Dreadful service from dealer not helped by lack of support from Peugeot France.

My mild hybrid 3008 has been with my dealer for over four weeks having call backs dealt with. They say that they are presently held up completing things because of lack of support from Peugeot France regarding internet downloads!

This is just part of the story which also involves the dealer itself, they do however need support from the manufacturer. I have been caused huge inconvenience over it all.

It's PEUGEOT FRANCE LETTING US DOWN
I had pride in my new Peugeot 3008 mild hybrid purchased January 2024. Everything was fine, until the call backs were needed. Over 7 weeks so far in the garage. Peugeot France are not providing the support needed and fail to keep agreed appointments for video links with dealer.

I was scammed by Peugeot

I paid 4458 TL via bank transfer to extend the warranty for my Peugeot 3008 at the Erdemir Peugeot Service Center in Haramidere, Avcılar, Istanbul, to extend the warranty by one year. During the process, I was told the warranty would be extended by one year, but I later learned it was only extended by mileage. The only reason I took my car to that service center was because it was the closest service I could tow since my car wouldn't start; otherwise, given my previous experiences, it's a service I would never want to go to.

When I spoke with the dealership manager, I asked him if it made sense to extend the mileage limit to 60,000 for the last 20 days of the warranty, given that I'd driven 35,000 km in four years. He said it was perfectly reasonable. I believe I shouldn't even consider buying a car from a company that employs people with this approach, let alone consider it.

I have documents such as receipts and invoices to rectify this situation. I contacted Peugeot customer service about the issue, and they told me an investigation has been launched.

I request that the warranty be extended to one year, as promised at the time of sale. I request that my grievance be remedied.

My Long-Term Review

Having owned Peugeot 3008 since 2015, I've now spent a full decade behind its wheel.
What I Love:
From day one, the exterior design has been a major draw for me. Even after all these years, its distinctive and somewhat quirky styling still looks fresh and stands out from the crowd. Another consistent winner is the fuel consumption. This car is remarkably efficient for its class, and over a decade, that adds up to significant savings on running costs. It's been incredibly economical, whether I'm navigating city traffic or cruising on the highway. Finally, the ease of driving and handling has always been a pleasure. The steering is light and responsive, making it nimble around town light and responsive, making it nimble around town and surprisingly comfortable on longer journeys. It's a very staightforward car to operate, which contributes to a relaxed driving experience.

What could be better:
My main practical gripe is the boot space. While it's generally adequate for daily errands, it's not as large as I'd ideally want, especially when planning longer trips or needing to carry more substantial items. The most perplexing issue I've faced was a very specific starting problem: the car would refuse to start in very humid weather. This was incredibly frustrating, and it took a long time for multiple mechanics to even diagnose, let alone fix. It highlighted a broader challenge: the scarcity of truly good, knowledgeable service centers for Peugeots in my area, especially for obscure, non-standard issues.

No assistance to my question

No answer to my many request for what the error message showing means. Either Peugeot do not have the expertise or they just don't care about their customers. I would never buy a Peugeot vehicle again. And that means that in 2015 Peugeot will NOT get my custom for my new car. I wold give 0 stars if this was possible

My Peugeot 2008 vehicle

My Peugeot 2008 vehicle, 2020 model, all maintenance was done at the service. About 2 months before the service period, it gave an oil pressure warning. The vehicle went to the service. It was said that the oil cartridge and trigger belt should be changed. Although the vehicle is 43000 and all maintenance is at the authorized service, the result is annoying. In addition, the vehicle will stay for 1 week for the material to arrive and be made. In the meantime, I was left without a vehicle and the insurance does not come into play. I want Peugeot to accept this mistake and eliminate my victimization and loss of rights. But they didn't even return. It is not interested and does not stand behind its product.

Do not buy a Peugeot

I had 3 cars in a row from Peugeot and won’t have another one. Last one is a 69 plate 2008. The pure tech engine is fitted with a wet belt instead of the standard timing belt.It is inside the engine sitting in the oil. It is made of rubber so perishes over time and clogs up the oil filters. It is rated at 60000 miles. My car had less than 400000 miles on it when mine failed and had to be replaced. £1500 repair bill. Contacted Peugeot customer support and they weren’t interested. Design or manufacturing defect but out of warranty so they don’t care. Will never again own a Peugeot.

STELLANTIS POISSY COMPLAINTS

Today I received in UK, my new PEUGEOT from STELLANTIS Poissy. To my disappointment the car arrived with no car mats
As it didn't have any car mats the floor is completely dirty (with mud) from the people that have driven the car so far, so I have to pay also, in order to clean from day one.
In UK there are no left hand drive car mats so I am unable to buy, even if I wanted to do so.
I could'nt even imagine and expect that a supposed "big company" would turn out to be so untrustworthy, unprofessional and disrespectful towards a client, insisting on not sending a product (few euros cost) in order to keep a client happy, insisting that this is my fault.
I couldn't possibly have put them in the configuration and pay for them, as there is no such option in PEUGEOT Fr web page.
Completely frustated and disappointed with this company

Shame on you Peugeot Birmingham north

Shame on you Peugeot Birmingham north , bought a £23000 2008 car 7 days ago there was 7 days tax on the car but the v5 has been lost ( did not know this the day I picked it up they said the v5 will arrive in a couple of days ) so now the original tax has ran out I cannot tax it without the v5 which is going to take around 8 to 10 days to arrive as they have to apply by post , yes they have offered me a courtesy car which they are going to deliver , I have had to constantly chase this company to get to the bottom of things and found it very frustrating , all the paper work should have been available the day I picked my new car up 😡 worst experience I have had and I’ve had a few cars in the past 😡

Unprofessional and incompetent service

My husband bought 2 used approved cars from Peugeot within a space of less that 8 months and both of them had numerous faults. The second on had engine fault after a couple of months and could not be started.
Since we needed a car for commuting, we opted for another car with them but this time bought a Mercedes.
He was assured that the car was serviced and would have MOT in a couple of months time. They didn’t service the car and only found out a few days later when asking Mercedes for a Service plan, that MOT was expired as wasn’t showing on the government site.
Peugeot now not owning the problem. They are evasive and pushing and pressuring him to take out a Service plan with them.
Just need them to service the car then bid them good bye.

Very incompetent and unprofessional service. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone

Really good and solid cars for…

Really good and solid cars for everything like your usual work home drives and that's really it. Thanks in advance for giving opportunity to give some feedback about this company, they still do sell much lower than japan and german cars anyway.
