Great experience with PLS
We had an overall really positive experience with PLS especially with Eva McCann, she swiftly helped us exchanged contracts for our new build home. She was very through and very helpful. One point for improvement was we send over deposit for the house on Thursday afternoon/evening and only got confirmation on the following Monday afternoon. As this was a large sum of money we'd of appreciated if we could've had sooner confirmation so we weren't worried over the weekend.

With it being my first time buying a…
With it being my first time buying a house and using solicitors I wasn’t overly impressed due to the communication and length of sale. I felt quite responsible for having to manage the situation in order to speed up the process and it felt like there was a lack of proactiveness. There were several errors that I had to pester them to sort and it generally could have been a lot more organised. The pls portal I guess is a way to try and keep everything organised and to show me what they are working on but it probably created more confusion with how clunky it was... Documents wouldn’t open, titles left you guessing and the emails that were put on there from communications with the vendors solicitors were incorrectly formatted and didn’t include any attachments and in general were really unclear. That said, the vendors solicitors were really bad and certainly the ones that led to this drawn out sale but there was no urgency from PLS…seems like they’ve got too much on their plate. What was really helpful was going in person to see Sean to be able to meet him and to get some questions answered …he seems a lovely person, just a shame there wasn’t anything like ‘check-ins’ or monthly ‘review meetings’ either face to face or online. Think it would massively improve the experience, showing more care towards the client. It was always good to be able to chat to them on the phone but even then there were times when follow ups didn’t take place. Essentially there is a lot more that can be done to improve the client experience and ease of sale! Ending on a positive…I now have the house and I’m very grateful for all the time and effort that was put into this sale (especially for how quick the completion date was once everything was sorted). This wasn’t our first experience of using an online solicitor, but PLS Solicitors have genuinely impressed us from start to finish.
Amy and her team managed to handle our sale and purchase of a new-build home in just 5.5 weeks from instruction – something we honestly didn’t expect to be possible!
From putting our own home on the market, accepting an offer 3 dqys later, having our purchase with the developer agreed 5 days later, through to exchanging yesterday and completing tomorrow, the entire process has taken just 7 weeks.
Despite the incredibly tight timescale requested by developers, Amy and the team were never phased.
They were calm, responsive and incredibly helpful throughout, keeping everything moving and dealing with queries quickly whenever we needed them.
Moving home is stressful enough without working to such a tight deadline, so having a team we could trust to keep everything on track made such a difference.

I have had 5 star service from the moment engaged PLS, right through to completion. To say I have been impressed would be an understatement. The whole process was incredibly smooth, professional and, unbelievably, completed in just 4 weeks! Sarah Evans has been on top of the whole process all the way through.
Having sold property in the past, I know only too well how stressful and frustrating the process can be. I have had previous property sales take as long as 7 months, only for them to fall through at the very last minute. So to experience such a quick, efficient and hassle free sale this time has been an absolute pleasure.

I used PLS from a reccomendation from…
I used PLS from a reccomendation from my Mortgage broker to purchase a property in Oxford, Marston. Initially they were checking the boxes. However, towards the end of the sale they were incredibly slow and were constantly holding up the process while myself and the seller were keen to get it completed. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of communication from PLS solicitors, emails and phone calls would go weeks without a response or answer right up towards the exchange date.
In addition to this, there were required maintenance jobs on the property that were essential before the sell. PLS assured me that since the sellers solicitors had said in writing they would be completed before exchange and that there would be warranties on them, that they would be legally enforced if they weren't completed properly prior to the sale. However, the plumbing maintenance was not completed properly and the warranty on it does not apply to a new owner of the property. I am now having to pay thousands for this work to be done and PLS says there is nothing they can do, despite their assurances during the sale. They did not do the basic checks of warranty properly and now cannot be bothered to help me pursue legal action despite my requests. Complete incompetance has been shown by them throughout this process.
I would not reccomend PLS solicitors to anyone who expects clear communication, timely execution and a job done well.
