DO NOT USE PB Software!!!!!

I bought software for my PC from PB Software, and here's my story.

First of all, when I was ordering the software, for payment their site takes you to RBS Worldpay web site (what a shambles they are too), where there I payed for my order, and then via email was informed that I had ordered the same item 3 times! and yes, the amount also came out of my account 3 times! That was RBS fault, but they said that I had to deal with PB Software to sort out the problem. (might I add that RBS were extremely unhelpful in dealing with this matter)

It took me just over 1 week to even get a response by email from them to acknowledge the fact that this error had happened. (by the way, that thing they have saying that nobody is available due to a high number of calls is a well known advertising ploy, and a lie. Trying to imply to us consumers that, "oh they must be so popular and busy, because look, all their agents are on a call"... what rubbish. Nobody is EVER available).

Anyway, I sent 10 emails before they sorted this mess out, and I have to say that their customer service is absolutely awful, the worst I have ever experienced in any line of work.

Recently, I was trying to resell my software and contacted Adobe to learn of all the legal procedures of tranfering the licence over to the new buyer etc.... during the discussion, it was brought to my attention that I was in fact in pocession of an "Education Version" of my software. Anyone not familiar with that, it is the same software but reduced to about 80 percent of the cost so that students can afford it, and without any of the fancy "in a big box" packaging that the full price version comes in. More annoyingly for me, you CANNOT resell the "Education Version" according to Adobe. So, PB Software had in fact charged me full price for my order, BUT they sent me the Education version, making quite a nice profit off me and not saying a thing. I informed Adobe of this event and I passed on all the company's details, as they said this was illegal to do.

I have since contacted PB Software, and without even a hint of a question, they said, ok send it back and we will refund you. They knew fine well that they done it, they had 'guilty' written all over them.

Now I'm still awaiting my full refund, as they say their bank won't authorise a refund, and can I send my bank details via an unsecure email... No way. They are without a doubt the most incompetent bunch of cowboys I have ever had the misfortune to come deal with. They just buy software cheap from USA and resell it in the UK, incorrectly and illegally at that. If the great "Watchdog" was still broadcasting on BBC1, I would be contacting them immediately to bring this company to shame and close them down.

DO NOT USE PB SOFTWARE...... EVER.... FOR ANY REASON! Cheap is not always good.

Company is a scam

You may or may not get the software you are after.
If you do then it will be an illegal US version which is not licensed for use in the UK.
If you don't then you have to contact your credit card to get the money back.
Who wins?
