I had a good experience here when I went to buy some new earphones. I was given good service by all of the staff who were really friendly in particular Salim who went out of his way to double check the stock. The only thing I would say is that the ques are always so long!!!!

Told order was ready but it wasn't!

I ordered a TV for collection from my local store. Got an email saying it was ready for collection. Went to the store with all the correct details. Man on the collection desk barely lifted his head, took my printout and went into a backroom. Came out several minutes later and then disappeared into the store, not a word said. Then after standing like a lemon for another 10 minutes a different guy turned up with my TV, didn't ask for 🆔 just took my word for it but it did take it to my car, so credit for that. I expect that if they say it's ready that it is ready, not having to wonder off into the store to find a unit. Simply rubbish service and I wish I had paid less at Amazon and free next day delivery!

There was cashback offer but I didn't realise I can claim just in 45-60 days. I spent more then £1000
And now I lost £150 cashback.
I sent email asking is there any chance to apply later but they refused to help.
Very greedy company.

TRAIN YOUR STAFF!

I was sold a Lenovo laptop charger by Luke from the Macclesfield branch and was told that I could return it if all items were in the box and it was inside 28 days.

I went to return it today and the staff member (not Luke), said they can’t accept the return due to the box being opened.

Which is it?!? Please ensure you train your staff members to give the same message, I am now out of pocket and will not be buying from PC World/ Curry’s again.

Appalling customer service

Appalling customer service. Still have a washing machine that has not been fixed 4 months on. 2 engineers and still pc world will not replace the product as the engineer's can not find the fault. I have spent hours on the phone and got nowhere. Passed from one person to the next. No one has any interest in helping. I will never buy anything from them again.

0 stars I would add if it there would be an option.
Bought a washing machine and it broke within the 2 weeks period. It's now taking me nearly 2 weeks to get an exchange for a new one. This ridiculous people that work there have no idea what they are doing. Cannot even contact customer back to give any update on what the next steps are I have spent more time on the phone to them to try get an exchange than the initial buying process including delivery.

4th washer dryer from this company…

4th washer dryer from this company yesterday after not having the dryer working for a month engineer comes out and supposedly fixes it. But within 10 mins the dryer is not working again so ring up today and say we want a replacement they say we can't have one. Instead they are going to send another engineer out. So that's another week without a dryer. They are a absolute waste of time and don't care about customers

WARNING do not shop here

WARNING do not shop here. If you do not know about PC parts, they will take advantage of you.
They are not an IT company. They make their money from selling items on credit, and upselling things you don't need. Do yourself a favour and visit a local independent store who will do a much better job of looking out for your interests.

An experience I had from my most recent visit:

The staff (Operator: 84 Abhimanyu Receipt: 099623) purposefully wasted time at the checkout because he didn't want to price match.

He then tried to lie about whether or not he could price match one of the times for a particular website. I saw him ask a colleague who advised he could.
He then returned and tried to tell me he couldn't but he'd give me the product cover at no extra cost. I didn't want this and told him I had seen his conversation and I wanted the discount. He then flicked backwards and forwards wasting more time before eventually adding the discount.

I witness disgusting tactics like this every time I've been in PC World. I dread to think how much unethical activity takes place against those who are more vulnerable or less knowledgeable on IT equipment than myself. Shame on you.

Pay peanuts, get monkeys

Dear Lord, what a load of unhelpful, useless wallies!
Bought a TV online and was told that it had to be delivered to store (only 32” which they describe as small). Took all the money and said I would receive an email with a tracking number as soon as it was dispatched and an email to collect when received by the store. Eventually I tried phoning as no email - useless idiot on the other end of the line. Tried the online chat and actually spoke with someone who was there for more reason than just picking up his pay cheque but actually believed in providing a service. He checked my order status and told me my order was at the store already. He emailed the store whilst I was on the line telling them to email me when the order was ready for collection. 3 hours later (18:00hrs) no email. Perhaps they were playing an extremely important game of cards in the delivery dock - maybe with the money I’d already paid? Still don’t have my telly, they’ve still got my money. HOW THE HELL DO THEY STAY IN BUSINESS IN THIS COMPETITIVE WORLD?

Their 24/7 technical support yearly Agreement

Their 24/7 technical support yearly agreement only works on the odd occasions the call is handled in the UK. When it is outsourced to South Africa, as is their policy of late, the person on one occasion googled the issue and did not resolve it. On two other occasions they made excuses saying it is the BT router or trying to find every other excuse eg you have not used the computer for a while or need to update the software which was not the case. When I verified the router issue, with BT running professional checks that it was not a router issue. Then when I insisted on the third call I be directed to remote assistance I actually got through to someone in the UK who fixed the issue in five minutes. They NEED to stop this outsourcing which has resulted in a massive drop of standards whereby the service is not professional anymore. I have on occasions been left on the phone for three hours when they cannot find anyone to fix my issue after they cannot do more than I would on a Google search. The UK Technical support is great but lucky if you get through now since they have outsourced.

