Food is decent but service, atmosphere, and pricing are horrible.
Visited this restaurant in Port Moody for the first time but were disappointed in the experience. The food was decent but the service was not. My husband and I arrived ~5 minutes before our friends but never got a visit from a server. The first server to attend the table arrived about 10 minutes after we were all seated which resulted in a total of 15+ minutes without a server. The person who came to our table apologized after we mentioned that we had been waiting for a long time and said she wasn't the server for that area but that she would take care of out table after that.
Throughout our meal we noticed that she was pretty much the only one taking care of the tables in our section so we're pretty sure she was the designated server.
During the meal there were a few things that were annoying. One of our party asked for an extra napkin but never got it, another person asked how the truffle fries could be gluten free or gluten friendly as indicated on the menu if they were cooked in a deep fryer used for items with gluten. The server wasn't sure so said she would check on that and get back but that didn't happen. The person with the gluten intolerance asked if they had gluten free buns and was told yes so ordered that with the burger, but the burger arrived on a lettuce wrap instead. Two of the meals out of 4 arrived first with the second two arriving ~5 minutes later which is awkward for the folks with food having to wait. Another person ordered a coffee to go with the dessert but it took a long time to get it. The coffee arrived well after the dessert was finished.
The lack of follow through and poor timing was unacceptable.
There was also a table with a child watching a tablet in the area. The volume of the tablet was louder than the music being played which meant that every table on the mezzanine could hear it. The staff should have asked them to turn it down or have the child use headphones so other tables could enjoy their experience.
The prices are also way too high, this is the price listed on their menue for a bottle of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc: Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand, btl 70.
In the liquor store the price is $21.99. Everyone knows all restaurants mark up the wine but by $48?
The food was decent but the service, atmosphere, and prices will keep us from ever going back.
