Downton Abbey was classy. Paradise villa Eden was not.

The rooms are nice, except for the downstairs third room. The upstairs rooms get the full view, they are lovely, but the downstairs gets the photo mural. The downstairs in a sort of staff area, it seems really an afterthought and looks more like a basement storage room with a bed in it.

The way to the building is extremely tricky when it has rained, also there are dogs in the property which was not disclosed in the listing. The staff in the building is very friendly, however the two German guys operating the reservations and management of the building are just plain rude and not customer service orientated at all. He tried to gaslight us and does not take any ownership and was outright hostile to me when I raised the issues of concern we had.

The beds are solid as a rock and the dogs do start barking throughout the night, especially in the downstairs this is noticeable as they stay there as well. Sadly, also the amenities are very Spartan. There’s only 1 towel per person per room and there’s a massive rule book that you have to adhere to. This to me is all very unfriendly and not something I want to deal with when I paid a a hefty price to stay here. On top of this the owner tried to blackmail us to take this very review down for us to get any of our money back. This kind of behavior is just unacceptable in my book.
