Scammers
Don't buy there membership, this is a scam. I've been made redundant and the customer service are now threatening me with collection agency even though we were told at the demonstration that our credit history wouldnt be touched. They're so unhelpful. I'm worried that I now have to fight this.
Poor customer service and bait and switch
I’m planning a trip to Mexico later this summer. I have seen various prices on different sites for palace resorts in Mexico. Unfortunately, each time I find a “good deal” it’s a bait and switch. I’ve even called palace resorts directly and was met with condescending tones, poor customer service and non transparent pricing. After I tried for the fourth time to book (where I was given until 9pm to call back with a reservation number) the agent who picked up the phone talked and talked until 9:01 and then said they were closed and cannot honor the price. I will NEVER provide palace resorts with my time or money anymore.

I am a premier Member at Palace resorts, we send my son and his family there for a week. Booked him a Ocean front room, when he got there they gave him a sub standard room at the edge of the resort and then they charged him more money for an upgrade it room. Do not waste your hard earned money with Palace resorts, it is a crooked corporation.
MOON PALACE HOTEL IN OCHO RIOS JAMAICA
MOON PALACE HOTEL IN OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA ARE TRAINED SCAMMERS TO TIE YOU UNWANTEDLY INTO THEIR TIME SHARING CONTRACT.
RATING IS: MINUS ZERO
DON’T GET SCAMMED by Palace Resorts!
We made the mistake by getting high pressure sold on a vacation to Cancun where they had the opportunity to use their flagship property the Grand Cancun resort as the expectation moving forward. Since then it’s been an absolute nightmare with incorrect charges, one sided arguments, and math that makes NO SENSE. You can get a better deals from Expedia and other online providers then you need to argue that point to get what you’re paying for monthly. The timeshare membership industry is a MULTI BILLION dollar SCAM and we hope that people read this and regardless of all the pressure tactics on vacation they use to convince and SCAM hardworking honest people into a debt spiral people use their intuition and gut instinct to realize if it sounds to good to be true most likely it is.
Extremely rude hotel representative!
My daughter and I visited Jamaica for the first time and we stayed at the Moon Palace resort to celebrate her college graduation. The hotel is nice, but I come into contact with a palace vacation planner staff member by the name of Sheri Simpson. As I walked through the glass doors entering the palace planner office Ms. Simpson, looked directly at me and rolled her eyes for no apparent reason. I have never made any contact with this lady (Ms. Simpson) in my life, but I decided to let her negative attitude towards me go.
There were approximately five female workers inside the office upon my arrival and just my luck Ms. Simpson, was in rotation to assist the next hotel guest. As my daughter and I sat down at Ms. Simpson‘s desk I was polite. Ms. Simpson‘s facial expression, body language, and how she spoke to me was extremely unprofessional as if she just wanted me to get out of her face.
The package that Ms. Simpson, booked for me I canceled it, due to her very unprofessional behavior. I then requested another worker to book the same package for my daughter and I.
At no time did I disrespect Ms. Simpson (I am truly blessed on all levels in my life). I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAT MS. SIMPSON, BE RETRAINED IN GUEST RELATIONS!
I informed multiple workers and the supervisor (Ms. T. Brown) of Ms. Simpson’s HORRIBLE ATTITUDE towards me which my daughter noticed as well.
I am in my mid 40s and I have been retired for approximately two years, due to my hard work ethics throughout my career and treating people with RESPECT from all walks of life which has allowed me to ENJOY the fruits of my labor at an early age!
The hotel again is nice, comfortable bed, food was ok, but the view from the north tower room #31127 (06/08-11/2023) was beautiful (ocean view)!
My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. Thank you, to all the other great staff members (Guest Service: Stassi Duncan very professional young lady, blessings) that my daughter and I came into contact with or just passing us with a very welcoming smile on their face.
After conducting my own investigation (Research). Say NO to the MEMBERSHIP that multiple hotel sale representatives are going to offer you which sounds like a great deal. But, anyone can get the same discounted rate online and not be locked into a CONTRACT and that is the reason the sale representatives want you to sign the documents (contract) before leaving their presence.

The hotels look very nice, but don't buy a membership
The hotels look very nice. The food is good, but not great. Poolside drinks are decent enough. We liked it enough that we got talked into buying a membership. This was the worst decision my wife and I ever made. The incentives offered in the sales presentation were misleading, as they had fast expiration dates. All the very expensive membership contract is good for is a so-called discounted rate on the all-inclusive, which are basically available to anyone anyway on travel sites such as Expedia. DO NOT GET SOLD A MEMBERSHIP. They wow you with the opulence of the hotels and sell memberships that are overpriced. Also, the contract is only enforceable in a Mexican court. They offered to take our timeshare in trade and failed to actually process the paperwork. This cost us two years of maintenance fees paid up in advance inclusive of the inability to use the corresponding paid stays per Palce trade requirements. Bringing the issues to their attention, they attempted to steer us into using a disreputable broker who does not have an actual business address. The broker called me to discuss my concerns. It was apparent he was a scammer. Palace Elite memberships are not worth the thousands they charge.
Our favourite resorts!
Stayed at moon palace on numerous occasions, in both nizuc and the grand, and we absolutely LOVE it. Best holiday we have even been on, hence we keep going back. Amazing customer service, staff so friendly, rooms clean and spacious, food fantastic. Can't recommend highly enough!!
Best holiday we've ever had
We've travelled the world and always stayed in the best hotels that money can buy, but none of them compare to the Sun Palace in Cancun.
As a rule we always like to try new destinations and hotels but we are going to be returning to the Sun Palace for the third time because it is the best holiday we have have had.
This is an adults only hotel with full access to a spa, beauty salon, gym, four restaurants, room service, mini bar and numerous resort activities and excursions. All of which are included in the price. Theres for a small services charge for treatments but it is well worth it.
It's located 15 minutes from the airport, right on the beach with full waiter service, plus all the rooms are suites. Everything is the best of quality from food and drink, to staff and service. All drink is top service brands and the food is made exactly to your requirements. Nothing is too much and they go out of their way to make your stay the perfect. This is the must relaxing and enjoyable holiday we have every had and we cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.
We are returning now in a few weeks and cannot wait.
