Fraudulent Charges and Terrible Customer Service – Avoid PDFsail at All Costs
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with PDFsail. On July 13, 2025, my bank card was charged $49.90 for a subscription I never signed up for. I had used the platform once to download a document through what was advertised as a "Free Service", and entered my card details only for that single use.
Immediately after noticing the unauthorized charge, I contacted their support team with a clear and polite request for cancellation and a refund. I followed up multiple times (July 17, July 19, and beyond), and after much back-and-forth—including providing my account ID and screenshots—they finally claimed the subscription was cancelled and the refund had been processed.
That was weeks ago.
To this day, I have not received any refund. Every time I reach out, I get vague responses or instructions to "be patient," with threats that initiating a chargeback will delay the refund up to 150 days. They also told me not to worry about what my account still shows because they "cancelled it in the backend"—which is both sketchy and unacceptable.
After nearly three weeks of unanswered pleas, and no refund, I am left with no choice but to report this as fraud and warn others about this company. PDFsail's practice of charging users without consent and their deliberate delay tactics are unethical. If you’re considering using their service, think twice.
I strongly advise everyone to avoid PDFsail.
Update (after receiving refund):
I have now received my refund from PDFsail. The process was stressful and uncertain that I ended up blocking my bank card and requesting a new one for security reasons. My original review reflects what I went through (I have changed my rating from 1 to 2 stars since the refund was eventually processed), and I hope the company improves its practices (particularly the transparency and their customer care services).

This company is a scam. Cancelling your subscription is a nightmare. It's impossible to cancel yourself. You have to contact them via email only. They take 3-5 days to respond and they do not help you all while taking your money. DONT TRUST THIS COMPANY. I had to cancel my credit card to resolve my issue.

You have to give 1 star to report. This mob is a scam - tried their "free" trial and got billed 168US. Bank not paying. NOWHERE did i get an acknowlegement or order reference . Our credit cards cancelled and dispute lodged with CBA. They are dishonest to say the least. Scam territory!
Subsequently on 27 May 2025 after I complained to PDF Sail, and my bank, I receieved a response and somewhat of an apology from company and a confirmation of my "account cancellation " . On 28 May I received notification from bank that a refund was being credited. I still have doubts regarding their website so be careful!
I am upgrading them to two stars as at least they responded!

I wish I could give a negative. Paid $1.99 US to get the ‘free subscription’ then was charged $199.00 US a week later. Disputed through PayPal twice both times PayPal sided with them. No where on their website for weekly, monthly or yearly subscription does it cost $199.00 US.
