Palladium travel club is an absolute…
Palladium travel club is an absolute scam. They promised multiple free weeks, then changed the terms in which they could be used. Along with monopolizing a full day of our family vacation, they were pushing adult drinks on us during the presentation, as well as making promises of other perks while we were there, which never came to be.
Avoid this hotel group at all costs
My husband and I were guests of TRS Coral last month and we were very excited to enjoy a five star stay, however we did not experience the level of excellence that is expected from a five star hotel.
Upon check in, we discovered half eaten food and other garbage in the mini fridge in our room. The safe was also broken however that was easily fixed so we were looking forward to the rest of the stay being an enjoyable experience. The same day we checked in, the toilet in our room broke after being flushed. The water in the bowl was constantly flowing which created condensation all over the toilet. We asked that it be fixed, however after a staff member reported to the room to fix the toilet, it again broke after being flushed. This resulted in us not having a fully functional toilet in our room until the last day of our stay at which point a staff member had to spend over an hour fixing the toilet properly.
We had come to this resort looking for a romantic getaway and instead were left with awkward encounters involving unflushed toilets. At no point were we offered any recourse regarding this issue, such as moving to a different room.
A number of other issues also occurred during the stay which in light of the toilet issue, we somewhat overlooked but nevertheless contribute to our overall feeling of disappointment regarding our stay at TRS.
The hotel is either chronically understaffed or inefficiently operated as every single eatery within the TRS property had very long wait times despite only half of the dining area being full. For lunch at Helios when we asked if we could sit at one or the dozens of free tables we were told there wasn’t enough waitstaff. For dinner at Gaucho we waited for fifty five minutes to be seated. We then sat for another twenty minutes before our order was taken. That’s an hour and a half of waiting before having ordered any food. When the food finally did come, the steak was inedible.
In terms of the spa, our butler informed us that he could get us an excellent deal of 30% off two massages and encouraged us to book asap which we did. At the pool later that day, a spa rep in a blue shirt advised us that this is not a good deal at all and he could give us two for one on massages. We had already signed the paperwork for the massages with our butler so we felt ripped off. It also undermines the sincerity of the service to your guests.
The actual property itself is one of the most beautiful resorts we have ever seen so we were extremely disappointed when the experience didn’t match the gorgeous setting. For these reasons we would not be inclined to revisit TRS, especially not for a romantic anniversary like we had planned.
UPDATE: TRS have accused me of failing to report the recurring issue with the broken toilet and once I provided evidence by screenshots they have ghosted me. Disgusting customer service. Take your money elsewhere I would never stay at another Palladium property.
As a Travel Club member
As a Travel Club member, I expected a higher standard of service and support. Unfortunately, my experience was the complete opposite.
The problems started immediately with a horrible airport transfer — we waited over an hour with no proper communication or assistance. When I later raised this issue, instead of an apology or resolution, we were unexpectedly subjected to a sales-style seminar on our way out, which felt inappropriate and disrespectful given the circumstances.
During the stay, I had multiple enquiries, yet my assigned butler was unable to assist with any of them. This left us feeling unsupported throughout the stay. My overall impression was that some staff members were only attentive when tips were involved, which is unacceptable for a so-called premium membership.
More concerning is what happened afterward. I raised a formal complaint regarding unprofessional conduct by a Collections Department staff member, which directly prevented me from securing the agreed room category for my reservation and exposed me to a potential additional $430 charge on arrival — a charge I only agreed to if the agreed room category was provided.
Despite multiple follow-ups and escalations, the complaint was never properly addressed, no senior management review was confirmed, and no clear decision on the $430 charge was provided. Responses focused on unrelated administrative points rather than the actual issue raised.
The only positive exception was Yesenia, who was professional, understanding, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, she was the exception rather than the rule.
This experience has left me questioning the value of the Travel Club membership altogether. Poor organisation, lack of accountability, and unresolved complaints are not what members sign up for.
I stayed at the palladium hotel group…
I stayed at the palladium hotel group with my partner.
We had arranged to get married at the resort. Marriage was really lovely but the resort let us down you could tell some of the staff of the resort we're fake even the ones trying to sell us a package deal at the travel club.
Me & my partner at the time before we were married tried an excursion to get away from the package deal that we could see as a scam as the person kept tripping over himself and the drinks kept flowing they face you in the opposite way of the bar, as we tried to leave saying we had wedding plans to sort out,he wanted to join us. So it seems like you had no chance of getting out of it if you stayed.
If anyone gets in this situation have a plan ready for your escape.
