Waiting for windscreen repairs

I've waited over 2 weeks to even get an appointment dispite ringing numerous times. Still waiting for an appointment. Also found out today that even though I was told my glass had been ordered twice. It has not been.

They are quick enough to take the money but seem unable to complete their end of the contract in a timely manner. Would not recommend.

Nationwide crash repair cowboys

All I can say is do not let your car be fixed by this company.had my car for 9 weeks come back 3 times with marks all around the car. Had to go to the financial ombudsman to get help putting my car right.got proof that my car did not go to them this bad, have photos and the appraisal document he walked run my car 2 times.my car was taken to Harlow, are all of the centres as bad?if anyone who will like to see how bad my car has come back to me you can look at the photos I've taken. It cost me £500 excess I had to pay. RSA who are may insurance with, I got from More then. How can you sit back and let the customers cars look so bad after fix by them and still give work to this company? Still had no phone call to put my car right, today I will get my own car engineer report. May also phone BBC watchdog, why take 8 more weeks for RSA to put my car right it's OK for them to take customers money.I had to pay £500 excess to look at my car each day with marks all around it.also my car came back with about 20 chips on the bonnet which has not been fix I have photos showing no marks on my bonnet also the appraisal on my car before Harlow drive it for repair.

Could not even get a repair date

Had a cracked windscreen and got put in touch with Nationwide Windscreens by my insurance company, Saga. They took all details include my debit card details to cover the excess and promised to ring back with a repair date. Didn't ring back so I contacted them again, promised they would ring back - failed to ring back again, so I contacted Saga, who were very apologetic and said this should not have happened and assured me Nationwide would ring me. Needless to say they didn't, contacted them again and was told they did not deal with Saga!!. I pointed out I had a job number, but that made no difference. Rang Saga again who decided not to bother with Nationwide and put me in touch with Auto Windscreens, who came the next day and replaced my windscreen quickly and efficiently. Rang Nationwide to confirm that my debit card details would be destroyed, said they would refund my excess although they have not taken anything out of my account!!!. They then rang back asking if I still wanted them to replace my windscreen.

I cannot comment on their standard of work as they were incapable of making an appointment to carry out the work.

This is a company to be avoided.

Parts tie wrapped on & lives put at risk via live wires

Absolutely disgusting
Parts have been tie wrapped on with plastic wraps !!! Bolts missing
Lights fitted incorrectly and the list is endless!
RSA insurance company sent my van to this joke of a garage after it was in an accident!
It had to be recovered over Christmas as RSA we’re closed
Then I got it recovered to my own garage
For an estimate!
It had to be dragged onto the recovery truck as the wheels were bent inwards after the crash !!!
Nationwide collected the vehicle as RSA insisted it went to them!
Please bare in mind that I am a roofer and this van is my living, I couldn’t hire one with a roof rack so I wasn’t earning.
Nationwide called and advised the steering and damage to my van had been done and it would be ready the next day.
I waited a week and called them back to be told their mechanic was off sick.
My van would be ready the next day though.
This is 6 weeks in total now and they finally called to ask for the wheel key !
Have they done any of these repairs if they don’t have this?
No they had not and admitted I had been lied to!
Now nationwide advised only th right hand side had been repaired,
I had a right chew on going back to my insistence company to get my left hand damage repaired
Then they tried to charge me for 2 wheel hubs
The van was finally delivered back
Parts were tie wrapped on with plastic tie wraps
Bolts missing
Pipes broken in 2
Head lamp wasn’t working etc
Right accident damage still showing
The man from nationwide came out and what a waste of time
Didn’t hear anything for weeks
Then hoopers an independent engineer cane as nationwide denied it was themselves !!!
Hang on
Who has fitted the parts ?
Micky mouse
Well yes obviously
Luckily the engineers report agreed with ourselves and I only hope RSA bill this company as you are appalling

THE WORST GARAGE I’VE EVER USED

THE WORST GARAGE I’VE EVER USED
I was forced to use them by my insurance company. It’s been many weeks since the accident and car has still not been repaired, they collected the car and kept it for days without even giving an estimate, so we had to ask for it back. We’ve tried to rebook for the repairs to be done, keep being promised a call back but they never bother. AVOID!

Passenger-side front damage to my…

Passenger-side front damage to my Peugeot 208 after an RTA. My Insurance company arranged the repair through the Portsmouth branch and provision of a hire car. Collection of my car and delivery of hire car went very smoothly; after that, it was all downhill. Excuse after excuse for delays; unable to get parts (Peugeot could not understand this) and the final one being time to get a damaged alloy wheel repaired. I asked why this could not have been done while the rest of the work was in progress and was told they like to have the car mobile during repair work. When I asked if it would not have been possible to put the spare wheel on, they were unable to give an answer.
In all, the repair took 9 weeks!
Two weeks after getting the car back, I took the car for service and MOT to my Peugeot main dealer and was advised that the replaced front shock absorber had been wrongly located on the stub axle!! I had this remedied by Peugeot.

