The finished product looks elegant and has certainly had the desired impact to my hall stairs and landing.

The salesman took his time to explain the product and ensure I was happy with my selection.

The designer was efficient - date booked for fitting had to change last minute by Neville’s - life happens, new date was only a couple of days later so not an issues.

Once the job was finished I did expect “some” making good to be required, however the gaps left below the upper newel post are significantly more than I anticipated, at present I have no idea how to address them. I did feel that the fitter was rushing to complete the job and get back on the road as they do seem to travel long distances to jobs.

Having contacted Neville Johnson I am informed that “removing and replacing newel posts, we would expect some surrounding damage such as this”, and then I am referred to the paperwork.

There was nothing during the sales pitch that left me believing that I should expect a gap ranging from 0.5cm to nearly 2cm wide across a distance of 13cm, where the upper newel post was removed, that now requires to be made good.

Thank you for your response - however I have heard nothing from your senior mgmt who are dealing with it as a priority !!!

I would not recommend Neville Johnson. The staff are friendly and in the end my units look good. However, they are not worth the money. Being a premium product you expect a good service. I was given three days for installation- however the bookers double booked so they had to split the installation team - which meant they weren’t able to complete the job. Not only did this happen but the products supplied were missing shelves and shelves were the wrong size (eg a glass shelf that was half the length it should be). They also delivered the wrong items and tried to install the wrong things without checking the plans (make sure you are checking as they install). Not only this but some of the plans were not possible so I had to accept a different end product. They did complete the installation but I had half installed units for a month. Also the installation manager tried to convince me that as they had part installed I needed to pay the remainder of the money due. When I pushed back and refused he accepted that I didn’t need to pay - so don’t let them convince you otherwise. All in all - a bit of a sub par experience and not worth the money.

Having had an attractive glass bannister installed some years ago we decided to repeat the process on another part of the staircase. As before, we were delighted with both the quality of the product and the skill and efficiency of the installation process. The staircase is the highly visible focal point of the ground floor of our small terrace house so it was important to get it right, and Neville Johnson has certainly succeeded again.

I designed a home-bar with them last year. They went through a thorough design scheme to ensure I was happy with the final design. This included home visits, easy customer service via email and WhatsApp as well as intricate 3D drawings. The install itself was faultless and was all finished within 2 days. Everything is high quality and is the centrepiece of my home. Everyone I dealt with was both friendly and helpful, I’d highly recommend.

I had some accidental damage to a five-year old oak staircase. Neville Johnson AfterCare assisted me. NJ sent a polisher, who used his skills to resolve the issues that I reported. The repair has restored the stairs to the intended appearance. A great experience and excellent customer care. Well done.

Neville Johnson are without a doubt an exceptional company to deal with. I really didn’t know what to expect as I didn’t know anybody who had used them before and I’m quite a perfectionist. The customer service from the beginning was exceptional. I struck lucky with the designer, Sophie, who came to my house within a week of me enquiring and was absolutely amazing with her ideas and design. I ordered that night and it was nothing but a positive experience from there. The installers were also absolutely great, arriving on time, very professional and quick and tidy. My dressing room is the most perfect, well-made and stunning room and is everything and more than I wanted. I’m beyond pleased that I chose Neville Johnson and will definitely use them again in the future. Thank you Sophie and Neville Johnson!

Our fitter, Lee Boswell did an amazing job of fitting the staircase and we would gladly have him in our home again.

From start to finish a brilliant experience. Our designer Sophie was exceptional in helping us realise the bespoke bookcase design with her own suggestions for materials and colours. Once agreed the installation was seamless in both the planning and execution. We couldn't be happier with the results. A final nod to the costs which were far less than anticipated when dealing with the company that has delivered such a quality service. We will be looking to use Neville Johnson in the future for some other projects.

Don’t use Neville Johnson unless you like poor initial planning with a designer who is distracted with “other jobs”, delays, and poor communication that includes responses like “We don’t know”. They pretend to be bespoke and elevated but they are really IKEA, and even then some impersonal operator at IKEA is still better at customer service than Neville Johnson. Not worth the money. Wish we had gone with another installer.

