Their customers service is the worst! Very unprofessional and childish communication. This organisation only focuses about getting money and doesn’t care about the experience of the students. They have many manipulation techniques in the way they offer their services. Alot of misinformation and tricking people.

Was a great course, I finally escaped from that difficult situation of never speaking dutch. I did the A2 course, now I can read, speak and understand quite good dutch.

The online course is the worst course I have ever seen.
It's not entirely a ripoff, but very close to one. The text from their books and exercises might as well be from the 80s. It is the laziest attempt at converting a course that used to be in a book to one that's digital. If that wasn't bad enough, the courses are badly organised and incomplete. The questions they ask in online course sometimes contain neither information from the booklets you get, nor from the videos you have to watch.
As to "stuck in the 80s", basically, you will be presented with some incomplete material, then move on to questions which are literally a list of questions followed by a textbox where you have to enter the answers for **every** question into. And to make matters worse, to see the solution, all you have to do is scroll down (on some pages) or click on "reveal", which presents the correct answers as a blob of text.
YOU have to correct yourself and YOU have to give yourself a score.
Oh, it gets worse. There are "comprehension" lessons. They DO NOT PROVIDE THE VIDEO OR AUDIO FOR YOU. YOU have to go on youtube, find a video, watch it, and check off the "exercise".
To top it all off, if you cancel ahead of time, you have to pay 40% ON TOP of what you already paid.

The course itself was set up okay, but at day 1 I already had to contact the course mentor because of an inaccuracy. Also, the course was quite expensive for what it entailed in my opinion. Lastly, instead of receiving an automated certificate after completion, you have to send an request via e-mail, for which it takes a week for a reply. At the first reply they wanted to charge me another €34,95 for the certificate, even though this was included in the course. So now almost a month after completion, the application for the certificate has finally been completed and now I only have to wait another couple of weeks to receive it by mail..

Extremely Frustrated - Lack of Communication and Delayed Refund
Review:
Despite multiple emails seeking information on my refund status, there's been no constructive feedback or resolution from NTI. Promises of a 4-week turnaround remain unfulfilled, and the advertised customer service standards are far from reality. The lack of communication and transparency is disheartening. I demand immediate attention, clarity on my refund status, and, most importantly, my money back now. This experience has been highly disappointing and does not align with the expected level of service.

It has been now 2 weeks that I have had no response to my emails sent to customer service and the student coach. Also tried to reach through the phone but after 25 minutes of waiting in line, I gave up. Horrible company, I fully regret buying their course.

Very very very unprofessional company. They have horrible customer service and their whole IT system doesn't work. I signed up for a course that is in total 547 EUR and paid it, but after I received the invoice, the number was 632 something. They were going to charge me another 85 EUR even though I paid out the course in fully. Then the customer service told me that their website might have been updated later "kindly" asked me to pay the remaining amount, instead of fixing this problem.
I then requested a refund, but after then they take things very slow. I had to fill out this form and send the books back, nowhere I could find the return address. I finally "convinced" the customer service to give me the return address and now they couldn't refund me because they didn't have my bank account (!?). I learned this when I called them, nobody notified me of this and nobody told me that I had to enter my bank account number in the dashboard.
They return to emails very late, minimum 4 days. The person who returns to the emails are different than the customer service on the phone. So, they tell you different things depending on which communication media you use.
One star is too much for this company.

The teacher who corrects your homework explains to you what and how to improve every time, the teacher of the online lessons, mine was Jeneviev <3, she is adorable, she motivates you and coach you, she explains everything about the Dutch world. You have tho opportunity to prctice the language through code+, which is very useful for understanding your weaknesses and for improving yourself. The grammar explanations are clear and exhaustive. You get a dictionary that will be useful to you forever.

I signed up for a Dutch course and immediately realised that it was the wrong one. So I called and explained the situation and they assured me that they will refund me so I can sign up for the right course. I waited for the refund only to find out that it was not a full refund. Upon inquiry they said they will deduct the 100 euro they kept from my next bill, but the bill never came. I called and emailed dozens of time, occasionally I get a response that "they are waiting for it" meanwhile I've been waiting for two months for access to the learning environment.
Very bad service - the only reason I gave two stars is because the customer service agents on the phone are very polite and try to help.

The materials are good, delivery is quick, the online tool is easy to use. But what the online environment is missing is the ability to react to the comments given by the teacher, this necessitates the need for outside email contact to the teacher which could be prevented if the ability to respond was present in the environment.

Somewhere between 2010 and 2012 I decided to take a change and challenge myself to study with NTI, being very optimistic I signed up, did one assignment, handed that in and unfortunately for me dealing with mental health I quit after that assignment. Never attending or handing anything in after that and quitting the school.
Just to move to UK and leave behind my traumatic experiences in The Netherlands and start fresh.
Now I get a letter that I’m not allowed to apply for a passport because I’m in debt with studiefinanciering that’s surprising right?
Because when I stopped at NTI (didn’t even last 3 months) DUO also put a stop to my travelling card, which was proof to me that me stopping has been acknowledged.
So now not only was DUO putting money on an account I no longer used, but for an education I wasn’t even in and that is causing me a lot of turmoil.
Especially being an EEA citizen where for a lot of things my passport is required or even travelling with my children.
I’m appalled that NTI would still receive money for a student who stopped early. You won’t find one assignment or form of communication from me to them so it’s either they did not make a note or just ignored it, because it’s strange and very disturbing to be punished for something I handed correctly back then and having to deal with that now, so many years later. So I won’t recommend.
I never had a letter from NTI anymore, books, assignments so that means my request to stop was confirmed.
Why does DUO see something different in their systems?
I feel bamboozled.

I think NTI is a great way to study as an adult. With a busy familylife with 2 little boys this is a good oppertunity to study and make a switch from carreer. I found it easy to start and was very motivated. The only thing I miss is someone who asks sometimes how its going. I struggle a bit now with time-management because of issues I have to deal with. I understand that I always can ask for help, but a little bit of support would be motivating and helpful.