Terrible experience DO NOT USE THEM ... EVER

Terrible experience DO NOT USE them under any circumstances.

The service is shockingly bad with MULTIPLE displays of arrogance and a COMPLETE couldn't care less attitude.

The quality of the work they have done is so unbelievably TERRIBLE that the original repair has had to be re-done ... yes re-done! They have however managed to damage the bodywork during the repair!

I have yet to see what a "bodge it and scarper" job they have done on this "repair" as the bodyshop manager thought the solution to sealant spillage was t-cut? The vehicle is in a worse condition than it was when it arrived for repair!

The only reason I have had to take my vehicle there and that I have had to tolerate such shoddy, disrespectful and lacklustre workmanship is that my insurers insisted I used them.

NEVER AGAIN!!!

The first thing I will be doing, if my vehicle is ever going to be ready for collection (almost weeks so far), is taking it to a proper, reputable manufacturers workshop for a full report on the vehicle and then I suspect a lengthy legal battle will commence.

Oh and PS the courtesy vehicle is scratched and marked - they will try to scam you for a repair bill and hold your car to ransom

Extortion for random additional costs when returning their courtesy car

They just extorted £78 out of me for making good a tiny scratch on the alloy wheel of their courtesy car. They wouldn’t return my own car keys to me until I paid it and it will cost them about £2 to male good as it was less than an inch long and they are crash repair experts!!!! It really was just normal run of the mill wear and tear but I had no choice but to pay

DO NOT USE!!

Had an accident in my motability car september last year. Nationwide were given the task of fixing damage to driver side door.

Few weeks pass and get the car back with airbag warning light on. Confusing as no airbags deployed in accident, anyway took car to my dealership who refused to fix it as nationwide where last to touch it.

They had it back on several occasions said they couldnt find a problem so eventually got Nissan to take it back and they stripped the car back to reveal an absolute disgrace of a car repair!!

They had left numerous wires loose and disconnected causing problems with my module and other parts of the car. Never put my seat back in correctly and best of all.

If i had been in an accident my airbags would NOT have deployed!!

Angry is an understatement kids often in car along with disabled mother. Besides that no one should have there car handed back to them like a death trap. Would avoid at all cost

This company could have cost me my life if i was involved in a accident!

Avoid Avoid Avoid

Crack windscreen had to go threw insurance. Phone up nationwide to be told I would have to wait upto 48hours for someone to arrange a booking. Waited the 48hours no phone call to arrange the fitting so phoned them to be told they will escalate the issue and they would get back to me straight away, waited another 5hours no one got in touch. Several phone calls later as they tend to keep you on hold for a long time, I was told they would put me threw to the booking department, don't know why they couldn't do this on the first phone call. Anyway earliest date they had was in another 11 days so basically I had to wait 2 weeks. I wasn't happy so cancelled the booking and went with national windscreens they where very pleasant and booked me a appointment straight away. Avoid the hassle call national windscreens to save time and headache.

Forced to use their motorglass department use through Hastings insurance. First appointment was cancelled due to scratched glass. Next appointment is a week on, fitter turns up and he's been given the wrong glass. Another weeks wait for the next slot, wait in all day, no fitter turns up. Very disappointed. Can't even get through on the phone to complain. Beware if using nationwide motorglass.

I wouldn't use this company EVER again…

I wouldn't use this company EVER again because their work is shambolic, I took my sons car in for repair after someone crashed into him and they didn't want to give him a courtesy car, I managed to get one because my insurance company ordered them to because they had to supply one within 24 hours.. it took FIVE days for them to supply him one.

Then once the car went in I got a call to say it was ready and when I got it back for my son the body repair was terrible, they left over spray on the black rubber and window panels,Didn't bother to spray inside of the new door leaving it two different colours,Left it without the headlights working,The back panel that they replaced they didn't spray the right colour, left the door handle off, left maskin tape on the windows and rubber, Sprayed over the black Gromit inside the boot, left little holes on the sealant so water could get in.

I eventually got the car back today after nearly EIGHT weeks for it to have not only an engine problem that they won't take ownership of and told me they won't look at it but it came back with still shoddy paintwork that looks like the car is 3 colours because it's not been blended in but on the passenger side of the car there's a panel bent and needs replacing.