If you eat cooked food there check and double check again as every meal time i found raw food which wasn't cooked properly and food that had been pre heated. The beer and other drinks were like they had been watered down.
Worst experience I've had on holiday as I really couldn't enjoy the time there as someone who also came with us fell sick from food poisoning so spent most of our time looking after them especially a whole day at the hospital. Would i go back no I wouldn't place is a shambles.
A MUST READ BEFORE BOOKING A HOLIDAY WITH THE PALLADIUM HOTEL GROUP!!!!
Went to the - Grand palladium in Punta Cana in the Dominican. I never left the resort at all. After two days I became horrifically sick. I ended up in hospital with - Chronic bacterial gastroenteritis. This illness is caused via food poisoning. I was in intense pain and i was extremely unwell. At one stage i honestly thought I might die. The food at the resort is a danger to public health. I wish i could put photos on this site. I'm home now and my doctor surgery is running more tests. It's now day 12 and I am still very unwell. I will be taking this company to court. i googled this resort and a great number of people have been took seriously ill via the food they serve. So they know there have been previous people that have sustained food poisoning at their resorts but have done nothing. I will be going public with regards to what happened to me. My advice - DO NOT BOOK WITH - THE PALLADIUM HOTEL GROUP.
Disappointing Experience
Disappointing Experience – Poor Service and No Resolution
We stayed at Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa in August 2025 with our young children. While the pool and staff friendliness were positives, the service fell far short of what you’d expect from an all-inclusive.
Housekeeping only serviced our room once in five days despite repeated requests. Kids Club hours were inconsistent and not communicated, wasting time we planned around. Concierge seemed more focused on selling VIP packages than helping guests. Bell service at checkout was chaotic, and airport transfer on arrival was confusing.
After our stay, management acknowledged the problems but offered no real resolution—just a future upgrade if we came back. But why would we return when they didn’t take care of us the first time?
Beautiful setting, but inconsistent service and lack of accountability made this a disappointing stay.

Review Resorts THOUROUGHLY...Please dont waste your time or money. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, everything else was an effort to get what you paid for. They say you dont have to tip....good luck getting any booze in your drinks if you dont. I felt like a human sponge, constantly being wrung for any money they didnt get to extract yet. They only show you the best of everything on the ads, getting people to assume they are getting what is displayed. Poolside does not mean swim out room. Found that out after a 100 dollar a day upgrade. wife said you told us we qualify for an automatic upgrade. NO , only if you have a base room do you qualify. Double talking, money grubbing, word twisting con artists. Oh, all the free stuff you get with the upgrade has strings, everything is a hook to upsell you to something pricier, 300 dollar massages. After you show up because they offered you a free massage, then two for one deals on further massages. The day trips are a joke. parasailing, free, yeah for 10 stinking minutes. The hook? you can of course BUY longer sessions. The cups you are given at the bars are so small and jammed full of ice, usually watered down booze, or if you are not watching or let them bring you drinks prolly no booze at all. Unless you lay down tips on top of the 5 or 6 grand you are already into this place, good freaking luck. Dont really think they want americans on their island, Fake smiles all around. Place must be owned by Bernie Madoff. one big GRIFT. Since tourism is 60 pecent of your GDP. Goood luck with your model of detesting your clients and shearing them like sheep.

Poor safety standards - watch your step!
I stayed at the Grand Paladium White Sands resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico in June 2025. To say the safety standards are lax is an understatement. This resort is older and poorly maintained. There was a lot of standing water on marble floors, and 3 of the 21 people in my group fell and hurt themselves. I had a bad ankle sprain and my friend broke a facial bone. I saw 3 other guests suffer falls as well, one of whom was about 80 years old and had a black eye, hurt shoulder, knee, and ankle. Another fall victim appeared to have a broken arm. These falls would not have happened if the resort took appropriate safety measures such as fixing leaky roofs, quickly mopping puddles on floors, installing slip strips, and having better lighting and caution signs.
I was unable to walk on my ankle and was told I would have to rent a wheelchair since they were only used for emergencies. The medical facility at the resort is also poor: they do not have splints, crutches, or even ace bandages. The dr. "compression"-wrapped my ankle with a roll of gauze. To add to my difficulty, the resort is 3 stories tall and doesn't have any elevators.
Also of concern was poor customer service. I asked for insurance info for the resort and was promised a phone call or email, but never received one. I tried to contact the resort via email to request a partial refund since I needed to leave early and no one replied.
The staff was nice, but slow to respond to any requests such as drink service.
