Mixed experience
Good pre-order customer service 're sending samples and ordering. When my items were eventually delivered, very good quality.
However, the delivery experience was poor. Gave a date when I was not available, but of course I was sent that precise date to deliver. The Warehouse delivery people did not respond to emails or phone calls to reschedule. The customer service team sorted it out but it was weeks later.
The delivery men were very good on the day.

A really beautiful bookcase!
Having moved into my new cottage I needed to find a shelving solution for some of my porcelain collection and decided that possibly a freestanding bookcase might fit the bill.Searching online I found The Painted Furniture Company and very much liked the Oxford bookcase…very elegant and with the option of bespoke size and painted finish.My initial phone enquiry was answered by a very pleasant,helpful and knowledgable lady and a bookcase that entirely fitted my requirements and could be finished to exactly match my walls was ordered.And it did not disappoint! Delayed delivery and no communication
Unfortunately it is now the 12th week since I placed my order on 11th April 2025 for two wardrobes and I still don’t have any indication as to when I can expect them. The delivery time on the website states they aim to deliver in less than 8 weeks. Over the last week I’ve emailed, left messages and called the office and spoken to people who’ve said the warehouse / delivery team will contact me. Still nothing. Losing faith. I would suggest using another company with better communication capabilities.

The “write” stuff
My wife is a writer and has her own writer’s shed in our garden.
As a wheelchair user it’s not always easy to find furniture that is both functional and nice to look at. Luckily the Oxford desk’s dimensions could be altered when it was ordered, and she now has a desk that combines aesthetics and practicality - it’s absolutely “write” for her!

Fine piece of furniture
We bought an 'investment piece' for our sitting room - a large wall cabinet in Ash Green and oak shelves. The staff in the shop were delightful and patient - we went in on a number of occasions to have a look at the cabinet on display! The two chaps who delivered were really careful and helpful and put the cabinet exactly where we wanted it. The piece of furniture is well made and crafted and is a beautiful and practical adornment to our room. We are very pleased indeed.

We have had several pieces of furniture from The Painted Furniture Company and have always been impressed by the quality, paint finish and numerous design choices available. The showroom staff are always friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Our last bedroom furniture was made to fit the spaces we had and that was a big plus when most companies will only sell standard stock. After moving house a couple of years ago we had finally decided that we needed some wider chests of drawers for our new bedroom. The showroom staff matched the paint colour to our headboard and we chose a dark stain for the wooden top. They look perfect. The company also deliver and install the furniture and best of all keep a record of past orders so that you can always add to your collection. Delighted to recommend them.