I never had anything small delivered from Carrys before I was going to go down and pick up as a click and collect but because I know it made more sense to get the item delivered to my door DPD was fantastic no issues at all on time well be getting things delivered from Carrys in near future

Curry's and DPD bad bedfellows and partners in crime

Ordered monitor on Saturday 3rd Dec and paid for over night delivery as needed item urgently for my business.
Never arrived, was texted by DPD that there was a 24 hour delay, this has now been there excuse for the past 5 days with still no sign of my product.

Each day I contact Curry's customer service only for them to say that it is due for delivery the following day, but again for DPD (their chosen courier) to inform me on the day that it is delayed for 24 hours..

Curry's has given me my postage back (wow generous) but has offered no alternative compensation or option to collect the item from store and for DPD to return the posted goods to them.

Both are sad excuses of large companies who cash in on Black Friday (which I do not participate in) and Christmas, but then cannot then deliver the goods, or be bothered to sort the chaos their greed has created

DPD has actually now stopped sending delivery notifications out and instead just send the delayed message out in the afternoon, and when you speak to curry's they just back-up their courier and says it will be with tomorrow (with fingers crossed behind their backs)

Customer Care Delivery Needs Developing

There's a main theme in the comments about level of customer care; I'd agree for most and have had some good experiences at PC World (when things are bought and do what they're supposed to do i.e. work) but yesterday, looking for support on a Fitbit bought in Feb '22 was that no longer works correctly was dubious. This at the Chippenham store. Admittedly, the young lad gave information but delivery of the information was sadly lacking any 'customer care'- I think it was a combination of lack of training and experience when dealing with people. The up side was that Fitbit support team were absolutely fantastic!

STAY AWAY FROM JASON AND HIS MANAGER AT…

STAY AWAY FROM JASON AND HIS MANAGER AT PC WORLD IN OLD KENT ROAD
What these people do is tantamount to defrauding customers.
I bought a computer and a laptop at PC World in Old Kent Road totalling almost £2000.00 and it has been a horrific experience of dealing with two uncaring and incompetent people that has resulted in unimaginable and emotional distress that should not be visited on any customer.
To begin with the laptop was never shipped. After six weeks of placing the order and three visits to PC World, the computer was finally delivered. Only that it was faulty and we had to return it.
I have been to PC World on Old Kent Road nine times trying to get a refund.
Let me alert you to how things work.
Now PC world deals with suppliers and apparently unless the supplier issues the refund you will not get your refund even though PC world is the person you gave your money to.
We were told that we were in the queue for a refund for the laptop and after returning the computer to the store, when we checked two weeks later it was still there. Jason told us that DELL had not collected it as yet.
This is November 11/2022, exactly three months since we walked into the store and swiped our cards and we do not have our merchandise and we are no closer to getting our money back. In the meantime the interest on interest on the credit card is building up.
Jason and the manager of that store needs to be fired. This is not acceptable on any level.
Please pay more attention to reviews and understand that not all reviews are malicious or people suffering form Buyers Remorse.
They have acknowledged the merchandise was never shipped, we just cannot get our money back.
They have acknowledged the computer was faulty and they have the computer in their possession but we just cannot get our money back.
STAY AWAY FROM OLD KENT ROAD PC WORLD.
In all the nine times i have bene there , there was someone at the counter in distress.
The greatest insult is the lack of accountability with Jason and the management in PC Word Old Kent Road.
I will keep posting until I get my refund.

Basil Fawlty reincarnated into electrical retail customer experience.

Whilst I may sadly be showing my age, Curry's/PC World in Norwich offers a fantastically nostalgic opportunity to relive one of Britain's greatest comedy series.
I have never before been in a shop where the assistant was rude about customers, colleagues and their assistance manager all in less than ten minutes (in their defence they had the good sense to keep their comments about their manager to themselves, us as customers and their colleagues, one would not want to bite the hand that feeds directly). If this is the service before I had put my card in the reader, I had no faith in any standard of after sales care. Admittedly there was a lack of xenophobia and silly walks, but most other ingredients were present.

As a result we made our excuses and left the store like a herd of wildebeest sweeping majestically across the plains.
Whist the above is a little tongue in cheek, there is a serious point. As an update to the above, I made a complaint to the Curry’s customer care line asking that the store manager contact me as I was particularly concern about the blatant bullying of a junior member of staff. After several weeks I have heard nothing. That says it all to me.