Shocking
Shocking stay at hotel. Foods always cold. Rooms not cleaned properly at all.cant use hot tub i paid extra for as its always dirty. Not cleaned at all. Staff are not helpful. Won't be staying at a palladium again. Will be making a formal complaint
No Common Sense!
A deeply frustrating and disappointing experience – not what we expected from Hard Rock
I’ve found dealing with the Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife to be ridiculously difficult, and I genuinely didn’t expect that from a hotel of this reputation.
We booked our summer holiday well in advance — flights booked directly, and accommodation reserved through Expedia. At the time of booking, there was no clear communication that the hotel’s main swimming pool would be closed for several weeks due to maintenance. If this had been for a day or two, fair enough, an inconvenience at most — but to lose the heart of the resort for the majority of the holiday? That changes everything, especially when travelling with a child.
We have a 9-year-old daughter, so our pool options are limited. The toddler pool isn’t appropriate, and the Eden pool is adults-only. That leaves just one pool — the Splash pool — and judging by a significant number of reviews and social media comments, this area is now overcrowded, overused and lacking in space. The hotel has apparently tried to cram in more loungers to cope with the demand, which only adds to the discomfort.
I reached out to Expedia to ask whether a refund or alternative could be arranged. I wasn’t asking for anything excessive — just what any family wants: a stress-free, relaxing summer break. After some time, I was told the hotel was unwilling to offer any refund. It’s disappointing, but I tried to move on.
Hoping to make the best of the situation, my wife and I decided to look into upgrading our room and turning the experience into something special. I emailed the hotel directly — politely, without a single mention of the pool issue — asking for room upgrade options and rates. The first response? “Contact your tour operator.” But this is Expedia, and the hotel already refused to modify or cancel the booking through them.
I explained this, only to receive a second reply saying they couldn’t provide room rates in advance and that we should simply “ask upon arrival.” Frankly, this is infuriating. We were willing to spend more money to upgrade, and were met with vague responses and no assistance. Not only are we unable to plan ahead, we now face the possibility of arriving to find no rooms available upgrades or being quoted an upgrade cost that’s simply not reasonable.
To be clear, this review isn’t just about a pool closure. It’s about a hotel that failed to communicate key information at the point of booking, then made no effort to accommodate a guest who wanted to improve their experience at their own expense. At every step, we’ve been met with indifference and red tape.
If we had wanted a hotel with just one pool, we would have saved our money and booked one. We didn’t. We chose Hard Rock for the amenities, the experience, and the brand — and we’ve been let down.
We are still hoping to make the best of it, but I wanted to share this honestly in case other families are in the same position. I only wish someone had warned us.
Stayed at Palmyra Hotel Ibiza
Stayed at Palmyra Hotel Ibiza, San Antonio Bay
Pro’s staff all were brilliant, safe and towels free, food ok no snacks in between meals other than a few sandwiches in a tiny fridge
Cons pool area very cramped sunbeds cramped together can’t even get on them from the side, no control over towels there was first 2 days of our 7 day stay checked towel against room number. That stopped when new young lad took over so free for all. This caused guests to leave towels on beds all day leave them there without collecting and stopped anyone using the bed
Evening entertainment none for 4 nights and last night the singer was so poor most guests went to bed
Rooms clean but double room to single beds put together and they moved as on castors
Noise at night right through to early hours from guests returning from partying very frustrating
The only bar was small very busy, why not have self service for beers and wine?
On beach front very busy promenade especially throughout the night
I would pick a quieter location less cramped as this was expensive for what it was
Avoid at All Costs - this Luxury Illusion – Unsafe, Unhygienic, and Completely Mismanaged
Our experience at TRS Turquesa by Palladium Hotel Group was nothing short of appalling. What is marketed as a 5-star luxury resort turned out to be a severely neglected property with dangerous hygiene standards and shocking maintenance issues.
During our December 2024 stay, I contracted a serious parasitic infection—Entamoeba Histolytica—confirmed by hospital diagnosis. This illness is transmitted via food or water contaminated with faecal matter. My wife and I did not leave the hotel once and ate exclusively at the resort’s restaurants. The source of the infection could not have been anywhere else. I have photographic evidence, including a fly stuck to uncovered food in one of the dining areas—an image that says more than words ever could.
But the hygiene issues were only the beginning.
The physical condition of the hotel is disgraceful:
Ceilings are peeling off, with visible water damage.
Public areas suffer from leaking roofs.
For nearly the entire two weeks, our room had no functional water supply—at times with zero water pressure, and on multiple days, no water at all.
Repeated complaints to staff resulted in empty apologies and no resolution.
