Design and survey went as planned. Installation delayed. Mid way through the installation it had to be stopped due to a manufacturing error - a hole was drilled too large. Three week delay for the factory to make a piece around 250mm x 250mm and drill a 30mm hole in it. Working day before the remedial installation day, appointment cancelled. Another wait of over three weeks. No phone calls, just an email. Calls go to voice mail. Shoddy service.

We are very pleased with our fitted bedroom furniture. The quality is excellent and all the people we have dealt with from design to implementation have been helpful and attentive to detail . Any queries have been answered promptly.

Good communication from the start.
Everything was made clear to me from the start and I understood my options.
I was updated along the way, by phone and email.
My fitting was over 2 days, the fitter had years of experience and knew what he was doing and kept me updated. He was very clean and professional.
A big thanks to Gary for all his hard work fitting our new Bannister and the rest of the Neville Johnson team.
The end result is something I am very happy with and has made a big difference to the look of my home.
I would recommend the company to anyone.

Everything with Neville Johnson was perfect, from the designer through to the installation. We love every aspect of our new office, top quality, I would 100% recommend.

Great design process and professional survey. Paid 90% of the £22k price tag and adhered to their list of requirements to the letter. However during install the units were either made not according to the agreed drawing or the wrong materials were sent - despite taking the initiative to check with the surveyor that potential problem areas were know and covered off - which was confirmed. Contacted the installation manager and asked if he would inspect on Good Friday and didn't get a respectful 'no'. Still waiting to be contacted for when work will be completed. Calls and emails are going unanswered. Worked with them before and considered the high price tag value given the service, sadly this experience has shattered that view.

Apalling. The design process was good. However, installation has been horrendous. The 2 day job, became a 3 day job then I was told the measurements of the unit were wrong. And would have to be adjusted. I’m going to end up with big ugly filler panels which I was unaware of. After chasing several times I’m now given an installation date a month later. This completely messes up all my other building work for what was a minor adjustment. All my clothes are piled up on the floor or in boxes literally gathering dust.
I’m currently recovering from major surgery so this is a nightmare for me. A situation which I had explained and was assured they would make the process simple for me.
A six week delay, a £20k price tag. An absolute joke. Do not waste your money.

We went to the Guildford showroom and the lady there was friendly and professional. She showed us around and explained all the options. We then said we'd like a design visit, so she took our details and said the designer will be in touch.
An entire week went by without any contact other than many marketing emails from Neville Johnson. I followed up by email and only then we received a response and were able to make an appointment for a design visit for the following Saturday.
Saturday came but no one showed up at the time of the appointment. I called the designer, no response. I called Neville Johnson and they said they didn't even have our design visit in their calendar. That was odd. Neville Johnson also tried to contact the designer, but no luck. A couple of hours later the designer finally called and offered an apology. I asked if we could reschedule for the week after and the designer said he'll check.
A few days passed and I sent a follow up email.
This is over three weeks ago now and we still have had no response and certainly no design visit arranged.
I am very surprised and I hadn't expected this from a company with a reputation such as Neville Johnson. Very disappointing to say the least. It seems they don't value new customers.

Very efficient from start to finish. The designer listened to what we wanted in the furniture and then proceeded to design the furniture on his lap top. The program he used, we were able to see the finished design in our lounge. Lots of choices in colours and woods. The fitter was friendly and very helpful. We are extremely pleased with our fitted furniture.

My friends agree that my new Neville Johnson bookcase has transformed my sitting room. Excellent craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a pleasant experience from start to finish.

We needed a corner fitted out for storage and display. The designer was full of ideas and good suggestions that improved our ideas. The installation was done carefully and expertly and we are delighted with the end result. It's exactly what we wanted and it has made big positive improvement to our lounge.