This is the second time we’ve used Neville Johnson. This time for fitted bedroom furniture.
The designer Marty was particularly good and very patient! As were the fitters.
I’m very happy with the finished job and all my clothes have fitted in perfectly.
Wouldn’t hesitate to use again!

We haven't had new furniture for a very long time & never fitted dining room units so were a little apprehensive BUT we need not have worried. From the initial online approach, receiving the brochure, initial designer visit & subsequent visit showing the ideas was absolutely brilliant. We didn't change anything at all, Laura had interpreted our wishes completely. Surveyor Luke was professional & informative. We had limited dates for installation which were agreed & Paul, the fitter arrived exactly on time & worked "his little socks" off to give us stunning units. Couldn't fault one single thing. We knew it wasn't going to be cheap but if you want the best, we would definitely recommend Neville Johnson.

We purchased a glass staircase from Neville Johnson, the design and installation was carried out very professionally and we were pleased with the product, unfortunately 7 years later we had a problem with one of the glass panels, this was not the fault of NJ. We contacted the Aftercare Team to rectify the fault, this was also completed very professionally and efficiently and restored to it's original install. We have never received a questionnaire from NJ requesting 'how did we perform' they know there is no need to ask, because yes they are a quality company looking after their customers.

From the outset, it was obvious we were dealing with a very professional company. Our enquiry was followed by a visit from a designer who was extremely friendly and asked what we wanted in our staircase restoration and guided us through various options before making very useful suggestion for the design. We later received another visit, this time from a surveyor who took detailed measurements which then resulted in detailed drawings which would be used to manufacture the component parts and aid the installation. An appointment was made for the fitter to come and install the component parts. He arrived exactly when promised and was very professional and friendly. Once finished, he gave us guidance on how to look after and new staircase and left having cleared away all debris. We then received a phone call to check we were totally happy with the work carried out, which we were. At all stages of the project we were kept informed of the progress of our order. We are very happy with the way our staircase has thoroughly enhanced the entrance to our house. We would have no hesitation in recommending Neville Johnson, they are not the cheapest, but you do get what you've paid for.

The finished staircase exceeded our expectations in terms of quality and finish. The fitters worked a long day and were dedicated to producing perfection. We are extremely pleased with the transformation of our landing area.

An amazing company to deal with. Firstly, I arranged an appointment with a designer. He came with lots of sample materials and design ideas. No pressure selling, just good ideas and advice. Then we were put in the hands of client services who guided us through the whole process from installation date, to job completion. Have to say the quality of craftsmanship is brilliant. So pleased with the end result. And also you get the safeguard of a 10 year guarantee. Any problems or queries are handled promptly and politely by client services. I would definitely recommend this company.

I was impressed by Neville Johnson from the very first contact with the company. The staircase designer and the surveyor were both extremely pleasant, very helpful and professional and finally Lee Boswell, who fitted the staircase, made a beautiful job. A wonderful craftsman and great worker.

We chose Neville Johnson, NJ, based on Internet-sourced images from projects that they had completed for others. At the outset, the designer from NJ, Simon Tcherniak, spent an entire morning with us understanding our needs, digesting our suggestions and offering gently his own creative perspective. By the end of his visit, he had sketched and priced what we had been evolving together and, frankly, it was exactly what we wanted albeit we didn't know that at the beginning of his visit! While we worked with other people within NJ, all of whom being very responsive and knowledgeable, Simon was a consistent, and reassuring, point of contact throughout the whole process. Indeed, not only was Simon the first person we met but he was also the final visitor from NJ: He spent considerable time with us at the end of the project ensuring we were happy with the final product. There were one or two hiccups during the manufacturing and installation process but NJ addressed them with urgency and we are delighted with the new installations in our home. Huge thanks to Simon and the NJ team; we would certainly recommend them to others who want bespoke furniture solutions that have been designed and finished to the highest standard.
