Truly superb holiday in Chile

Optimundo were superb from the moment I contacted them. The information and advice provided was spot on and it was great to be able to discuss our plans with someone who really did know the country.

I am old fashioned and like to have bookings and so on printed out on paper so I wasn't too happy with the "no paper" policy, but as was explained most hotels don't use vouchers any more and everything went according to our itinerary. On the subject of electronic bookings, I found that it wasn't necessary to check-in online for Lan Chile flights and it was easier just to use the automated check-in machines they have at the airports.

All the guides that met us were polite and very informative. Chile is just an amazing country, even more so than I had expected. It's a tough call to name a favourite place, but I think it would be the Atacama desert. I wish we could have stayed longer. All in all one of our most memorable holidays.

Very pleased with the service.

Sadly now back from our excellent trip to Chile and Argentina. The main item on the holiday was the Australis cruise (that I can highly recommend). We looked around before booking and found the best price was with Optimundo. Andrew was very helpful and we ended up booking our hotels in Buenos Aires and Torres de Paine through Optimundo too. Once in Argentina everything worked as planned and Antonia, the charming guide that met us at BA airport and showed us the city, was wonderful.

We are already talking about how much we would love to return and see some of the north.

We had a wonderful holiday.

We had a wonderful holiday. We were so please to add the Chiloe drive to our holiday and it was in fact the part of the trip we enjoyed the most. That is some feat considering the stunning locations we visited in the far north and south of the country. The combination of the fascinating local culture and the chance to see "ordinary" daily life is what swung it. Really memorable. Thanks to Andrew for calling to check up on us on the first day. It was unnecessary, but reassuring to know we were on the radar! We would love to come back some day and drive down to Aysen - it looked amazing from the shores of Chiloe. Thanks again for all your help. Saludos, Sally & Caroline
