Disgusting

Disgusting. The new format is absolutely bollocks. I’ve been playing since the National Lottery started in 1994, and now they keep adding more numbers.

In 2015 they increased it from 49 to 59 numbers, making it harder to win, and now they’ve added even more.

What was wrong with the original format? After playing since the very start, this new setup has completely ruined it for me.

I’m packing it in this week. 🎟️🤬

Allwyn have destroyed the National Lottery

Allwyn , have absolutely killed the National Lottery...complete shambles.

The prize breakdowns in EuroMillions have always been shocking, but now the Lotto had been totally devalued...

The 2 shots at winning with reduced prizes does NOT work and you will lose all your custom.
£1 for 2, £10 for 3, £50 for 4 ...an absolute sham.

The 2 number winning line should be completely abolished anyway...it did spoil the Rollover Draws with Camelot .

All this to create a "GREED" Powerball, sharing with USA....what is that about....and apparently has also reduced charitable donations to UK charities.

When my subscription runs out I will be stopping playing all lotto games...and I also have 2 syndicates running, which will be run down within the next few weeks.

Poorest lottery Operation in the world...

:-(

What a rip off

What a rip off, used to play weekly when it was a £1 which i recon alot more would have played at that, now rarely play, bought a ticket £2 for last weekend, got 2 numbers and won £1, at least the minimum for 2 you'd think would be at least £2 or a free ticket, not bothering again, put the money you would have spent in a jar and dont waste your money.

Hi, Kath. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

Players can now win more often and can win more than once in a single night. Over a year, regular players are expected to see a net increase in prize money for the same ticket price.

The prize for matching two main numbers in a single round will now be £1 cash prize, which will give players more flexibility and choice in how to spend their win. Players can win this 'Match 2' prize – and any other prize for that matter – twice on one single £2 Lotto line.

Hi Mike, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

The updated Lotto game offers 2 opportunities to win £1M+ prizes in every draw. To make that possible, some lower tier prizes are smaller. Since the changes were made to Lotto, we have made 56 new millionaires.

The updated Lotto game now gives players 2 chances to win prizes of £1 million or more in every draw for the same ticket price. This has meant reducing some of the lower-tier prizes. Since these changes were introduced, Lotto has created 56 new millionaires.

DID YOU THINK WE WOULDNT NOTICE!

DID YOU THINK WE WOULDNT NOTICE!

As others have said the new format doesn’t work and is in my opinion fraudulent on players.

The jackpot for the Lotto and Lotto hotpicks draws have now been divided in half across the ‘2 chances to win’ lines.

You cannot select different numbers between the ‘two chances’ lines so only have the same numbers for both chances.

If by some miracle you won the jackpot you would only win half of what it was before the changes were made and the second guess is pointless.

Millions of loyal players like me every week and you’ve made it worse. Terrible.

Hi NJ, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

The Lotto jackpot hasn't been divided in half. Under the new format, your numbers are entered into 2 separate rounds, each with independently drawn winning numbers, giving you 2 chances to win on each draw night. If only 1 person were to match the 6 winning main numbers across both rounds, then they would take the full jackpot amount.

There have been some changes made to the Lotto HotPicks prize amounts, however, like Lotto, you get 2 chances to win for the same ticket cost.

Paying prizes of £1? Stupid

The new lottery is ridiculous - get message saying won a prize only to find it's £1 - not worth the effort must cost them more to pay it to me and the rest of the prize structure is beyond stupid. The whole idea is to at least win something worthwhile even a fiver or a tenner buys you something. Have played since the very first draw but think I will take my money elsewhere now.

Bring back Camelot

The old Camelot lottery jackpot on the first draw if on a Saturday was approx £3.8m. We will have had 2draws up to and including next wed (sat, wed) and the jackpot will still only reach £2.8m. The old jackpot for a sat,wed on Camelot would have been around £5m. This new lotto is a joke. At least I won a pound this weekend 🙄. Get rid of this company and bring back Camelot, the new lottery prizes are a complete rip off.

Starting Saturday prize reduction

So now the starting Saturday prize is being capped at £2m (irrespective of how many tickets are bought). This following on from the mean minded moves to reduce the 'minor' prizes. (Please, Allwyn don't tell me about the double draw - it doesn't excite anyone). The fun and fantasy has been drained out by Allwyn - I only hope they lose at the next bidding round.

Hi Susan, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on Trustpilot.

The new Lotto format and the old version of the game are not like-for-like in terms of how the estimated jackpots are calculated and how the prize fund is allocated. For example, once the Lotto jackpot is won on the new format, the next starting jackpot will always be estimated at £2m for the next draw.

Following the changes made to Lotto in June, we have created 56 new millionaires!

I think Alwyn is making an awful lot of money on the lottery now. The prize money is dire and the percentage to charitable causes is even lower. Wake up people. Someone is getting very rich for low prize money.

The returns to good causes hasn't lowered, our goal is to double weekly returns from £30M to £60M by 2034, with £33M a week currently raised.

If have emailed (retained)

If have emailed (retained) the Allwyn national lottery operators with regards the newly introduced powerball ! Received their standard we're very busy reply and will answer ! But nothing yet ! I asked because the powerball jackpot is paid over 30 years ! Who gets the interest on the balance ? I suspect that Allwyn receive the full amount from the powerball operators and cream off the interest ! Will wait for their answer which I'm not expecting
I also note the lotto jackpot roll over amount onto next play day has more than halved ! I'm guessing their recent changes disguised as an update have strained their purse strings and this has been passed onto the players ?
Allwyn are no longer a trustworthy organisation IMO

I didn't think it could get much worse…

I didn't think it could get much worse but the latest changes are awful. This week's jackpot was a only 2 million for a Saturday. And the silly prize structure is so confusing. Wow I won a pound. The whole point of the lottery is for people like me winning a life changing prize so we hopefully don't have to work again. Seriously thinking of stopping it after playing from day one.
