This is ONE Great Service!

I had never heard of Number Barn until recently. What a great service this is though! If you ever have the need to "Park" your phone number for awhile, this works great to have them port it over. Then you can suspend a high phone bill while you still keep your number. Plus, they are so helpful and friendly. I love this service!

Try them before you buy...

If i could give NO star at all i would have certainly done it.
Because of so many scams going on on the Net, i decided to give these people a try and buy a quite cheap number. I must say that, before purchasing, i contacted them a couple of times to also test the customer service. I got an answer each time.
After the purchase of the number, not only i never heard from them again, I never even got the number !
I was furious because of the way they handled the business but, on my part, it was a test that kept me from spending on other numbers i had the intention to purchase.

Jessamyn helped with the transfer of our numbers from Ooma Office to NumberBarn/NumberGarage. All questions were handled within 24 hours and we're much better off with our phone system handled by them now!

I was in the middle of porting a number…

I was in the middle of porting a number to my cell service provider and numbernarn.com went down last Saturday after I initiated the port request. numberbarn.com (the only way to contact them, and manage my account) went 404, and continues that way right now. I have absolutely no idea now whether they are even still in business. All I know for sure is my account is not available so I can't even get the information to answer any questions my cell provider might have. If they are still in business, this is not a way to keep it that way.
Update 5-15-24 - I am glad to hear that you are still in business. I actually appear to have my new number in service today, but your website, and hence, my numberbarn account information, is still inaccessible since sometime between last Friday and last Saturday. I am writing this on the following Wednesday. I am sorry for my fat fingered b/n keystroke that gave you the impression I couldn't spell "barn". I was checking this after midnight last night and wondering if I might ever get to speak to an actual numberbarn employee who might be interested that some portion of the internet was not able to access your website for over 5 days. BTW, numberbarn also doesn't pass the spell checker so I wasn't checking it too close. Take my word for it, it's autocompleting in my browser at this point.
This is my first experience with numberbarn, and you know what they say about first impressions? It just couldn't have happened at a worse time. As a tip of the hat, I have raised my rating to 2 stars. I took a pic of the numberbarn.com still timing out as I write this, but there is nowhere to post a pic here, so I guess you'll have to take my word for it. If I could have gotten to my numberbarn account today, I might have gone as far as 3 or 4 stars, but I'll stick to just 2 for now.

Update 5-16-24 I just checked to see if my account was accessible and there it was. I have upgraded my review to 4 stars as of today because you got the porting completed with no service provider issues, within a few days, as expected, and all is good. The only thing that went off the rails was my access to my account in the middle of it all. One thing I never mentioned in all this is that I also downloaded the app from the playstore on Saturday. It would also sit and spin trying to connect, but never worked either - until today. I tried it today and it now works. I figure 4 stars is about as much as I can give with those significant hiccups, but all is good now. I will use your services again.

Great Customer Service, quickly solved my problem!

I had a difficult situation with a closed email account and submitted a request to Number Barn for help. My request was answered right away and the security info was required,which I thought was great, then the next day I was helped by Ivette and she fixed my problem that day so I could access my account. Truly excellent Customer Service! No better service to Park a phone number than Number Barn!

I was using numberbarn over 4 years for…

I was using numberbarn over 4 years for all my vanity number needs. And successfully ported out to wireless carriers on an as needed basis until May 2023. 7 canadian phone numbers I had parked with them are found can not be registered for whatsap. That means I can not use that numbers anymore. Finally ended up deleting all my vanity numbers deleting and closing my account with numberbarn. All the costs for tge numbers and the parking cost were lost. They have refunded only one month parking fee .
If you are planning to buy any numbers please enter on whatsap ( pretend changing number ) and check the compatibility .

Regarding WhatsApp, we've been watching this situation closely. The short of it is that NumberBarn numbers are classified as wireline and WhatsApp made a change in policy to no longer support wireline numbers. We're finding that even when customers port their number to a wireless carrier, WhatsApp still isn't supporting certain numbers.

We have corresponded with WhatsApp support and they have acknowledged an issue but don't have an idea as to when this will be fixed. It seems their system isn't refreshing regularly to see that a number is classified as wireless not wireline.

I have your ticket open and will keep you updated in the event that WhatsApp changes their position in the future.
