Warning
Warning! This Company has taken money for a cooker and extra to be delivered yesterday, after three phone calls second one hung up they dropped the line I was eventually told the product won’t come in for another ten days and will be later as it needs checking first, refund time is 3-5 days so now have no cooker as the money is now tied up and I guess if I’m lucky I won’t have a cooker for another week now, customer service can’t even part with an alternative model to resolve this even after I’ve offered to pay extra for an alternative that’s in stock, will now lose wages for whichever days I wait in and they’ll probably decide not to show up again with no warning judging from past experience, avoid this company I wish I had now, this seems common practice for them, if I could give zero I certainly would

My 3rd Update. Zero Customer Service or reply.
I wish I could comment on their online and telephone support, however I couldn’t even get through to either. Website; DOWN. Telephone Helpline; GAVE UP AFTER 30 mins.
Here’s the boring bit... I bought 1 Printer online for my home-schooling nephew. They deliver me 2 Printers and charge for 2. Can I get hold of them to resolve? NO.
They try and force you to do everything online or via messenger (both don’t work). I tried using their useless video presence system. The online agent was out of view, chatting to colleagues and other random customers whilst I had his partial attention. Very rude and abrupt. Zero help.
The giants like Amazon and AO.COM have vastly superior customer service and aftercare. Looking at other reviews, I’ve never seen a company with such a bad rating.
* Now 2nd comment after day 3....
I had a standard generic reply from Ryan at PC World who gave me a cut and paste response (ie Just go away and try again to get through). I feel sorry for their staff as I expect their management are Teflon shouldered useless types. I was advised to contact them again, even after explaining I can’t establish contact with them in the first place - that’s the whole point.
I manage a large multinational customer service contact centre. All our agents are fully equipped to work off-site and our global customers have had no service interruptions because we were always prepared for things like Covid.
If I had seem such feedback from a customer, I would first pull out all the stops, PROACTIVELY (not, the customer must call us back, whilst we hide hide from the issue) to resolve and I would follow it to a resolution.
*** Now day 5. Nothing heard, despite being to told an agent’s looking at my very BASIC issue. ie my item was delivered twice and they charged me twice. Jeeze guys, who is running that place? Is there really not an operations manager who actually takes ownership of trouble tickets and runs the remedial process? Do they even care?
Please don’t blame COVID. I manage a customer support team globally which takes several thousand support calls per day. We’re able to have all our staff remotely working with Zero interruptions to our valued customers because that’s what we strive for, not a load of waffle. And you are an IT delivery Company?

IMPOSSIBLE to buy from website
Despite the fact that I gave them a 1 out of 5. They do have good products/items in store to purchase. However, it seems almost impossible to buy anything from their website since it's always having technical issues!!!!
Their website service is SOO bad!!
Am VERY dissappointed!

They don,t get any better
Following on from my review of the 3rd February 2021, we are still waiting for a refund, after the laptop was returned on the 1st February 2021, after eventually speaking to someone at Newark PC world, they said we would get a refund in 3-5 days. Not so! Tried again to speak to someone there, and got- wrong place, what do you want, nothing to do with us, and put phone down. Tried Chat, some one who doesn,t understand English kept saying I dont understand that. I have never had dealings with such a lot of uncaring, clueless and ignorant people. Anyone heard of Amazon, Currys should !

Appalling service pc world not taking blame passing the buck
I had bought a tv and for pc world to fit the tv on my wall, which they damaged the wall leaving me with 8 holes on my wall. I have contacted the customer services team at Currys PC World with my complaint, but have not yet received any form of response.
Therefore I am following up my original letter in the hope that we can achieve a resolution. As I am sure you understand, the situation as it stands is very frustrating and I would be really grateful if we could move forwards towards a solution.
What happened: We had our TV delivered on 06/11/2020 and the installation happened on the same day as the engineer(Nick) had rang me and asked me to inform him once the tv arrived to let him know and he would come and install it. The Engineer(nick) arrived at around 5pm on that friday. The engineer had used drill pieces which were too big to put the wall mount on he never used the right wall plugs and i had to help him do this as he asked me to lend a hand. Nick had informed me that he would come back and fill the holes but that never even happened. Now we are left with holes in our wall and we are going to have to get the walls plastered again and paint the whole room which is going to leave use out of pocket.
To resolve this: Full refund for the damage and the engineer cost wall mount and subwoofer mount. I also would like to be compensated for the damage and to fix the issue, as the walls will need to be repainted in the whole room not just the wall which were damaged. We would like a compensation amount to be provided as we are really angry and fustrated with the issues.