This is not a 5-star resort. This is a deteriorating, poorly managed property that fails even the most basic expectations of cleanliness, infrastructure, and guest care. What’s worse, after submitting medical records and a hospital bill of over $4,000 USD, the management offered only a paltry “gesture” equivalent to three nights’ stay—an insulting and inadequate response to a genuine medical crisis.
I also formally requested key information including:
Liability insurance details,
A copy of the Health & Safety Certificate,
Contact for the inspection authority,
Name and contact of the CEO of Palladium Hotel Group.
All of these were ignored.
If you value your health, comfort, or even access to running water, avoid TRS Turquesa at all costs. This place is an expensive and dangerous mistake masquerading as a luxury retreat.

Not so grand palladium colonial, good luck
Stayed at palladium colonial recently and can confirm thieves are active here with management showing no interest when reported. Surroundings are beautiful as is the lobby area. Food is inedible in many cases including so called a la carte, cold slop served daily. Swim up bar closed and engulfed in tarpaulin, terrible. Beach full of seaweed stinking the place up. Rooms are 1970s beat up and you don't get what you pay for, thanks but no thanks from me.
The membership is a financial trap.

I regret signing the contract.
I got food poisoning, explained my phone was stolen. My experience was horrible.
We (Palladium - Travel Club and I) decided to end the contract with a refund, to later learn they recanted the refund. I’m liable for $4294.00 debt.
I am warning everyone on every platform that offers Travel Club- The Grand Palladium resort
We stayed at the Grand Palladium spa in…
We stayed at the Grand Palladium spa in Riviera Maya, this is the most expensive holiday we have been on and was looking forward to a luxury 5 star experience.
After an 11 hour flight and 1 hour transfer the first bad experience was being greeted by the reception staff and immediately being asked to buy an upgrade which straight away made us feel 2nd class, we turned this down.
The grounds are immaculately cared for and the pool areas spotlessly clean, there is a mixture of very friendly happy staff and downright rude which does not encourage you to give the expected tips.
the entertainment staff worked really hard and the shows were good.
after three attempts to get the mini bar replenished daily we gave up and it was replenished twice during our 14 day stay.
The room was a good size and well equipped but dated, the housekeeping was not good one day we got no toilet paper one day i used the laundry service they offer but it was not collected and when i complained was told that it was too late to get it done before our departure, and the day before we left our room was no cleaned at all and the bed was not made, all these small things took away from our good experience and i would rate this hotel as 3.5-4 star, and would not stay there again

Review: Grand Palladium Jamaica Lady Hamilton – A Disappointing Experience
Our recent stay at the Grand Palladium Jamaica Lady Hamilton as Presidential Ambassador Members of the Travel Club was nothing short of a disaster. Unfortunately, this resort failed to meet even the most basic expectations for an all-inclusive, let alone the elevated experience promised to Travel Club members.
Customer Service:
The service we received was unacceptable. The manager (butler), Lindsay, was particularly rude and unprofessional, raising her voice at us when we asked for clarification about the day pass policy. Instead of assisting us, she was dismissive and arrogant. It was shocking to be treated this way as members of the Travel Club, where we expected personalized service. Moreover, the staff consistently justified their poor service rather than resolving issues.
Member Privileges:
As Travel Club members, we expected exclusivity and priority access, but we felt no different from regular guests. Non-members repeatedly entered the member-only areas, taking our chairs, and no one enforced the policies. This completely diminished the value of our membership.
Spa Experience:
The spa services were appalling and overpriced. One therapist was texting during my massage, which was both unprofessional and disrespectful. When I brought this to the supervisor’s attention, she also raised her voice, making an already bad experience even worse.
Dining:
The dining experience was abysmal. The food across all the restaurants was disappointing, with no redeeming qualities. The chefs lacked basic knowledge, such as being unable to identify the type of tuna being served. The wine list was equally poor, offering only cheap, low-quality options. For an entire week, we survived on jerk chicken and rice because it was the only edible option. Adding to this, the restaurant décor was cheap and uninspired, which made the dining experience even less enjoyable.
Accommodations:
The room service was passable, but the in-room bar service was below average. Every day, we had to call to request water, which should have been replenished automatically. One evening, we witnessed three Jamaican men fighting outside our building, and shockingly, no security personnel came to address the situation. This lack of safety and security was deeply concerning.
Overall Impression:
For the price we paid and the expectations set by the Travel Club, this was by far the worst all-inclusive resort we’ve ever experienced. The lack of professionalism, poor quality of services, and subpar amenities made this an unforgettable trip for all the wrong reasons. We cannot recommend the Grand Palladium Jamaica Lady Hamilton to anyone.
