POOR response to RMA request

I tried to return the monocles for a refund. Two separate orders. I have one RMA, but they REFUSE to respond with the second RMA. I will have to get PayPal involved. I hope they don’t intentionally delay my refund like they have with other people here.

Purchased a prescription monocle it has…

Purchased a prescription monocle it has been over 13 days since I sent in my prescription. I have yet to receive anything from them. I contacted them and got the response that they were sorry for the delay. When I asked why the delay and when should I expect it? I got no response. Currently still waiting on something. If you are wondering the last response I got that they were forwarding the prescription to the ocular team or whatever. This is what they said last time before I waited 13+ days and got nothing. Until I get my monocle I will not change this review.

help desk never staffed

They claim they allow returns if the customer emails and receives a return authorization number (RAN) but the only contact is through their help desk which appears to never be staffed. Have contacted multiple times and still not one response outside their auto response. Do they ever respond to customers other than to take money?

Nearsights.com steals your money and merchandise

Nearsights monocles may steal your money and your returned merchandise, as they have done to me. I bought 4 items over a couple of weeks time. When I asked to return the first item, they replied with what they call a "Return Authorization Number" and had me send the item back to them, at my expense, and provide them with the UPS tracking number. They received the number and did not send me the $44.99 they owe me. A month ago, Nearsights received that item via UPS, and have not refunded my money to my credit card. I asked to return a second of the four items I bought, this one for $59.99, and three weeks later they have refused to respond to my emails. You can only try to contact them via email. But they don't care. They have stolen both my money and my merchandise. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH NEARSIGHTS.COM! I am working with my credit card company now, so hopefully I will at least get my money back.

shady practices - say they offer refunds; instead take back the item and never refund your money

tl;dr - they say they accept returns on their site, will authorize your return, and then never refund you the money and never answer your emails again even when shipping says they received the item. NOT TRUSTWORTHY. lost money on the item, the return shipping i paid for, and don't even have the item any more.

details:
I bought a monocle from them recently as a gift. The prescription was slightly off for the recipient so I wanted to return it. Their website says to email them to get the return authorization and mailing address. I did so within the 30 day return policy window, got the okay to return from them and the address (although it took them days to respond, despite an auto-response email that says they'll respond within 1 business day). They said to email them with the tracking info once shipped and they'd refund the money. I shipped it to them a day and a half later (due to a holiday the post office was closed the day after they'd emailed me, and they'd emailed me past the post office hours so I had to wait until after the holiday). I had to pay the return shipping and sent them the tracking info per their request. No response. It arrived to them a few days later according to tracking, yet they have not refunded my money as they said they would, and have not answered my multiple emails following up since (it's been over two weeks since they received the item, nearly three weeks since I emailed them the tracking info). They have no phone number listed on their site, only email. So basically I'm out the money I spent, the shipping I spent, and the item. If they weren't going to refund me, I could have offered the item to someone else so at least I didn't lose my money (for the item and shipping) and the item itself!
