Really gone downhill! Many of their items are not actually in stock, and they've become more of a drop shipper than a retailer. Except they're even slower than other drop shippers such as rarewaves and tradeinn. You'd think your game was being shipped to their warehouse on a cargo ship! What's worse is say for example you've ordered 8 games and 7 are in stock, they'll wait for the 8th item to come in stock before shipping your order. Meanwhile, the 7 items that are actually in stock could go out of stock at any moment (and perhaps permanently), so you're back to square one again! To add to this, their sales are very deceptive. I added items which are purportedly on sale to my basket and compared them to a recent full-price order I've made (which still hasn't been shipped after 2 months). Lo and behold, the on sale items ended up more expensive. What they've done is just removed the VAT from the item price (which claims to include taxes), but when you reach checkout you'll wonder why the price has suddenly increased by 20%. Very sneaky!

I pre-ordered a game from them like 2 months before the game launched, the order got confirmed and it said that I would receive it on launch day or close to it, not only I did not receive the game, I texted them and they sent a mail back to me that “ We are sorry to inform you that we are unable to source the stock for this particular
item.” Thanks. Now I missed both the launch, and can’t even get the same edition anymore(collector’s edition) since it’s sold out everywhere or it’s double priced on eBay….Very disappointing honestly.

I took a $10 gift card just to try out of caution... And I'm glad I did!
Instead of the code, I received the craziest verification either, where you have to take a shot of yourself with your passport and your credit card and the number of the command... like what!!
Btw, it was a virtual card, like anyone wise shopping on the internet. I'm pretty sure they take advantage of this to steal people money, because in the real world, if a commerce can't accept or verify your mode of payment, then they just don't accept it — they don't hold your money hostage like that.
Anyway: scammy business, don't go there 🤬🤬🤬🤬
(it's funny because they claim "it's standard" without addressing the point, which is you can't take a picture of yourself holding a virtual card... besides, no, it's not standard at all. It's very scammy 🤣)

I preordered a game but they keep adding eta on the order. STOP ADDING ETA IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE PRODUCT. I could have gotten it from somewhere else but it is sold our everywhere. I would ask for a refund but oh yeah that's right they only give you store credit. Terrible place to preorder games

24/7 Customer Service but can't handle the 3rd party problem. even I have show my strong proof that the key cant activate in my country. First of all before you post every game that available on that country you should base on IP ADDRESS. So no hassle for your customer. For now i think this site is not trusted your money is not safe even small or big amount. So careful choosing game site seller.

Ordered a novel. It took a bit long to be shipped (maybe 10 days or a couple weeks?) but everything went smooth afterwards.

From the start it was an absolute disaster, I purchased 2 games from which 1 of them they didn't have in stock and then they said they had but eventually it was all completely false since they had no stock but they still advertised the game. For the other game they actually had absolutely 0 idea nor it was advised anywhere nor guidelines about it that I had to pay 2 times the cost of the game on custom clearance charges, licences and fees, it was surreal. They kept finding out all of those charges when sending to Thailand as the courier was informing them about it. Eventually I had to go by myself to customs at the airport to pay 50% charges to clear the game since luckily the courier was kind enough to absorb the rest.
For the cancelled game it took them 2 and half months to find a way to refund me and actually I got a partial refund since the made me as customer absorb charges on the bank's end such as currency exchange and other charges. Summarizing I ended up with 1 game which coated me 50% more and loss of 25% of another game that I never had. They are the worst site even and I would never recommend them.

After getting the run around from customer service for a week, I had to force a refund from paypal.

They never send things to my correct address
They send it to an old address
They say they'll use your PayPal address
They won't
I would recommend avoiding purchasing digital codes at Playasia. The code I received (and tried to use within 15 minutes of receiving) had already been claimed. I contacted Playasia support and I'm currently on day 8 of back and forth with them. No refund and no replacement code yet. I will not be back to Playasia for digital purchases and recommend you avoid them also!