So pleased with our fitted bookcase from Neville Johnson. The whole process was really easy, from initial design to installation. We really appreciated the attention to detail from the designer and surveyor, making sure the bookcase suited our needs (including 1 particularly large book) and made the best use of the available space. Installation was quick and easy, the whole thing was done in less than a day, and other than the beautiful bookcase appearing you wouldn't have known any work had taken place as the installers tidied up everything and didn't leave a trace. Would highly recommend to anyone.

From the beginning, everyone we dealt with was professional and willing to answer all our questions. We chose one of their latest staircase designs and were extremely pleased with the results.
The initial worry and stresses we felt before installation were unfounded and the whole process went without a hitch.
Our installer, Lee Boswell, led us through everything he had to do and why. He was a true craftsman and a real perfectionist, and ensured that any remedial work for us was minimised. Genuinely impressed with his workmanship (and I'm extremely picky!).

The product is very good, but the craftsmanship could and should be a lot better considering what they advertise. Following installation and a negotiated discount off the final payment there was 30 hours of not only redecorating but making good woodwork and sealing up gaps below the upper Newel Post, not what I expected at all.

Replaced our balustrade. Caroline steered us to a fantastic design. Job was very professional from beginning to end and we are thrilled with the result. The materials used were of outstanding quality.

This Company were very professional and friendly from the first contact to the installation. The attention to detail in order to enable us to get what we wanted was second to none. The result is a fantastic looking refurbished staircase with minimum upheaval and disruption, helping to make the experience less stressful for us. We highly recommend this Company.

I’ve had a fantastic built in office installed by NJ. The design process was efficient, accommodating, and gave me lots of ideas. Installation was incredibly quick but high quality in a tricky room (sloped/curved ceilings and uneven floor). Very happy with the overall result, and especially Jennifer Porter (design consultant) and the fitters.

Excellent service from the first design visit to the final installation. Our design consultant Dani Barrie had a great vision and worked with us to incorporate many difficult twists and turns in our Grade II cottage, like wattle-and-daub ceilings and many out-of-shape beams - the result was a stunning dressing room, expertly installed by George and the team.

The quality, professionalism, communication and customer service of NJ is outstanding. Nothing embodies this more than the support, understanding, vision and creativity given to us in the design phase of our project. I must make special mention to Dani, who goes beyond what is expected of a designer, providing detail, transparency and integrity I’ve not previously seen. Her knowledge and experience has enabled us to meet several challenges with confidence and overcome issues where other companies had disappointed. A big thank you and recommendation, a quality company that you can trust and rely on, with expert staff who are with you every step of the way.

I had a design appointment booked with them. Over the phone, I asked about the expected cost of the media shelf and was told it varies based on several factors. They assured me the design visit was free, so I figured it was worth going ahead.

When the designer arrived, she asked if I had checked their website for design ideas. I mentioned my preference, and she immediately asked about my budget. Since I was just exploring options, I gave a random figure. She then stated that their media shelves are expensive and that there was no point in proceeding with the design if it was outside my budget. She made it clear that continuing would be a waste of her time.

She left, telling me to call her in a few months if I could afford their products.

Looking back, I can’t understand why she even came if she had no intention of doing her job. This is not the kind of experience one would expect from a company like Neville Johnson. They make big claims, but if this is their level of customer service, I wouldn’t choose them—regardless of whether they fit my budget or not.

Only given 1* as I can’t write the review without giving it 1*. We were visited - 90minutes late - by “design consultant” (who Neville Johnson have now censored me naming even though other design consultants are named in other reviews!! They are clearly more concerned about accurate negative reviews than customer care!!!) who was patronising, arrogant, condescending and very passive aggressive throughout the consultation to the point I nearly asked him to leave the house. He was dismissive of my child and huffed and puffed when my child spoke to me, clearly put out by it. Such a horrid little man. Ignored what we said. Quite clearly on his own fixed agenda. Absolutely zero ability to read clients language and body language. Breached GDPR by disclosing other clients details. Just everything a sales person shouldn’t be, even though he banged on about how he had been with Neville Johnson 20 yrs and had 60% returning clients. There must be several gullible people out there is all I can say to that!!!
