rather take a boat across if you can
Worst train company on this planet
Like always the trains are delayed, theres randonly a 2hour gap on trains that go every 15min just randomly have a 2hour lull. Rails always under construction but nothing every works or improves, ridiculous travel times, abhorrent service and the trains break down all the time. The trains work better in the most corrupt run down countries in the world but kot in Scandinavia where we already pay a lot snd then when we are inconvenienced it even costs us more! A donkey and a cart would be a better option if they were still around
Horrible service
Horrible service. Most expensive train for short distances in the whole of Europe, and constantly suffering delays and cancelled trains between Denmark and Sweden. They should lower the prices if they don't want people to keep complaining. Just awful!!
Extremely bad level and service
Extremely bad level and service. No up to date communication
Worst train service ever
Worst train service ever. Poorly connecting Sweden with CPH airport and central Copenhagen. Lots of delays and cancellations. Not reliable at all.
Overcrowded
Overcrowded! It has been impossible to travel with you. One simple and fast solution: start implementing seat reservation and this problem will be solved.
Horrible experience!
I generally use this train a few times…
I generally use this train a few times a week and there is always some issues. It’s completely normal that a few trains are cancel in a raw and without any real explanation. The most common one is “unauthorized people on the tracks”, like there is so often people walking around on the track in Skåne?? Weirdly enough, pagatågen or any DSB trains doesn’t have this issue.
So much delays, over crowded, Wi-fi not working and frequently toilets out of service.
Ridiculous manner of checking ticket with people dress like civilians…
I really wonder why this is a monopoly, I would use any other company if I could.
The only positive point is that the price is the same no matter when you buy the ticket.
I commute with the Øresundtåg daily
I commute with the Øresundtåg daily - or rather I pay to. Unfortunately a straightforward journey is a rare and wonderful thing. It hardly ever happens. Whether it's a power fail, people on the tracks, staff not turning up - there's always something. Just at Lund now at 21:49, on 15th Sept. 2025, having left Copenhagen Central around 6pm. This morning was worse in the other direction - I had to get a taxi costing 1500 SEK, because the train just cancelled. It's like this all. the. time.
Worst train company I have ever used
Worst trains I have ever used! All the time you have technical problems like switch fault, electrical fault and staff shortage. Right now I am standing at station in cph, and of course train is cancelled!!!! Piece of shit
Awful
As always, rude and arrogant staff with no customer service or communicational skills. 0 stars was not an option
Very good experience
Our experience traveling with Öresundståg was great so far. We traveled from Kopenhagen to Älmhult with our bicycle. In Kopenhagen was friendly staff that booked a ticket for us because we couldn't find any tickets for our bicycles (turns out you only have to pay for a bike ticket for the bridge. After that, in Sweden, it's free). The staff traveling with us was also super friendly and informed us about the train separating in Hässleholm. And because the train was very full, the conductor decided to not sperate the train so we could stay in our wagon.
Also everything was on time, the price was reasonably low and the seats were comfortable. Will ride again.
Super nice and helpful service staff! Good experience!
The information at Copenhagen main station was extremely helpful! All the people were super nice! We also tool our bikes and were happy that we got help with the tickets!
Also at the train itself people were very supportive, aware and even funny.
We had a great comfortable experience and didn't feel lost at any point of time!
Worst train company ever.
Worst train company ever.
A train breaks down. A replacement train pulks up on the adjacent side.
Noone tells the people to move to the other train. The replacement train takes off before people with luggage has time to switch.
Doors closing in front of their noses and it pulls away.
Train personel sees it and instead of helping people on they throw off their luggage.
They will probably write some stupid answer about contacting their support but I say **CK YOU!
Absolutely the Worst Train Experience
I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with the quality of service provided by Öresundståg. My recent experiences with this train operator have been consistently poor and have left me questioning its operational standards and commitment to passenger care.
First and foremost, the lack of punctuality is unacceptable. Delays appear to be routine rather than exceptional, and in many instances, trains have arrived significantly behind schedule — without any clear explanation or forewarning. For commuters and travelers with onward connections or professional commitments, this unpredictability is extremely disruptive.
Equally concerning is the lack of communication during service disruptions. When delays or cancellations occur, there is often little to no information provided on platforms, via onboard announcements, or through the app. Passengers are frequently left confused and uninformed, which only exacerbates the frustration and chaos of an already inconvenient situation.
The conditions onboard are also below an acceptable standard. Overcrowded trains, limited seating availability, poor ventilation, and cleanliness issues significantly diminish the travel experience. The discomfort is particularly noticeable during peak hours and border crossings, where security procedures are implemented without clear coordination or communication.
Additionally, the cross-border coordination between Sweden and Denmark appears to be poorly managed. Delays and procedural inconsistencies at passport control contribute to further inefficiencies, and there seems to be a systemic failure in streamlining this critical aspect of international service.
In conclusion, my experiences with Öresundståg have been deeply disappointing. For a service operating in two countries known for their high standards of public infrastructure, this level of performance is both surprising and unacceptable. I sincerely hope that Öresundståg takes immediate steps to improve reliability, communication, and passenger comfort.
Probably the worst train service on the…
Probably the worst train service on the planet. Extremely unreliable, most trains are late and very often cancelled. Replacement traffic is badly coordinated, if it’s coordinated at all. Sometimes the trains are allowed to be dangerously full. There are no words to describe how hideous it is to travel on Øresundståg. It’s also noteworthy, how no one seems to take the responsibility for all the problems.
Ticket checkers working in the train…
Ticket checkers working in the train are extremely rude. I bought a ticket from Malmö to Copenhagen earlier and I went to get some food before train leaves. I forgot to activate ticket. When they come to check ticket, I tried to activate it but the internet connection does not allow me to do it for 5 seconds .He thought that I did on purpose and insulted me in front of the other passangers and threatened me to pay 1500 SEK. I can pay 1500 SEK if you send me your account dear oresundstag officials but you should know how to speak with your customers kindly if you know how to do it or if you know how to be a civilized person. Anyway trains are always later and customer relations are extremely rude . You can put it in Europe's rudest train service.
DELAY AS ALWAYS
TRAINS FROM SWEDEN ON THE WAY TO COPENHAGEN ARE ALWAYS IN DELAY
Extremely rude and agressive ticket…
Extremely rude and agressive ticket checking man! On the train from to Göteborg, departing from Copenhagen at 14:30 on 25.12.24.
I strongly don't recommend taking this train!
Again the train did not go right from…
Again the train did not go right from Copenhagen to Gothenburg has to jump off and on a new again
Frequently delayed, 2-8 minute-long and loud announcements
1. The trains are frequently delayed, crowded, or just don't come.
2. On warm days, the air conditioning often doesn't work, resulting in hours of a literal sauna feeling on the train.
3. The announcements are the most useless announcements I have ever heard. They start listing all the stations the train will stop at, resulting in 2-8 minute-long announcements. I have to work on the train, and concentration is zero if somebody is talking to you at full speaker volume. Even in the quiet compartments, they let the announcements run—nothing is quiet about that. They repeat in Swedish and English... it is very unnecessary.
4. The tickets are super expensive. I pay more than 3000 SEK traveling between Malmö and Copenhagen.
Now to the positive side:
1. The personnel are usually quite polite.
2. The view is nice on the bridge.
3. You can lend your ticket to other people.
That's about it, and I have to admit it's probably one of the worst train experiences I have had. I am from Germany and used to DB...
