Not the quality I was expecting
Received new nhs hearing aids about 4 months ago, the app can be challenging , a background hiss most of the time and the Bluetooth sound quality is awful, contacted nhs audiologist who referred me to Phonak , who I have emailed twice and have not replied once .
Sorry to say this app drives me crazy…
Sorry to say this app drives me crazy have to use speaker to make & receive calls. Should be on audio which allows me to hear thru the hearing aids & I can walk around & still hear. On Thursday spent one hour on phone to correct lasted for a day & half & off again. Very annoying ready to give up on these hearing aids worst ones I ever had.
Failing NHS Phonak Nathos Auto M hearing…
Had NHS Phonak Nathos Auto M hearing aids since March 2020 & the mics regulalrly fail at about two yearly intervals.
Never had this problem with previous NHS Oticon hearing aids.

When this app works it is very useful.
I've had my Phonak HAs for only two weeks and so for the actual aids are really good BUT BUT BUT, I give the app 2 stars. Its bluetooth connection is flaky at best and now only the L HA has re-connected after 30 min. of trying - no luck with the R HA. When it was working properly it frequently disconnected for no obvious reason - two to three times a day. Unsatisfactory. The aids are on a two month-money back trial - there are other good equivalent aids available! Mmmm!
Complete and utter rubbish
Honestly, if there were minus Stars, I would give this app -10 stars. Like fools gold, it glitters on the outside but underneath, it is rubbish. I have recently had new NHS hearing aids with Bluetooth and I was really looking forward to being able to adjust them to suit my needs which I couldn’t do with my old private aids. Unfortunately, I now spend half or more of my life trying to get the hearing aids to connect. The other half of my life is spent restoring the custom programs I created which the app has lost or restoring settings to the custom programs which it has lost prior to losing the program itself. I have only had the app for about four weeks and I have lost count of the number of times I have had to deleted the app, disconnect the hearing aids from Bluetooth, restart my Android phone, re load the app from Google Play and start all over again. Normally, Bluetooth has a range of at least 30 feet, but if I go to the kitchen without my phone, they disconnect from the app. Needless to say, my kitchen and living room are not separated by 30feet! I have a Ring doorbell. Whenever it goes off, the pop defaults to the Automatic program so I have to try and get my custom program back, but can’t because the hearing aids have disconnected again. Total nightmare. Mostly I am. Stuck with the automatic program where I get this continuous background hiss, which is driving me to drink. This is the 21st century. Surely Phonak can do better than this.
Don’t waste your money
Unresponsive customer support. Somebody call 911!!
I can’t say you have bad customer service because I’ve gotten no support. Just ignored.
Promoted as world class hearing aids. They aren’t. Should be world class scam and waste of money.
Poor warranty service and rubbish charging.
I have had Phonak P50r for 2 years and they are good except 2 things. Battery charging and service from the shop. Admittedly this is from a third party shop who is an agent for Phonak but their service is rubbish. The charging issue was there from day 1 and they have been back at least 10-15 times with the same complaint and all they do is reset them and clean them. I have suggested replacing them with new ones under warranty and they refused. I still have ongoing charging problems but as it is 2 hours out of my day to go to the shop each way I simply can not be bothered. I would not buy Phonak again for that reason.
I have had my nhs hearing aids with…
I have had my nhs hearing aids with Bluetooth for only a few months. I can connect to blue tooth no problem and even open the phonak app. The problem is I have a Samsung A52S phone and when it goes to sleep mode it resets the mode back to automatic twice. I have emailed support twice in the last few weeks and had no response. I even saw my audiologist and even he was confused.
Not good when you work in a open office.
Buyer beware
Absolutely not worth the money. Good luck getting a response from the manufacturer!
Be careful dealing with Phonak Spain…
Be careful dealing with Phonak Spain their prices are exorbitantly higher than for instance the UK, Lumina 90 here 5000€ or more in the UK £2700. Additionally their repair costs are almost double UK about 250€ per aid from Phonak Spain, I have just been charged when only one Marvel Virto needed a repair. To be fair although I hated BTE aids the sound quality was good unlike their App which was obviously designed by a non hearing aid user. I will never buy Phonak again average product terrible service.
