Terrible customer service

When I originally bought my fish tank that came with accessories, it was great and came quickly, however the heater that came with it stopped working properly. I emailed petmonkey about my problem and how important it was that I had a heater that worked properly for my fish and 3 emails later they began to ignore me and after 3 weeks STILL no solution had been made. They clearly didn’t want to help me and didn’t care and now I have to spend more money on a heater that should’ve been replaced by them. Although the main products was good the customer service is terrible and I wouldn’t recommend

This pet store has made my life as a pet owner so much easier. Their budget-friendly prices and swift delivery service mean I can provide for my furry companions without breaking the bank or having to wait too long for the supplies to arrive.

Tank was delivered next day as…

Tank was delivered next day as promised, but the filter was damaged and after 48hrs after filling it up with water it had a small leak in the bottom left hand corner.

Emailed the company directly and heard nothing back. So I ended up contacting my bank and did a reverse charge and low behold the company emailed me back demanding that I rereleased the money back to them. I don’t think so.

I’ve Emailed them again letting them know that the tank was packed up and if they wanted to arrange a delivery for collection then they could. Going to give it unti Thursday 9th of March 2023 and if I’ve still not heard anything back from them then I will put it out for the bin men.

Avoid!

Ordered via eBay. Requested to cancel order before dispatch. Was told this would happen and refund would be given. Order did not arrive but no refund given. Any requests for information were ignored. Have had to file claim via PayPal to get money back. Do not waste your time or money with this company. Terrible.

Excellent price, excellent service

I have ordered dog food twice now from petmonkey and not only is the price very competitive and cheaper than most other online stores, the service is second to none. I prepared Christmas but forgot about the dog food! I ordered in the morning and it arrived Christmas Eve the following morning. One very happy customer.

Beware - happy to send out damaged / opened stock as “new”

So my Amazon subscribe order was unable to be fulfilled by Amazon, so I found petmonkey we’re selling the same food on Amazon & ordered it on Thursday night & paid extra for express delivery, for it to be delivered on the Monday.
On Sunday, the delivery showed as arriving by 20:00 on Monday.
On Monday that had not changed. I came home at lunchtime to check if it had been delivered, but no - but the delivery was still showing as “by 20:00 on Monday”, so no issues there.
At 18:00 I got home, but no delivery & when I went out again at 19:00, still no delivery, but still showing as “by 20:00 on Monday”, so I had no reason to doubt it.
It is now 21:15 & the delivery is now showing as due between Tuesday & Thursday …

While Pet Monkey may not be responsible for the actual delivery, the couriers are chosen by them & paid by them, so as a customer, I see the delivery as an extension of the company; & informing me after the promised delivery deadline, not in a reasonable timescale, that the express delivery that I paid extra for would not actually be delivered 4 days later as promised, is not acceptable.

Not only did I pay extra for the delivery to be here today, but I also paid about 30% more for the dog food from pet monkey, than from Amazon …
Needless to say, I am publicly rating the service as 1 star here & on Amazon, but I will also not be using Pet Monkey again.

Update …
To add to the above, this morning I received a message from the courier to say that it will be delivered today.
When this courier delivers items, customers receive a text on the day to let them know & to give delivery options.
The absence of any such text yesterday further makes me believe that the delivery was never going to be yesterday, despite paying extra for it.

Update 2 ….
Package received. Outer packaging fine, but the actual product inside was damaged & opened & had been attempted to be repaired by the vendor … not what was expected. If you bought a food product for full price from a supermarket & got home to find it had been damaged & opened & repaired, would you be ok with that?
Spoken to the manufacturer who advise that once opened, depending on how long it had been opened, the palatability & nutritional composition may be compromised.
There is also the potential of rodent damage - non of which I want to subject my pets to.
Made Petmonkey aware & provided pictures & asked for a replacement. Perfectly happy for them to take the unopened bag back.
Petmonkey simply advise that the food would not be affected, without even seeing the product … a very different, polar opposite view from that of the actual manufacturer!!
As the product quality couldn’t be ascertained from a picture, my conclusion is that Petmonkey would rather not lose damaged stock from their inventory & instead pass it off to a customer, basically saying “it’s your problem now”.

1 star review remains unchanged, as does my opinion of using this company again.

I would have choice 5 stars

I would have choice 5 stars, as I love the Qubiq 60 fish tank. However I have now lost one large shrimp and my precious beautiful £25 Siamese fighter the glass top that is meant to be there to prevent fish from jumping the gap obviously does not prevent this I am so upset I do love the tank but I’m very upset

Having purchased a Fish Tank for my son…

Having purchased a Fish Tank for my son for Xmas and a few days after it being set up it began to leak underneath and a large crack appeared within the glass, we sadly lost 5 shrimp due to this .( the full stock of fish would have been due to go in there the following day pending the tank stabilising.
Contacted Pet Monkey 2 weeks ago and all we get told is we have sent photo to manufacturer, despite them being the supplier and it coming with a 2 year warranty we are no further forward with this.
Please can I ask why the old one is not being collected and a new one sent out?
Emails ignored and not even a contact number to speak with anyone.
I am now forced to go through a charge back with my bank for a faulty on line purchase.
I have many years of experience with marine and cold water set ups and never experienced such poor workmenship and customer service..
I will be relaying this to the Facebook forums in which I am assigned too.
