Fantastic company, highly recommended and the staff are so helpful.

AVOID THIS COMPANY - LIED TO / Refund Promise for VMP-2 Airsoft Gun £400 — Still No Resolution

I’m writing this on behalf of my friend Jason, who was misled and treated unfairly by OnlyAirsoft after purchasing a VMP-2 airsoft gun from their Snetterton store.

After purchasing the VMP-2, Jason experienced some performance issues and was advised by store staff to return the item so it could be inspected. (Pictured attached) In-store — in front of multiple witnesses — he was told that if the gun was found to be in full working condition, a refund would be processed. He was even given a return form, on which the staff ticked the “refund” box, reinforcing what was said.

(Jason has been going to Norfolk for years and had asked us to go with him this year in September, we have booked and Jason and some family that are booked have been into the shop before to have a look to see how much to save for the holiday, after Jason’s experience we decided it was best not to use this store but with him (apparently having a refund) we decided it was a one off so still to plan to visit) (read on because we will not be revisiting)

Once the gun was returned and inspected (and confirmed to be in full working order), Jason was surprised to receive an email stating that no refund would be given, and that the gun would simply be sent back to him. (This is £400 we’re talking about) This completely contradicts what was promised in-store, and when Jason asked to speak with a higher-up, he received no follow-up or resolution.

To make matters worse, the company stated they could send the item to the manufacturer for further inspection — but only if Jason agreed to pay an £80 fee if no fault was found again. This comes across as unreasonable and seems like a deterrent rather than a solution.

Jason has now contacted Citizens Advice and is preparing to escalate this further with Trading Standards.

We understand that OnlyAirsoft is a small business and may not operate with the same resources as larger retailers — but that does not excuse making a refund promise in person and then going back on it later in writing. That’s not just poor customer service — it borders on misrepresentation, especially when a customer makes a decision based on that promise.

We’re still hoping OnlyAirsoft will do the right thing and issue the refund that was promised face-to-face. We would prefer to resolve this quietly and fairly, but at this point, we feel a public review is necessary to document what happened to prevent other people’s holiday finances and days out being ruined by a visit to here because we’re all genuinely gutted as we really wanted to visit and hoped to purchase from a reputable place

Brilliant service, great store.

Both the Stevenage and Snetterton stores are well stocked with RIFs and accessories and they both have friendly, approachable staff happy to assist. The Stevenage store helped me find my feet after getting back into airsoft after years away. Membership offers decent discounts that really do mount up.
The website has a handy chat system where they can check if some items are listed at either location that may not be listed on the website.
Parking near both stores is a non-issue as it is plentiful.
I'm happy to recommend OnlyAirsoft as they've served me well without any hassles.

Great service with the product I was looking for.

Honestly speaking, I’ve had a best experience and walked out with the best option. Adam that served me to was the most helpful Informer I’ve had today compared to all my visits around London. Travelled over 60 miles was worth it all. From all the information I’ve had today, probably worth every penny I’ve paid today.

Adam was very helpul and pretty much knew what i wanted from my vague description. He made me feel very relaxed and demonstrated everything proffesionally. I left the store with a top quality item and accessories for much less than i expected. Very much enjoyed my visit. He smelt sweet... Adam is wikipedia of all the guns and accessories.