Non existent Customer Support
My father was issued with Phonak hearing aids by NHS. Following instructions on support pages on Phonak website I asked for assistance with setting up phonak tv connector (purchased from Amazon) and use of Phonak app. It took 6 days and a chase email, for Phonak to reply: even then they simply referred me to the audiologist. After highlighting that the NHS has no responsibility for the Phonak app, or Phonak devices purchased from retailers, I was simply referred back to the audiologist. Lessons: Phonak will not accept any responsibility for supporting consumers who purchase their products or try to use their app; my 93 year old father remains unable to benefit from the properties Phonak promote their products provide; following Phonak advice to seek support using their online form is a waste of time.
Phonak and Audeo are a scam
Phonak and Audeo are a scam, total ripoff and pure, unadulterated junk. I paid $6,000 for a pair of P70s and never got anything closely resembling sound quality. Started having problems with one or the other aids, thankfully never both at once, as I was nearing the payoff point. I took them to the audiologist where I bought them and his focus was on my purchase date rather than the problem I was having. That tells me they are designed to fail in a certain time span and i won't be buying another pair. And if that's not bad enough, the app sucks as well. You can customize the program for your needs, yes, but you have to keep going back to the app because it will switch off your preference and go back to "automatic" setting every time. Automatic setting is just another word for "earplug" setting. Worst high dollar purchase I have ever made and I won't do it again.
Very poor App
Very poor App. Not fit for purpose
Come on Phonak you can do better!!??
Do not buy from Phonak
My wife has Phonak hearing aids and the MyPhonak App is useless and not fit for purpose. They have not been very helpful in trying to solve this at all. Do not waste your money on Phonak products!!
I purchased one pair of blue tooth…
I purchased one pair of blue tooth phonak hearing aid .it is worst kind of hearing aid.Rather than helping it is proved a problem for me.It produce too much noise all the day and 80% calls don't ring.I complaind many time (from whom I purchased) but every time I am send saying that ur mobile has a problem
.They are not ready to accept it that the pair is defective.
Dreadful push the customer around from…
Dreadful push the customer around from pillar to post because they couldn't be bothered to sort out two simple requests.
1 .I wanted to buy a plug for my charger to use in the EU.
2. I wanted to know if the drying unit for my hearing aids would be suitable paradise set I'd bought.
Each time they refused to answer simple requests, other than to say go back to your audiologist who supplied the hearing aids.
Great but I purchased my hearing aids in Boots Warrington store, and I live in Portugal. So not exactly easy to just pop in. This was explained to Phonak who still gave the same stock answer.
Awful service sorry to have bought Phonak.
Non-existent support
One of my hearing aids, less than a year old, has needed resetting time and time again and gave up the ghost over 2 weeks ago. I contacted technical support on line and they acknowledged my enquiry but I've heard nothing since then, despite reminders. Totally useless support.
Don’t waste your time or money
I was fitted with the Oticon hearing aids and returned the to the audiologist. She gave me the Phonak to try and if I liked them she would order them. First day… great. After that downhill. Kept unpairing, battery life limited. Had them charging overnight and after about two hours they were at 60%. Had to reboot my phone, reboot app… no changes. Bringing them back.
Helpful BUT........
Only my second pair, and the first were another brand, much older. I never wore them much either.
Phonak-had them 12 months now. Dont wear them all the time, just for meetings, tv movies if no sub titless, phone calls and the like. The 4K cost:-mass produced, probably the same electronics in all models just dummed down for the cheaper (sic) models. How can they charge so much? R&D?-you must be joking.
The app:-Confusing, two BT modes, one for control and one for normal BT. Hit and miss main BT connection, never sure if it will respond to a call or not. It mostly does eventually but often into the call.
Charger-ffs why does it not have a battery built in to charge the aids when away from power source?? Like my very much cheaper Samsung pods has?
Taking the aids out of the charger turns them on, great. Putting them in does not - why in Gods name not? So you have to fiddle with BOTH aids to turn off before you put them in the box.
If the power goes off the charger, they turn on anyway (it seems), and then are flat when next you reach for them, unless power is restored.
Volume tones, surely there is a better way. I cant judge where I am on the scale.
The Phonak hearing aids are okay
The Phonak hearing aids are okay. The problem is with the Phonak TV Connector which transmits sound to the hearing aids. The audio cable to connect the transmitter to the audio output on the TV isn't compatible. I have 4 TV's and cannot connect to any of them.
A Phonak customer service Representative was very unhelpful , suggesting that I should contact the TV manufacturer. This Representative must have been in some Asian country; hard to understand.
