Order number 77313 - Great customer service
I recently purchase the Encounter Rod and Reel kit for my son for his fifteenth birthday. When we opened the rod there was a small hole in the cork handle where it was clear some of the filler had popped I imagine as the cork settled and contracted.
We contacted Orvis immediately and they offered to exchange it for another. We said we would rather repair it ourselves as my son is environmentally conscious and would prefer not to send such a simple repair back.
We agreed instead to keep and repair the rod and Orvis kindly instead sent us a fly box and a selection of flies to help get him started in his new hobby.
He is looking forward to learning how to make his own repair and to add to the tally of fish he has already caught on our local river. He was well chuffed with how it was resolved by Orvis. Both he and I are already Daiwa fan boys on our coarse fishing, but we chose Orvis over the Daiwa Wilderness rod because of the customer care promise and because we wanted to buy a product of British Heritage.

All ok in the end
I broke the top off my Helios rod. It was returned to orvis for warranty repair. It was returned to me with the wrong colour tip section and white dots that didn't line up.
To say I was annoyed would be an understatement.
After a second return for repairs Orvis stepped up and replaced my rod with a similar value rod of the original cost which is more than fair.

Don’t know what’s going on with this company. No help whatsoever no call back re Fly Fishing Trial - left message to call back, and absolutely nothing back. Awesome customer service
Needed a spare part for a fly reel that is decades old, sent an email and got a very quick response. I didn’t even have to pay for the part, just £6 for postage.
Fantastic service which is a breath of fresh air these days, and to still get spares for reels that are long out of production is awesome.

Outstanding Quality And Outstanding Customer Service!
I've been using OrvisUK since 2023 and I cannot recommend them enough! I've spent a LOT of money on the lot, from fly rods and reels to jackets and socks everything just oozes quality! The Helios 4 range of fly rods are a joy to fish with but your wallet wont be happy but hey, its a high-end company and all their rods are made in the USA... Their customer service is exceptional! I've just sent back a jacket and trousers that I purchased in February and got refunded without question! I can't think of any company that would do that after almost 60 days!? They've always been quick to answer any of my queries by email, they're also extremely knowledgable and keen to help with ANYTHING they can, I cannot recommend them enough! The low rating here confuses me, in my honest opinion it seems like people are being unfair because of my experience with my MANY orders... I'm always honest and genuine with reviews and OrvisUK thoroughly deserve my 5 star rating!

DO NOT BUY I bought a frequent flyer a number of years ago but only used it twice. Second time I used it. The second section after the tip snapped. So I rang their customer service team. And they said, my rod was not under lifetime warranty, strange that!!! When I bought it, I was told it had a lifetime warranty.
Just disgraceful behaviour. Is this the way to honestly do business.

I had problems registering a rod, and Orvis didn't even bother to respond despite many attempts to get in touch. It was a bad experience.

Have waited over a month for my order. Have received a continual stream of 'we are sorting it out' responses from their customer support team. No tracking information available. Possibly the worst online shopping experience I have ever had.

Orvis produces some of the finest fishing rods in the world, and I have a deep appreciation for their Helios series. However, there's something else I admire about Orvis.

Recently, I broke my rod whicht led to an exceptional customer service encounter with Katie B., the HR and Customer Manager at Orvis UK. Her approach to customerrelations and her knack for finding effective solutions epitomize the Orvis ethos, blending professionalism with kindness. To me, Katie cares about customers and the Orvis brand, delivering prompt and practical assistance. I'm deeply grateful for that. I returned a Battenkill reel for…
I returned a Battenkill reel for service to Orvis, and had an email saying the reel had been serviced and was being returned. Imagine my surprise whilst i was away an Orvis rod was delivered. Orvis chased up the rod and told me it had been delivered in error and asked me to wait in for the courier so it could be re-delivered, so i spent a day off waiting in and it was collected. I assumed automatically that my reel would be returned , but no nothing. I chased this up a week later when I was told Mary Ann was looking into it. I chased them again to be told my reel would be with me by the end of the week - 3 weeks after it was supposedly dispatched. The reel eventually arrived flapping around in a tatty box with a bit of bubblewrap - definitely not how it was sent. I've had no apology, no thanks for waiting in so they could sort their cock up out, and frankly Mary Ann was incredibly snotty. I thought Orvis was all about customer service - they are a bloody joke and they charged me £45 to change a spring !

Purchased a Clearwater fly rod 10ft rod 7wt and on the second use with a fish on the cork handle disintegrates. On inspection the cork had crumbled away where my thumb would be. This left a brand new rod useless. On reporting this immediately to Orvis I’ve just been fobbed off, asked to pay £60 plus courier for repairs. I just want a full refund having owned several rods over the years never had a problem with cork handles. Terrible company poor quality goods
Orvis 25 year guarantee scheme - not what it seems! !
Had my fly rod repaired under the '25 year guarantee' scheme. Orvis UK replaced the part promptly on a 3 year old rod not used during lockdown. The service was polite, efficient, prompt. However they charged me a whopping £60.00 'handling fee'. I think this is really sharp practice given the emphasis Orvis place on their 25 year guarantee!! If it is a real guarantee scheme - the service should be totally free.
Sadly Orvis clothing has pulled out of UK...
Bought quite a few products online from Orvis, mainly jumpers. Their style was always a little different to the usual things you find. Definitely on the high side but well worth it. Big Orvis jumpers are even starting to look well priced for keeping warm as compared to energy prices. Looked on their website, nothing but fishing tackle etc. Quick google confirmed Orvis is no longer in the UK for clothing.
May just look on the US site but probably not practical. I will miss Orvis.
Repair Of My Orvis Clearwater 15ft Salmon Rod
Customer experience was excellent. In four weeks my Orvis Clearwater 15ft rod was repaired, cleaned and shipped back to me. The service from customer service team to the repair team was one of the best I have ever had.
