Don't recommend this company

Some products are good but 30% are bad or damaged. Don't recommend this store. T-Rex no more nails glue tube with a price on shelf around 110 czk but at the till correct price was 169 czk and they glue was hard and dry, impossible to use. Also the OBI paint is very rubbish used 5 times in the same area and still yellow marks show don't even think its for Bath and kitchen. They mix good paint with maximum amount of water, don't waste money on OBI paint. Bought a lighter for the cooker and it broke after use 2-3 times. Also online delivery 2-3 days took like 5-7 days and item was missing.

I am angry

I am angry. Due to credit card abuse I was illegally charged an amount of almost 300 EUR. I immediately complained about the booking and filed a complaint. Now, a few weeks later, the same amount is debited again without the possibility of complaints in online banking. Once again, I have to look for the telephone PIN in my documents every time I call, torture myself through the telephone hotline and laboriously reclaim my money. What is this? Thank you for your answer

A nice gardening table

A nice gardening table. Everything fit together properly and was easy to build, which took approximately 30 minutes to build.
The only thing that was wrong was that the back side of one drawer was stapled crooked so I had to remove the 4 staples and set 4 screws.
A nice product, I would recommend it.

Obi is like a casino...

Ordering online from Obi is very much like gambling. You might win once in awhile, but usually you will lose. Very unreliable at delivering the correct item in the time frame promised.

The worst online shopping experience I…

The worst online shopping experience I ever had. I cannot imagine what it must be to work at a company that is as inept at handling every step of the process this badly. I would rather walk to the next Hornbach store and carry my purchase back home than order at obi a second time.

Here is the timeline of my struggle which at this point is still not over:

May 10th - The online shop shows supposedly tells you whether a product is in stock or not. Nevertheless, 24 hours after my order was made, I received an email telling me that half of the articles are out of stock and cannot be sent out. Since only half of my order is useless to me, I wanted to cancel the rest of the order as well instead of having to ship it back after receiving.

What followed was the most ridiculous customer "service" experiences I had in my more than 10 years of online shopping.

Immediately after receiving the email, I sent an email to customer service to cancel my order. Since I figured that time is of the essence, I decided to also give them a call. After waiting 30 minutes on the phone, the representative told me she cannot cancel anything as my items are shipped from multiple locations. She would instead put a note into their systems and told me to hope for the best.

May 13th - I received my first shipping notification two days after the call to customer service. Why it takes their system 24 hours to notice that my ordered products are not in stock and they are unable to process my request for cancellation in those two days was baffling to me. It would not be the most baffling event of this journey.

After receiving my parcel tracking #, I contacted the logistics company DPD and told them I would not accept the delivery and they should just send it back to the original sender which they did.

May 18th - DPD tells me that they finished the delivery back to obi and the package was received.

May 20th - I receive two (!) answers by separate customer service representatives to my email to customer service telling me that, unfortunately, they cannot honor my request for cancelling my order. I do not know why obi is telling me this a whole week after letting me know that the items have left their logistics center and two days after the order was returned to them but hey, at least I got an answer.

June 16th - Good news! says the email from obi. My order has been shipped and is on its way to me. In a second email I received an invoice. Both are for the exact same items from my first order from May 10th. Apparently obi's system is either suffering from dementia or has had a stroke. At that point I am still waiting for my refund for the items that obi received almost one month ago.

June 17th - I write to obi's customer service asking about the status on my refund.

June 19th - Even their robots work slowly. I recieve an automated response telling my that because of Covid, customer service may take longer than usual.

July 24th - Having received neither a response nor my money back, I send a reminder to obi.

August 03rd - Obi sends me an email telling me that my return shipment has arrived. The receipt is missing half the items. One hour later, Paypal informs me that I received a refund for half of the returned items. The saga continues...

Hornbach ~ OBI

Hornbach ~ OBI

I thought Hornbach was bad until I’ve tried OBI.

I’ve reserved a Weber Grill online to be delivered to a Market near home and pick it up from there. It was supposed to be on the market between 2 - 3 Working days (great, I could use it this weekend, since I’ve ordered it on a Monday).

Thursday came and still no e-mail, so I’ve decided to write them a mail to see what’s going on. Still waiting for an answer (that was last Friday) and still no answer.

The only thing why I’m happy, is because i didn’t paid anything yet. Otherwise, according to the reviews here, it would be another headache.

Stay away from Hornbach and OBI, go to Hagebau: friendly staff, good selection and almost in every city.

PS: I’ve bought the Weber Grill from the official page. It’s a little more expensive but at least they deliver on time and they answer fast.

I ordered a Respecta mini kuche.The…

I ordered a Respecta mini kuche.The delivery was a disaster ,the item was send back to Integral in Koblenz .i called this Firma the same day i discover that to tell to send the item back .They told i must communicate direct with Obi.is from 01 JULY I call the Obi service 3 times a week to have again the delivery.they always tell me everything fine no stress the item will send again.
Friday after 17DAYS i discover that Obi just cancelled my order.
Obi is holding my money MORE THAN 1 MONTH .they just lye every call,and i still not back my money.
SIETE DEI GRANDI PEZZI DI MERDA.non si lascia una persona per un mese senza soldi e senza cucina in un nuovo appartamento.
Vergognatevi!!!!!!

