um torneio, são nestes 3 pessoas que deve estar concentrado o dinheiro do torneio, na mesa final , deve aumentar a concentração de dinheiro pros mesa final um pouco, e aumentar a concentração dinheiro para os mesa finalistas Please pass my suggestions on to the team: increase the chip-to-BB ratio during the late stages of tournaments to improve gameplay. It can be frustrating to play for hours and beat thousands of opponents only to reach the final 10% and find yourself short-stacked due to the chip-to-BB ratio. We play poker—even recreational players do it for the sport, not just for the casino or random gambling aspect—and we value the gameplay. Anyone reaching the late stage of a tournament wouldn't mind it taking a bit longer if everyone received a proportional increase in chips or a better chip-to-BB ratio. This would make it a game of skill rather than how it is now, where things get so tight that the final stages turn into a coin flip. We play for hours and beat a thousand opponents just to reach the end and have our fate—whether we make the final table or not—decided by luck. Even worse, you might reach the final table only to realize that the bulk of the prize pool has already been diluted by bounties and payouts to players who busted earlier. That isn't right; the goal of poker is to finish first, second, or third in a tournament. That is where the prize money should be concentrated. The payout structure needs to shift so that more of the money is concentrated on the final table and the finalists.

20 years of experience

I have been a PokerStars customer for about two decades, and overall my experience has been very positive. This is one of the very few companies I have stayed loyal to for such a long time, mainly because of their transparency and the way they treat their customers.

In the early years, I focused almost exclusively on poker. The platform was reliable, fair, and enjoyable to use, which kept me coming back even during periods when I was not very active.

Over time, I also started exploring their sportsbook. Today, I can say the variety of betting options is excellent, supported by stable software and responsive customer support that have consistently met — and often exceeded — my expectations.

A recent experience confirmed this. I had a bet voided due to a mix-up between two players sharing the same name, and I raised the issue with customer support. Instead of brushing it off, two live agents named Mario and Viktor followed up with the trading team, and once it was confirmed that the wrong player had been used to set the odds, PokerStars paid out the bet as a win. That level of care and willingness to make things right is exactly why I have stuck with this platform for so long.

Back to poker:
These days, poker does not have as many players as it once did, and features like multitabling and the old Supernova status have disappeared. Still, even after these changes, PokerStars remains a platform I trust and return to.

Looking ahead, I believe PokerStars could further improve by expanding its sportsbook offering — for example, adding more smaller table tennis and tennis tournaments, as well as additional betting opportunities on Formula 1.

After nearly 20 years of experience, my honest rating is 4.9 stars out of 5. The platform is excellent, but there is always room for improvement.

PokerStars fully deserves recognition for its consistency, trust, and reliability over such a long period.

I've been playing on this site for over 15 years and NEVER won a tournament; I'm a good player and usually win when I go to live tournaments and cash games. This boggles my mind and makes me think that it is fixed. The odds of never winning in 15 years are astronomical.

I’m posting this to warn other bettors about a serious issue I experienced with PokerStars Sportsbook. They changed my player selections after the match started, replacing the players I chose with completely different players who had far worse statistical chances of winning the bet. This happened on multiple bets, and it cost me money.
What happened
I placed player‑specific bets involving well‑known, high‑impact players. When those players didn’t appear in the match, PokerStars did not void the bets — which is the standard practice across regulated sportsbooks.
Instead, they replaced my chosen players with different players without my consent and without any rule in the market terms allowing substitutions.
For example:
I selected Bruno Fernandes, one of the highest‑assist midfielders in football.
PokerStars replaced him with Nélson Semedo, a defensive full‑back with almost no assist output.
This substitution made the bet practically unwinnable.
They did the same thing on another bet, swapping my chosen player for a statistically inferior one, again causing the bet to lose.
Why this is a problem
Player‑specific bets are supposed to be voided if the named player doesn’t play.
PokerStars’ own rules do not allow them to replace your player with someone else.
These substitutions were made after the bet was placed, without any notification.
The replacement players were significantly worse, making the bets unfairly stacked against me.
This practice directly harms bettors and violates standard settlement procedures.
My experience with support
When I contacted PokerStars support, they could not point to any rule that allowed these substitutions. Instead of voiding the bets, they insisted on settling them with the replacement players.
Why I’m warning others
This is not a small mistake — it’s a pattern. Changing a bettor’s selection to a weaker player is a serious breach of trust and creates an unfair betting environment. If this happened to me, it can happen to anyone.
My advice
Until PokerStars stops altering player selections without consent, bettors should be extremely cautious using their sportsbook. Always check your settled bets carefully, and don’t assume they follow industry‑standard rules.

There are too many BOTs playing. This makes for a very poor experience. Not a realistic game. I will never play on this site again. I've been ripped off for the last time

Great experience

Well I had some major problems when I could not get access to putting money into my account. I ended up talking to like seven different people there was no continuity to my issue and it took foreever to solve the problem. Not very impressive for a billon dollar company. Why not have your people if they cannot solve an issue right away make notes down so the next person who talks to the person with a problem can read the notes and better understand the situation. Instead of every time starting off from square zero. Thanks
