Changed my tyres today at Guildford: Woodbridge Rd, Guildford GU1 1EG. Complicated works (R20, Nearly New Rims, RunFlat, tpms sensors), car with 3000 miles, a bit worried about scratches, sensors, etc
But all done just perfectly, quickly, no hassle. Reception guy is smart and effective. Clean: they use seat covers, i liked that.
Flawless work, rims and sensors ok, wheels well balanced. Tyres they supplied were 2415 (April 2024) which is quite good, not old.
The things i dont like: 1. Halfords "talanted managers" creared policy not to use non-halfords parts, so they could not put on my Mercedes OEM Tyre Pressure Sensors (in accordance with Halfords genius i must not use Mercedes parts, but to buy from Halfords - need to fire such policymakers, asap, in my opinion), and 2. Tyres were not clean. Clean car with ditry tyres - not so nice.
However, these are details, and these guys are good, Halfords dumbness is not their fault.

The polite staff and attentive to the customer. Told the the information I wanted for AC health check then regas if needed. AC all OK. Just regas. So that was a saving. The quickness of the techican doing the job. Also the manager gave 5% of as could not order on line. Exceptional. Highly RECOMMEND THEM.

Anlaby Road, Hull branch.
First visit was to get a new tyre, was booked in for an hour slot and when I arrived was informed I’d need to leave it with them for at least 3 hours. Major inconvenience but at least it got done.
Second visit I booked in online for air con regas. Arrived to be told there wasn’t any staff on that day that could do aircon, despite the booking system letting me book it. No call to cancel and save me a wasted trip. No apology, the member of staff just stood looking at me brain dead like I was the one supposed to come up with a solution. I asked if I could rebook it for the following day, she said no because she didn’t know what staff would be in. I asked how they manage to book anything in at all. She said “we don’t, it’s the online booking system”, then stood and continued to look vacant until I eventually said I suppose I’ll need a refund then?!
Abysmal system and service, wasted 40min round trip and for my ride back too. Definitely won’t be trying a third time!

Booked mobile tyres to be fitted time slot Saturday 10 - 12, paid fee, paid £300+ for tyres, then get a message 4 hours later saying mobile fitter can't make it in the morning but can do afternoon. So I can cancel but have to wait 3 to 5 days for money back, sorry but who's got a spare £300 to go elsewhere whilst waiting on refund. Even worse they have not even offered me a time in the afternoon it's just a case of waiting 5 hours (1 till 6) not even at home it's a storage so not comfortable. Very poor service and would advise all to avoid.

Visited the National Tyre Centre in Cannock today, outstanding service from Alex and Paul - you made a heavily pregnant women feel very assured and calm following a wild morning! Thanks for your promptness and excellent service, 10/10 would recommend.

Called 'on spec' to Crewe branch to have tyre safety checked. The reception I received was brilliant - prompt, very pleasant and importantly "no nonsense". The fitter made it quite clear that my tyres were fine and suggested that I would have no problem for at least 2 months, and that I was welcome to call back for a further check then. Very pleasing and reassuring

Dropped car off at 8:30am for service & MOT, took all day! i had to call at 3pm for an update, would not be ready for another hour, arrived to collect car at 4pm, told not ready for another half hour. I could see the car on ramps still and the technician too busty chatting on his phone instead of working on my car. Poor service.

My car tyre had a puncture and they didn’t want to do it because my tyre were older than 5yrs, my MOT cleared 6months back.

They told me to replace my tyres, not sure which regulations says to replace tyre after 5yrs.

Disappointing!!!

These guys are amazing. They answer the phone promptly, the appointments are within a few days and the prices & workmanship are very good

Got an oil service on my car and dropped it off. staff are very polite and respective upon arrival and I will continously use them in the future for anything will recomend

Take my car there for its MOT, never had any problems at all. Have taken my car there this week, with a problem, unfortunately can’t be fixed with them as it is a job for an Auto Electrician. The guys there are great, and very helpful even when they are mad busy and the weather is hot 👍🏼

I can confirm poor reviews of others. Avoid this Durham branch. Paid a lot of money for good quality tyres a few years back. Got the tyres installed and never thought twice about it until some time later got my car serviced somewhere else and told that all tyres where the wrong size i.e. too small for the wheels and already in the process of ripping from the inside. It never occured to me to actually check if they fitted the correct size as I assumed I was dealing with professionals, not crooks. My mistake. Can only warn others to avoid them as trusting them may cost you way more than money.

