Simple Shingle Removal to Complete Rebuild
I recently needed maintenance or re-roofing of my home. I had four companies provide estimates and give me their expert opinion on the condition of the roof. One estimate involved RoofMax. RoofMax advised that I did not need a new roof and would extend the life of the roof by between 2-5 years. That meant that I would again have to do something about the roof in the near future. The three remaining companies all said that my home should be reroofed, providing pictures of the existing problems and estimates each within a range of $3,000. Each company was going to provide the same products and process to redo the roof. In the end, I selected NewHaus Roofing & Construction and today I believe I picked the right company for the job.
I initially met with one of two project managers, Niko, who was pleasant, professional, courteous, and explained what would be required to do the project. He also showed me samples of the products to be used. I was very impressed with his presentation and my meeting with Niko was ultimately the reason I chose NewHaus Construction.
The project was scheduled, shingles were removed from roof, the debris cleaned up and a quality control employee, Sam, came to my home. I would find out later that Sam was sent because the condition of my roof was far worse than anticipated and I was extremely upset. I had no water stains or leaking detected. However, the roof had two massive problems: (1) the original roof was not installed properly following the removal of a shake roof and (2) the solar panels that were on my roof were also not installed properly. Both situations resulted in the project morphing from a simple re-roofing to a rebuild of the entire roof. In turn, the cost increased more than triple the original bid.
I ultimately decided to go forward with the project and it has been completed, including the final inspection.
The team of employees working on my project including the project managers, Niko and Max, the quality control individual (Sam) and the entire crew of workers under the supervision of Hector did each of their jobs with professionalism. They arrived each day as the project progressed, were courteous, explained the process to complete the project and addressed all my concerns.
Today my roof looks clean, neat and the overall appearance is beautiful. The debris was removed from my property each day, leaving no signs of having had a crew of 4-7 individuals working on my project during the day.
