Disappointed After Years as a Regular Client
I've been a regular client of this veterinary clinic for years, even continuing to come back after moving out of Østerbro because I trusted the quality of care.
Unfortunately, my recent experience has been disappointing, and next time I need veterinary services, I will be looking for a new clinic closer to home.
My dog was treated for a urinary infection in late March, which was handled properly. As part of that treatment, a blood test was taken. Following this, I was asked to do two additional blood tests due to issues with the initial sample. On the third attempt, the sample again turned out to be unusable and was never sent to the lab. I was told at that point that since I had already paid for the test, I wouldn’t be charged again next time. I was asked to wait three weeks and follow a special diet before returning. However, when I came back for the follow-up visit, I was charged again — not for the test, but for the consultation itself.
When the results eventually came in, I was informed that the correct analysis hadn’t been requested from the lab, and I was asked to do yet another blood test.
All this while my dog had fully recovered and was showing no symptoms. Despite that, I was encouraged multiple times to go for “just one more test,” which felt excessive given the circumstances.
I decided to pause and asked for more detailed information before proceeding further. I sent two emails and followed up with a phone call, but I still haven’t received any response.
Although most of this was covered by insurance, I’ve now used over 21,000 DKK of the annual coverage — with a cap of 27,000 — leaving little room in case of a serious future issue.
This experience has left me frustrated and disappointed. I appreciate the help I’ve received in the past, but I can’t justify continuing with this level of service. I hope to find a clinic that’s both closer and more transparent in communication and billing.
