We visited this store two weekends running .James was so knowledgeable, and friendly .He spent alot of time with us making sure we were happy with our purchase .
You couldn't fault him at all .
We came away with a G Plan sofa and chair :)

Hopefully the delivery and after sales service will meet our expectations too.

Appalling after sales service if you have a problem. DO NOT PAY UP FRONT! It is now 5 weeks since my carpet was fitted and I am still waiting for a door bar to be fitted at one door, and edging around a door mat in hallway. Several calls and emails later, we have had a visit to ensure the correct materials are ordered, but still no further contact initiated by Peter Greens. Chased again this morning. So time consuming and disappointing. In addition wardrobes were delivered without the promised gliders. Everyone makes mistakes, but it’s how you rectify them that shows the true quality of a company. Well, Peter Greens you will not get my business again. I see I am not alone in this experience and the majority of the positive reviews of this company are in fact commenting on the sales experience, not the delivery/fitting experience. From others, I doubt any better response from Peter Greens as a result of this review, but just wish to warn others. I will update this if the job gets finished!
Update: Finally, 9 weeks after carpet was initially fitted the door bars requested were fitted. Even then, wrong colour fitted initially and had to be changed, despite all the emails confirming requirements. And the bars around a recessed doormat I was told by their senior fitter, could not be wooden as it would not match, and gold would look much better and was ordered and confirmed via email. Yet on the day, wood was fitted. I couldn’t be bothered to argue any more. Unbelievable. But at least the job was finally finished.

Excellent experience, staff especially Robert couldn’t have been more helpful. Very pleasant surroundings, cafe is excellent with complementary coffee. Made our purchase, excellent price and delivered at the time requested. Can’t fault them, our third time of making major purchases snd would definitely recommend.

Recently visited the store looking for a TV cabinet. Visited a couple of times as wanted to view other stores to compare as I wasn't entirely sure what style I wanted. Claire was very helpful and genuinely lovely not pushy allowed us time and answered the questions we had. We returned the following weekend and ended up making our purchase and also spoke with Nigel about mattresses. Again very helpful and allowed us time to view and try and provided useful advice on the different mattresses, We ended up buying a mattress as well. We will definetly return for future purchases.

I selected Peter Green to fit woodpecker flooring in the kitchen on the basis they were the approved supplier and fitter for this product. Peter Green’s surveyor surveyed the kitchen and specified the materials and procedure required to carry out the job to the manufacturers specifications. Flooring tiles cut and laid well. However, door threshold and scotia beading fitted to a very poor standard and smoothing compound applied incorrectly leading to a slope in the floor well in excess of the woodpecker floor tile specification. This was where an American fridge freezer was to be located and would have caused a deviation of 30mm from the vertical over its height. The original floor was level, as evidenced by spirit level measurements under a kitchen cabinet immediately adjacent to this location. Informed Peter Green of the issues. Their surveyor was sent who confirmed the work was substandard and remedial work was required. Despite this, had to make repeated visits and phone calls to push them to carry out the remedial work. Met with one excuse after another from the middle manager. Had to escalate the issue to the general manager before the work was completed after 3 months. This was extremely inconvenient especially as it was over the Christmas period and the very large American fridge freezer had to remain in the living room for 3 months rather than the two days it should have taken.
The final result is good, thanks to Ian who did the remedial work. But the after sales service and the delay in resolving the issues is well below standard and is an area for improvement. If you want any problems to be resolved quickly and painlessly without being met with quibbles I would recommend you look to a different company.

Stuart was brilliant. He really listened to what we were looking for and led us to the perfect furniture for us. Not pushy, just the most helpful sales assistant we have ever encountered. We purchased wonderful dining furniture and, hopefully, a suite too! Absolute pleasure to have been helped by Stuart and that makes us definitely want to go back to Peter Green. Thank you so much for all your help and patience, Stuart.

Purchased 2 lovely reclining chairs only to find that as they had been in in the warehouse for a while the battery packs had failed. Went into the store on Saturday morning and the lovely Joyce in after sales contacted us on the Monday. We worked together to source replacement batteries which they ordered for us and now means we can now enjoy our chairs. Thanks for the support. Things in life don't always go as you hope but the service you then receive really shows a companies ability to provide customer service. Would happily purchase from them again and recommend them to friends and family.

We returned to Peter Green as we had received excellent service in the past. Nothing has changed. Sales consultant James was friendly and more than helpful. He was knowledgeable and certainly assisted us to make the best decisions regarding our purchase. Nothing was too much trouble. We are pleased to support a quality independent local retailer.

We visited Peter Green recently looking for tile topped coffee tables to match one we had already. We had a very positive experience and were helped by James. We were not pestered while in the shop but James was on hand to answer any questions we had. We ordered
two coffee tables, one made to special order, and they arrived on time and we are very pleased with them. They are very good quality. We would certainly visit again as they have such a good and large range of furniture. Another bonus point, they are dog friendly, even the cafe which is unusual. Since our visit we have learned that when we visited the store James was a relatively new employee who had not been there long but that was not evident. He was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Came in to the shop hoping to be walking out with a new carpet in order for our front room
And hallway. Only to come out very disappointed, if you want a carpet then I would not use Peter green. It’s seems member of staff have no customer service skills at all and are very abrupt. We delt with a staff member called Simon who I would not recommend as his customer service skills could be or should I say lack off is not who I wold like to buy a carpet from not sure if he really knows the products he is selling either seems like they are just in it to make as much money as possible. All i can say is try somewhere better then Peter green

We have visited Peter Green a couple of times, they have a great quality range of furnishings. We were impressed by their knowledge and customer service, available but not pushy. On or last visit we purchased some Stressless furniture, great pricing and a easy transaction. Furniture arrived earlier than predicted, which was great. Delivery drivers very polite, laid covers on the floor before entering and then constructed the furniture. Great Service, would thoroughly recommend.

We were thrilled to find exactly what we wanted at Peter Green at a fraction of the cost we had seen elsewhere. We were also served by Wendy who was absolutely wonderful and so were everyone else. From the warehouse team who phone to arrange delivery to the delivery men who unpack and take away the rubbish, they were all exceptional.
Would absolutely recommend Peter Green.

With so many suppliers, styles, sizes, materials and colour etc, choosing the right sofa, chairs and accessories is always a challenge. We have been customers of Peter Green for many years and they have never let us down. Of special mention among the staff is Wendy who expertly and without pressure recently guided us through suitable choices. Our order has been placed and, with the support of Lorraine and the team, we are looking forward to receiving our new furniture at the end of the year.

I wrote a critical review on 18th June 2022. Peter green responded on the 20th June, saying they would contact me. Surprise, surprise, I have not heard from them!

Thank you so much to Wendy and the team. They provided excellent support throughout the whole process. The delivery men were excellent and even moved some furniture for us.

Our son decided that he needed a new mattress so we visited Peter Green in Chandlers Ford and were introduced to Wendy who, very thoroughly and non coercively, talked him through what was available and his options which led to a successful purchase and happy 19 year old.
A few weeks later my wife decided that we too were in the market for a new mattress so a return visit to the wonderful Wendy occurred.
Once again Wendy gave us the benefit of her time and experience - no question was too silly and no enquiry was too much for her.
Our bed is currently on order and we can’t wait!
Wendy is a credit to Peter Green and will always be recommended by us to family and friends who need a better nights sleep