Thank you Playasia. I received my missing card. Thank you very much. I will keep buying from this platform
One of the worst sites to deal with especially if you’re trying to download load a mc fee security security for Apple Mac .Which is not compatible with their download application. Further they will not refund your monies unless you follow their protocols.A complete farce.
IF I COULD POST ZERO STARS I WOULD...
TWO WEEKS!
TWO WEEKS YOU'VE HAD THE GAME BACK FOR AND I STILL HAVEN'T BEEN REFUNDED.
LET'S LIST EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE WRONG.
AT SOME POINT THE GAME'S CONTENT CHANGED BUT YOU COULDN'T BE BOTHERED TELLING YOUR COSTUMER/S.
SENT OUT A DIFFERENT GAME.
TRIED TO GASLIGHT YOUR CUSTOMER THAT IT WASNT A DIFFERENT GAME.
DENIED THAT IT WASNT A DIFFERENT GAME.
DIDN'T BELIEVE YOUR CUSTOMER DESPITE MULTIPLE PIECES OF EVIDENCE THAT YOUR CUSTOMER HAD TO PROVIDE THEMSELVES.
TOLD YOUR CUSTOMER THAT THEY HAD TO KEEP THE GAME BUT WOULD OFFER A COUPLE DOLLARS, PITTANCE REALLY, IN COMPENSATION.
TRIED TO MAKE THE CUSTOMER PAY TO HAVE THE GAME RETURNED.
TRIED TO GASLIGHT THE CUSTOMER THAT THEY HAD ALREADY PAID THE REFUND.
HAD THE ITEM NOW FOR TWO WEEKS YET STILL HASN'T REFUNDED THE MONEY.
Bought a Pokemon go plus from here and I definitely recommend it came new and works great will be back
Good Experience. Its hard to buy stuff from eshops when you're in a "third world" country, but Playasia makes it easy and painless, with no crazy extra fees. Would buy from them again, definitely.
Terrible company. Made a $90 order. Then nothing for three weeks. So I send them an email asking about my order. They tell me they’re waiting for the items to arrive, which is weird because they’re selling the items but don’t have them? Then a day or two later, they tell me one of my items is actually unavailable and ask what I wanted to do about it. I said can you just replace it with one of the other region versions of the same item because they had those. They tell me, because it’s such a HUGE price difference, they can’t do it…it’s $8. I ask if they can compensate me since it’s a fault on their end and they’ve done this same thing to me years ago, they say no. Then after many emails and days they say they will cover $5 and I need to cover the rest… okay so $5 is okay but $8 is just outrageous? On a $90 order no less. I ended up just refunding the whole thing and don’t want to do business with a company that doesn’t actually have any of the products you order because they rely on other businesses inventory. If it wasn’t for the 3 weeks of zero emails or contact I would maybe let it slide.
Playasia is one of the best stores on the internet for Asian video games, books, figures and other stuff. I've used them for over 10 years and they always deliver, great packing, great service, stuff that's hard to find anywhere else for fair prices. Thought I should leave a review since I've used them so much over the years.
I’ve purchased from this company before with no issues. This is a great way to get games that do no release in the US. That being said my latest purchase was disappointing to say the least. I received my first game with no issues and it was a physical copy of a switch 2 game and I received it with no issues and had an excellent experience. Recently I watched for the release of the physical copy of final fantasy tactics for switch 2. After searching up exactly that “verbatim” I came across the one on play Asia and figured since I had such a good experience the first time I will try it out again with this game. After nearly 2 weeks of waiting and 60$ in the hole I received my package but was very much disappointed to learn that I received a game cartridge case with no cartridge and a few slips of paper inside that were unusable. I was furious. It had to be a mistake? I reached out to their team who were very unhelpful and informed me that they would not work with me to do any type of exchange or refund. When I decided I had been defeated and would settle with my digital copy of this game with the pointless cartridge case that I didn’t need. I began to attempt to redeem the code. My switch indicated that it was not redeemable to the USA. Again I was upset…why would a company knowingly export a game to the US that is not redeemable in that region then blame the customer? When I reached out to them and escalated to a supervisor he stated that after a “thorough review “ of my case they came to the same decision..again very unhelpful and no reason as to why other then it was my mistake and nothing to explain the misleading product that they continued to sell to customers. Please do not attempt to by this product if you live in the US.
