Not good service at all.

Not good service at all.
I ordered multiple items from rest and play the parent company and NFF and paid for next day delivery, some of it turned up almost a week later and two parcels are still missing since 26/05/24 it is now 05/06/24 and still no sign of them.
The stuff I've had is good quality but will not order from them again due to unreliable deliveries.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. Unfortunately I had to return my online order as it didn't fit, but Ben was polite and efficient. Fast response to my emails and I received the refund less than 48 hours after they received my return.

NewForestFootwear (NFF) - Grisport Cumbria Walking Shoes

For years I’ve been searching for walking shoes and boots that fit my wide and often damaged feet. Well, I found ‘em.

***The Grisports fit superbly well, right out of the box. Loadsa width and girth. Given the supple, waterproof, scuff-resistant leather I’m sure they’ll mould to match my two (or is it three?) foot shapes perfectly because any leather boot improves with a bit of use and proper care.

Something I hadn’t realised previously was that shoes and boots made in the Far East are sized for the locals' usually narrower feet whereas European made shoes and boots are usually made for wider European feet. Having absorbed that advice from NewForestFootwear I jumped at the opportunity to obtain the Italy-made Grisport Cumbria boots with the world-renowned VIBRAM soles. Italy seems to have won in the boot-making stakes.

They arrived today via NFF’s speedy and free delivery service through the Post Office and I am delighted with them. Well done NFF, Grisport, Vibram and Italy!

Superb pricing so don't pay over the odds elsewhere. NFF's pricing can't be beaten.

*I have no doubt that many have discovered that purchasing boots and shoes online is a risky business. Often stated sizes really aren’t standardised. Lengths, widths and girths vary significantly among different makes, even while they may state that they are of a specific UK, EU, USA or Australian size. The result is that you order in a size that fits well for your existing shoes, you could find that the new ones you ordered don't fit. If you want reliably sized boots and/or shoes for European-sized wide feet I don’t think any supplier or manufacturer can do much better than NFF and Grisport.

Grisport Exmoor Hiking Shoes

I purchased a pair of walking shoes online early September from New Forest Footwear based in Somerset which I paid using PayPal. On wearing the shoes 3-4 times they created terrible blisters on both my feet and badly bruised one of my toes I had to go and see my chiropodist. Thinking it may have been a one off event I wore them again only to find the same thing happening yet again and had to make another appointment at my chiropodist.

I purchased another pair of hiking shoes called Scarpa from Millets at the same time as I purchased my Exmoor hiking shoes from New Forest Footwear. Both newly purchased hiking shoes were exactly the same size the only difference being the Grisports Exmoor hiking shoes are terrible

There was clearly a problem with these Exmoor hiking shoes so I decided to return them to New Forest Footwear after speaking with someone called Ben on 22-11-2018. I also sent the photos of my feet showing blisters and blackened and bruised toes.

I request after they inspected the shoes they do one of the following as they were clearly not fit for purpose.

1. Exchange them for another make; if the cost was more I would be willing to pay the difference.
2. Make a full refund

Upon New Forest Footwear receiving the shoes they simply said they looked alright and were not going to do anything about my complaint, they even sent me a PayPal request for £3.50 for their return postage adding insult to injury.

I obtained a letter from my chiropodist confirming my condition and thus proving my dissatisfaction with this product is genuine.

In view that New Forest Footwear are not prepared to offer any solution I contacted the UK distributor of the product called Grisport (UK) based in Cramlington Northumberland. Grisport (UK) told me it was up to New Forest Footwear how they chose to handle the matter and they did not want to become involved which I thought was a poor attitude as they were in part responsible for distributing this damaging product.

These walking shoes have caused me no end of pain and suffering and unfortunately I am now in the process of having to take legal action against New Forest Footwear trading as Rest & Play Footwear Ltd

The lesson here is only purchase well known brands of footwear from national reputable suppliers like Millets, Blacks etc who have a policy that items sold being fit for purpose and a good after sales service without the need to take legal action to resolve basic retails or online sales issues.
