Totally hopeless. Our group often reports fake websites, (mainly car sales) to the NCSC but they rarely get removed. They are a bunch of clueless idiots who should be sacked. People are losing £1,000s to scammers due to the incompetence of the NCSC.

I get a lot of scam emails. Often several a day. I try to forward as many of these emails to the NCSC as possible using the email address as instructed on their website and the ActionFraud website - phishing report page. The acknowledge that comes back includes some very interesting information as does their website.

But there seems to be a problem. You don't seem to be able to forward all emails to them. You only seem to be able to send one every 48 hours. But sometimes when I forward a scam email, they get bounced back by the NCSC email provider as the content had been identified as spam!! DUH!

When I try to contact them over the phone I select the options given and nothing happens. If they got this fixed I might be able to get somewhere. Also thevolunteer has not phoned me today.

Very bad cannot contact to get money back wondered why they asked how old was I must have been an easy target this was the advice Martin Lewis and Pierce Morgan on TV

I want to share my experience so others can avoid falling into the same trap. A guy named Jason Lombardi scammed me in what turned out to be a crypto scheme, and I’m still trying to figure out if there’s any way to recover my money. Here’s what happened:

This guy contacted me using unregistered phone numbers and seemed really professional. He pitched an investment opportunity through what he claimed was a legitimate cryptocurrency platform. Everything looked convincing—the website was well-made, the interface felt real, and he even showed fake “testimonials” of others who supposedly made a profit.

Long story short, I believed him. He walked me through the process of depositing funds into their platform. But as soon as I wanted to withdraw my money or check my balance, everything started to unravel. He stopped responding, and the platform became inaccessible. I contacted my bank, but they said they couldn’t help since it was crypto-related.

I feel so stupid for trusting him, but at the same time, these scams are so sophisticated that it’s hard to tell they’re fake until it’s too late. I’ve reported this to the authorities and some fraud recovery services, but I’m not optimistic about getting my money back.

Please, be careful if someone claiming to be Jason Lombardi or anyone you don’t know pitches you a crypto opportunity. Always double-check platforms and never transfer funds without doing your own research.

If anyone has advice or has gone through something similar, I’d really appreciate your thoughts. Is there anything else I can do to try to recover my money?