This is the Ashton Under Lyne branch ( Mossley ) and after research i'm not the first to have big issues with this branch. I have contacted the insurance company to deal with and I will be contacting BBC's Watchdog because this shoddy workmanship shouldn't be allowed to happen.

I've also found out you can take your car into any garage of your choice if you have an accident if you tell the insurance company so please Never use this company to repair your car because they really don't care and their customer service is shocking.

My son has his car back but cannot use it because of this engine problem that occurred while it was in their garage.. Not happy at all with Nationwide Vehicle cannot repairs

I wouldn't have given even 1 star if it would have given me the option of ZERO.

As a disabled motability customer the…

As a disabled motability customer the process of waiting 8 weeks to have the rear end of my car repaired was a JOKE! Every time I rang them up they came up with another pathetic excuse as to why it wasn't ready, Then when I got a date for it to be returned they then took another 3 WEEKS on top before I finally got it.
They lie through their teeth as each person told me a different story [none of them matched] and they even stated that they were waiting for the new grill to arrive? WHY? It was the rear end of the car that was damaged!
RSA insurance who use these people as their priority repairers for motability cars, need to get their act together and take the contract away from them.
They caused me so much stress and pain whilst waiting for my car, they should never be able to touch another motability car!

DONT USE THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU SEEK DRAMA IN YOUR LIFE!

Unacceptably poor company.

I had the accident in the November - they picked up the car and had it for 42 days. In which time they phoned me with regular updates which were nothing more than weekly groans about how everything about repairing the car was “fiddly” (sorry, do I look like Mrs Renault?) and that everything is taking twice as long due to fitting it because it’s.......wait for it........”fiddly”. The car returned in early January (I know!) with the car thinking it’s in France (anyone would need a holiday after being in the hands of that company for that long) none of the sensors worked and the alarm subsequently going off every 3 minutes (much to the annoyance of my neighbours, several cats and the local tramp). I took it to another actual showroom who examined the car and said that the wiring in the car was damaged where they had forced the dash and hence why nothing tech-like worked in the car. It had to go back to nationwide (yes, i did cry!) and has been gone since end of January and we are practically middle of March and it is due back today. I know that Jesus fed 5,000 people with loaves and fishes, and Moses turned water into wine - but having my car returned in tip top condition from this totally inept company will be a true miracle!

Manager is about as useful as a flip flop in snow but to be fair if there isn’t an Oscar nomination in his name for the amount of acting in his performance. It’s one thing to tell me that the car has gone off to a showroom to be repaired, and then his staff confirm to me that THEY themselves are waiting for the part for my car sitting in their depot.

Throughout this process I was provided with a small car just enough room for me and my handbag. The purpose of why I have bigger cars is to transport my disabled aunt to various places and to get medical aids for her etc. After being presented with the car, I asked the manager how I was to fit a wheelchair and a immobile person into a low well car - I suppose strap her to the roof like the Pope? I got no reply - another failure in this company who call themselves the most highly regarded crash repair company in the UK. I have a word for that, and it begins with the same letter as.......fiddly.....

My sister has a terminal illness and just missed an appointment at hospital due to these people. I also lost 1 days wages due to their driver not being able to make a 4 hour window. Asked them to reimburse me and there attitude stank. I am now into hour 5 with no call from there driver to let me know where he is. I am taking this to a small claims court and will be logging a complaint with RSA morability who IMO should not let this company near people on mobility.

AVOID AT ALL COST

Where do I start. Grays Branch.
They gave me a Filthy dirty courtesy car inside and out . Took 4 weeks to repair my car and then sent it back to me still with scratch marks and yellow pen written on the paintwork , marking where the scratches are. I sent the car back. When I called a rude man Nathan told me that the insurers didn’t tell them about those scratches and accused me of them being old damage, questioning me how the accident occurred . Not apologising for pen written all over the bodywork. Since when did he become the insurer?? I ended up putting down the phone on him. They called a few days later insisting that the insurers said no to further work so I called the insurers and they said they are still waiting for the engineer to get back to them and they haven’t said no!
Today I had nationwide call again insisting they bring back my car unfinished. The insurers said let them bring the car back .
My car came back with 3/4 tank of fuel instead of a full tank and filthy dirty, they were meant to have washed it. The driver took me to fill up the car at least , after I moaned. While driving We noticed my sensor kept going off so still yet to tell whether it is a bodge job.
Well outcome is the insurers have given the go ahead for the work nationwide never did to be carried out and I am now insisting on using another company which my insurance have kindly dealt with !! They are a self assessing garage so they lost out!!