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received.

I took my car to this garage because I knew something wasn’t right and before i left asked for it to be checked. When I returned to collect it a couple of hours later, I was told there was nothing wrong with the car. To make matters worse, the member of staff handing me my keys made a joke about “the car with no problems. Instead of feeling reassured, I felt embarrassed and that my concerns were being dismissed rather than taken seriously.
Unfortunately, just a few hours later, the first time I drove the car after leaving the garage, an error warning appeared. This raises serious questions about how thoroughly my car was actually inspected. While I understand that not every fault can be diagnosed immediately, I would have expected a proper investigation rather than being told everything was fine.
The combination of dismissive customer service and what appears to have been an inadequate inspection has left me with very little confidence in this garage. I went there looking for professional advice and peace of mind, but instead I left feeling ignored and, shortly afterwards, found myself dealing with the very problem I had asked them to investigate.
I would not recommend this garage based on my experience.

I visited your Stourbridge garage on Friday around 5:40pm with a nail in my tyre. It was barely looked at and I was told “you’ll need a new tyre” and to come back the next day.

No proper inspection, no care, just dismissed.

I took the nail out myself afterwards and the tyre is absolutely fine.

This is the second poor experience I’ve had with you. The service is unacceptable and I won’t be returning.

I had my Honda Civic serviced at the National Tyres and Autocare Grays branch (London Road) on 28th January (Job no. 499/9014812). They removed my front engine undertray (splash shield) and forgot to refit it. I only noticed it was missing in June during a tyre change. Everything makes sense now: during my MOT test in March, the inspector flagged an advisory for an oil leak (DVSA code 8.4.1 - "oil leak but not expensive"). This area was always hidden before. It proves National Tyres left the protective tray off back in January, leaving my engine completely exposed.I emailed this branch on 8th June to ask politely if it was still in the workshop, but they are completely ignoring me for THREE WEEKS. I have also escalated this to Head Office and left a country-wide Trustpilot review on 22nd June. Absolutely ZERO response to anything. This issue needs to be resolved immediately. They need to either source and refit a replacement part or compensate me for the damage. Avoid this careless place.

I booked and paid for tyres to be fitted on my drive, ready for approaching MOT.. Over period of 6 days, 3 separate appointments cancelled just hours before fitting time.. Called up to request refund, not even an apololgy.. Absolutely shocking service, would never use again! Both my partner and I, have had to move loads of appointments around, just to be home.. Its fitting tyres fgs..

From a large brand, you would expect and apology.. Awful

Had my brake pads and disks front and back done a few months ago through a garage I know. booked for my mot here a couple days ago, failed on parking brake efficiency which they said was 13% and it should be above 16%. They said they could have a look at what the problem could be, so I left it with them all day and got a call back saying everything looks fine and they don’t know what the problem is but the only way they can fix it is if they change the pads, how can they fix a problem if they don’t know what the problem is?? I told them I can take it to the garage who did my brake and see what they say, they tested the brakes and came back 26%, way above the limit. I called national tires back to book a retest and told them I had them tested at 26% and asked what the problem was when it got 13%. The guy got very defensive and argumentative, same one who is always at the front desk, no customer service, just very blunt. But I got it booked for a retest for today, just had it done and it passed even though I had nothing done to it. Didn’t want to have another argument about what happened with the first test but very bad experience. Wasted 2 days of my time with what should have been an hour MOT. And wasted £20 on taxis while I was waiting for them to check the “issues” which were non existent

Exceptional customer service and quality! Turned our order around quickly, staff are amazing and couldn’t do enough for us! A perfect experience all around cannot recommend them highly enough

I took my car in for a free health check and explained I was worried about a noise my car was making. The guys did a thorough check of the car and reassured me that everything was fine. Great service