Confirmed order mysteriously cancelled
Ordered a Macbook online, received an order number and had card payment accepted only to find out 5 days later they had cancelled the order. We received no email and they couldnt tell me why the order was cancelled. There was no apology, they wouldnt re-order for me and wouldn't authorise a free next day delivery to compensate. I therefore went elsewhere - John Lewis on line, same price and extended 2 year warranty. Never again PCWorld.

Avoid. Avoid. Avoid
Where to begin? I wanted a lovely high powered laptop and didn't have the money to outright purchase one, so I thought I'd use their payment plan to get the computer I've always desired. All good until after a year or so of use then it suddenly wouldn't boot. I hadn't damaged the unit in anyway. I had it covered by Team Knowhow (hilarious name for people that have no idea) and got it 'repaired'. The clueless person at the repair desk could give no reason why it had been 'fitted with a faulty OS and corrupt hard drive. Took it home none the wiser. Used it for another year and then bang on cue it will not boot up again!! Hmmm. So when lockdown lifts and I take it back to be 'fixed' again will they give me the same nonsense about faulty parts? I am sick to the back teeth and my patience is at an end. I will never buy from this company ever again as long as I live.

AVOID!!!
Very poor service still waiting for a refund and item that need to be sent back to me will need to contact the financial ombudsman about their practices and encourage anyone else who is being fobbed off to do the same as well as a chargeback from your card provider if you have not received refunds in the stated timeframe

ASUS A15 TUF On Your Wallet
My daughter quite recently purchased a gaming laptop and optical gaming mouse as a birthday gift for her brother.
After the item arrived, we discovered that same laptop had been reduced by £100 before the end of December 2020 on their website, but not so when purchased via eBay.
To marinade the wound, the very same item was reduced by a further £30 the following week.
In addition, the original order did not arrive on time, despite the additional payment for next day delivery option.
For the difference in price, the same item could have been ordered with upgraded SSD, RAM, or Graphics Card, or MS Office Key...

received broken laptop
I paid for next day delivery of a laptop only to receive it broken in three places. The screen was smashed and there was a dent in the and at the back. Trying to get this resolved was a nightmare, the virtual assistant kept sending me to irrelevant pages, it was only when I typed in the word 'complaint' that I got a phone number to call. I was on hold for 35 minutes before getting to speak to anyone. I am now having to wait for a refund so they can check over the laptop before I get my money back. I think this is poor service. I am a teacher trying to do online lessons, having had to spend my own money on a new laptop as the device I have keeps crashing when I am trying to teach. This whole experience has been so stressful and I am now having to wait for my money before I can get another laptop. This is not only having an impact on me but the students I teach. This is poor, bad service. I cannot understand how a laptop can reach me in such bad condition, I get in touch immediately and I am having to wait so long for my money when it was only in my possession for a matter of minutes. Do not think that this high street name means you are going to get good service. You wont.

Poor service
Poor service. Buyer’s beware, they take your money very quickly but take their time to return it. Ordered online and they were struggling to give me a delivery date after a few days! Cancelled it but still waiting for my money back, so I contact them only to find out they can’t process the refund until the item has been scanned back into the system.
Never even left them and still haven’t scanned it 8 days on!!!

Disappointing
I ordered a laptop that was supposedly in stock. Received a receipt and date of collection. A week later, I received no further information on the collection and contacted them myself. Turned out that the laptop I ordered was out of stock yet it still said it's available on the website. The staff didn't even bother letting me know about the item was out of stock until I took the initiative to contact them. Asked for a refund, they told me to wait for 48 hours as the item might be In stock. 48 hours later, they finally requested my refund but it'll take 7-14 days till I get my money back. Wasted a lot of time with this company. Very disappointed.
