Stay away! Awful experience. Check in was OK but it wouldn't take my credit card so I had to use my wife's. Returned the car asked if they wanted to inspect it, they said no. The next day I was informed the jack was missing, I explained that I had no reason to use it and hadn't touched it. They charged me for it anyway! The day before I dropped back the car they released the hold on the cc and charged the full deposit amount (over 20k rand). I chased my refund for two weeks only to discover they refunded my credit card and not my wife's. Why wouldn't you refund the card charged? The number of follow up emails to try and sort this out has been ridiculous. I will never use this rental company again and would not recommend. Very poor service.

Be very careful with your debit or credit card data with this company. Unauthorised payments from cards when they see fit. AVOID AVOID.

The dislikes
after 2 days of returning car a payment was taken for going over the extra millage already paid for on hire day. Which would normally be ok but I was NOT contacted as a courtesy to let me know incase I didn't have any money in account so I can make necessary arrangements to be paid as I get charged if I go into overdraft

So a simple call to me to let me know would have saved all the financial issues caused.

So be aware

Please please stay away. These guys are scum. They will do anything to get you into a car, but once it’s time to return the car they will try to pin the previous damage on you. Even when I was getting the car the guy checking the car was like don’t worry about these scratches it’s minor. Then they turn around and charge you to steal your deposit which is 500.
There are cheaper and better places out there with more professional staff.
Do yourself a favour and stay away.

Pace hire!!! Nearly six months in with this company and my opinion so far...From initial contact with Hannah, I knew that I was dealing with a professional and well organised company. She provided clear answers to all my queries and displayed full knowledge of trade. The process of actually getting on the road was made very easy and painless. Turn up, give all the required documents and within an hour out to work! On short notice they were there to provide me with a car to get me started. I wanted a specific car which was not available at the time but without fail and true to their word as soon as one arrived they contacted me straight away!!!!! The cars on offer are of the highest standard and are all well maintained by their in house team of fully trained mechanics. From dealing with their sales, accounts, maintenance or any of their departments you will always find a helpful and dedicated team of people always on hand to help. This is truly a decent and trustworthy company to do business with and will be around for a long time. Thanks to Hannah, Mohammad, Ash and all the team for a great service!!
