We went for a family dinner in Berlin …
We went for a family dinner in Berlin and thought this Austrian restaurant looked cosy.
To be fair there were only elderly white people in the restaurant, but we were not prepared for the unhelpful waiter and bothered looks from some guests.
As we entered it didn't seem to be full, but we were not invited to sit anywhere straight away. Also our two kids age 5 and 7 were clearly bothering a whitehaired plainclothes woman sat at the bar. She seemed to be some kind of manager.
We struggled ordering as we don't speak german and there was no help from the staff. The food was decent for the price. However the hospitality was non-existing and children seems to be a nuisance. That made us speed through the meal just to get out. The place left us with an overall feeling of being undesired guests.