Item delivered broken, no response for refund request

Update:

As you can see from the Obi’s response below, they have no intention on solving the issue. Response is probably from a bot anyways.

Order was delivered in April 2020 and the item delivered was broken on delivery. The delivery guy drove off before we were able to tell him so we called the customer service the next minute. No answer.

We sent a request for refund and return the product (it is too large to send back via regular mail) and no answer.

Several calls have been made where they would tell us that someone will call us back with more information and to schedule a pick up. No answer.

It’s a middle of June and we still have a broken product in the original packing waiting for their service to pick it up and for the money to be returned.

I don’t expect anything to happen. Absolutely the worst customer service experience.

Avoid shopping here if you can because when there’s a problem with delivery or the product you ordered, you won’t hear anything back and your money will be gone.

I've made an order at the end of March, no delivery and no money after 3 months

I've made an order at the end of March 2020 and the item was delivered even after 6 weeks (they claimed that the item is in the stock and should be delivered in withis 5 working days), so I've cancelled my order. I haven't heard from them since the cancellation until today when they send me an email that my cancel was cancelled because they do not have the item. It has been 3 months since I made the order, 6 weeks after I cancelled it by myself.

Until now I haven't received what I have ordered and I haven't seen my money.

The worst e-shop I have ever bought something from and the worst customer experience ever.

Not to mentioned that their customer service is just not picking up the phone and it is impossible to reach them

Ordered in March, was never delivered but no money back and no replies from Obi on my questions.

I ordered online in March. Was never delivered to me but money was collected from OBI and they ignore since that all my tries to get my money back. This is the worst online store and customer service I ever was in contact with. Still waiting for my money or any reply. And I reached out to them multiple times, Obi does not care. Never again !

Im März ein Trampolin bestellt, laut Obi Seite lieferbar. Bis heute nicht geliefert aber auch das Geld nicht erstattet. Alle meine (vielen) Mailanfragen wurden ignoriert, Hotline, falls man mal durchkommt, wiegelt ab man werde sich darum kümmern (passiert aber nichts). Ich möchte einfach gerne mein Geld zurück. Terrible Customer Service. Didn’t get the order

I completly advise against online shopping in OBI. On 21st March 2020 i ordered hanging chair and i got information that it will be delivered at the latest on 4th April. Today is 11th May and i am waiting to get my money back as i am tired to have pointless conversation with their customer service which just send template of answers without reading what customer requests. When you try to call them you have to wait at least 20 minutes on the line. Nobody is able to speak english. I didn’t get my order on time and I was all the time the one who was trying to solve this issue. No reaction from OBI’s side. After many messages they told me that shipment company couldn’t deliver the armchair to me because OBI didn’t provide them my full number (i have polish phone number so country prefix is required as well). After that OBI didn’t know where is my order and they told me that they are in contact about that with shipment company. After more than 3 weeks with no update and requests from their side not to stop sending them messages I decided to request the return of money. Terrible experience. Will never buy there anything again!!!
Dear OBI i have few advices for you how to improve your customer service:
1. Hire employees who are able to speak english - both the one who answers on emails and the one who answers clients’ calls
2. When you share datas regarding the order with shipment company share them in the same form as they were written by the customer in an order form, do not cut on your own some parts of data
3. If you have problem with shipment company - you handed over them an order but they didn’t deliver it to the customer and you have problems to locate an order send customer a new order to keep him satisfied and then solve your problems with shipment company for as long as you want
4. Never ask customer to stop sending you messages - its his right to send you as many messages as he wants especially if you don’t do your job well and it is your responsibility to answer on them
5. Read with understanding what customer writes you and answer him with individual message and not with template answer which has nothing to do with customer’s request
6. Do not send to customer the satisfaction survey if you didn’t manage to deliver him an order

Very disapointed with Obi's service

I've done 2 orders in the last 2 months: one to deliver home and it took extremely long and was only partially delivered. The other one to pick up at market: after selecting all products and getting the confirmation to pick them up, all was cancelled and had to order it all again in a different online provider.

Broken Pot.

The delivery of plants was on time but when I opened the box, the condition of plants was not good, they were very tightly packed and the pot with palm was broken and all the sand came out. Unfortunately I had to shift it to other pot. I hope from next time OBI send plants in separate boxes instead of putting all plants in one which destroys their condition.

I ordered a heated vest that comes with…

I ordered a heated vest that comes with a battery. After months of waiting I recieved the battery only and no vest. Order says it was delivered but it was the battery only. I've emailed their customer service and never get a reply back. Havn't been able to find a customer service number to contact anyone. My thoughts are it's a scam and no way to get your money back.
