PCGamerClickBait

PCGamer focuses on clickbait and doesn't focus on genuine gaming news.

I am glad that I am still reading Gaming news elsewhere.

Utter trash

Utter rubbish, their website is an utter mess, their articles are written by the woke mind virus, and rather then reporting on the game industry they are merely marketing puppets for them

PC Gamer feels completely out of touch…

PC Gamer feels completely out of touch with the actual gaming community. Instead of reflecting genuine user sentiment, they push contrarian takes just for the sake of being “different.” Reviews read more like clickbait opinion pieces than grounded analysis, and it often feels like emotion is driving the score rather than the quality of the game. Female writers like Molly in particular lean into over-the-top, sensationalized takes that don’t match reality. On top of that, any critical comments questioning their motives get deleted, which makes the whole site feel disingenuous. Not the PC Gamer I grew up with - very disappointing.

Tone deaf

They're so out of touch with the gaming community as a whole, most of their reviews are just click bait and written by people who don't understand the games they're tasked with playing.

Absolute slop reviews

Absolute slop reviews, clearly bought with Californian political agenda behind every insufferable word they write. They're so out of touch against User reviews that it can only be described as a hatred of the very medium that they cover.

Paid reviews

Their reviews are always in constrast to the user reviews. They are giving excelent score to terrible games because the companies are paying for them.

"AcitvistGamer"

The entire company should just rebrand as “ActivistGamer.” From sensationalized clickbait to meticulously crafted race-baiting, the writers here are the leftover dregs from the Wall Street Journal-less journalists, more professional outrage artists. You’d be hard-pressed to tell the difference between a PCGamer protest junkie and an IGN placard parade; both seem more interested in stirring up controversy than reporting actual gaming news.

It’s reached a point where PCGamer’s senior editor Wes Fenlon all but accuses you of not caring about “women’s rights” if you buy the deluxe version of Oblivion Remastered. The level of gaslighting and emotional manipulation on display from today’s gaming news outlets is staggering. Respect yourself-don’t let these internet mind-predators mentally fondle you. Choose a news source that sees you as a human being, not just another click or a walking wallet.

The magazine we once knew is not the magazine we have now.

As a very long time paid supporter and promoter of PCGamer I find myself here and sadly agreeing with the other 1 star reviews. Their content has been growing in bias to the extent some articles are not even gaming related. I am seriously considering canceling my subscription and never visiting the website again if my concerns are ignored. The traditional unbiased PC gaming content is slowly be infiltrated by people like Andy Chalk who is obsessed with hating Elon. His articles generally have nothing to do with PC gaming. The article yesterday by Joshua Wolens "Twitter is dead, X is a cesspit, let's make 2025 the year of the message board" openly attacks people who disagrees with his "opinions" by calling them the typical names we have all become to familiar with. It's gotten so bad comment replies must be approved before the are posted or they turn off comments all together because they know the articles will receive negative feedback and they don't want to hear readers who disagree. They need to get back to what worked. Writing honest uncontroversial content focused on PC gaming/hardware and if necessary remove the writers who want to spout there social agendas on a PC gaming website.

PCgamer sucks.

Everything that comes out of this site is one of a few different things here's my list. Barley researched, out of touch, dishonest or just a strait up smear campaign. Not worth you're attention.

PCGamer out of touch...

PCGamer out of touch...

I used to like their reviews and articles but it seems they have a bunch of new hires recently that just post trash. The whole agenda pushing with assassins creed and other games and presenting opinions as fact is totally unprofessional.

I don't know why Ubisoft need to culturally appropriate Japanese culture but you posting articles supporting it makes you part of the problem. Out of the entirety of Japanese history where they could showcase a vast number of Japanese samurai, they pick the only one who is non-Japanese. I don't care about skin colour. This makes no logical sense. This would be equivalent to picking a European in Assassins creed Origins... It would make no sense. THAT is why people have a problem with it and you trying to make people look bad because they are highlighting this is nothing short of unprofessional. No wonder no one listens to your reviews anymore because all you do is trash on people who dont have the same opinion you do. YOU are the problem.

Ad spamfest

If was possible to give zero stars I would. They have clickbait articles where you dont really know what you reading about. Their review are just utterly bad and sometimes I feel they are payed to hate on certain games. Worst of all is the ad spam on their site. It is impossible to read anything cause ads popping up everywhere. To all of you who are working there..Just quit and go work at McDonald's. With two years of practice you might be good enough to flip burgers.
