Shelsha J. was absolutely fantastic. My WordPress site was down with an HTTP 500 error after my hosting account hit its disk quota and my `wp-config.php` file was corrupted to 0 bytes. I was extrem... See more

Absolute worst, bought a few SSL certificates, couldnt get any of them to be active regardless of all the dns and cpanel steps. Spent weeks and finally cancelled my orders and refunded 1 out of 4 certificates I bought. Never again. Scam.
Update: Namecheap team reached out to me explained to me why I only got refund for 1 ssl certificate when I paid for 4 and non of them could be verified and activate. I’m not going to waste time debating how terrible their customer policy is. Bunch of clowns.

Forcing action to "top-off" account.
This is the latest problem with Namecheap. I have a card on file and they have a pending charge when I checked online. BUT there's a "problem processing" so I should manually top-off the account and make sure there's enough to cover my annual charges.

I needed help accessing my WP dashboard, and once I found the live chat link in the NameCheap Help Center, I was connected with a quick, knowledgeable person who helped me get what I needed.

I am not an expert with PC or internet, but when I have problems I always get a helping hand with the guy in chat section. I dont know how I could solve this without these people ...
Thank you

The NameCheap team is very responsive, helpful, and knowledgeable. I went through a very long process of moving first domains to NameCheap , then email, then websites. In the process I got things thoroughly messed up. The NameCheap staff patiently worked through it with me.

I am on my second time recovering my account. I do not know how good their security measures are because they can't explain to me why this happened twice. I save my username and login info on a keychain, so it is not user error. Namecheap literally responds with "We don't recognize the username or email". Then I have to wait for 30 to 45 minutes two get passed on from agent to agent. I wish I was an expert in web development so I could easily transfer my domain and services to a different company.

Fast and informative response, with clear and concise information.
When it comes to customer service, as a society, we have come to expect, well, none. Whether it's endless phone queues, frustrating AI chatbots, circular Knowledge Base self-help support portals, support emails that won't be answered for a week (if at all), or a phone number that a clueless, powerless representative will answer after making you wait for an hour - terrible-to-non-existent customer service has become the norm.
Which is why namecheap is so remarkable. Their customer service is fantastic. Their Chat Support bot will first triage your problem, and then it routes you to a human who has the expertise and authority to ACTUALLY HELP YOU. You get routed quickly with no run around, no stalling, just genuinely helpful human assistance, promptly.
I have used their customer service so many times for fussy technical stuff, and their rep sticks with me until we figure it out - and we always do figure it out. Every. Single. Time.
The reps are friendly and knowledgeable and responsive. I never feel stupid asking stupid questions. lol.
Plus their prices are so reasonable, especially considering the level of service they have available.
I had all my domains and hosting moved over to namecheap and this is where they are going to stay. I highly recommend this company to anybody.

My companies address and registration number is part of the content of a scam website hosted by Namecheap! Namecheap appears to be the default hosting provider for scammers and fraudsters, given that their security team is not actively policing the creation of websites on their platform.
If Namecheap had taken the time to search the scammer company, they would have found no registration number and if they had searched the registration number provided, they would have found my company occupying the address quoted.
It would seem they don't care as they have inadequate systems in place to eliminate phishing, brand impersonation, company registration impersonation, address impersonation etc. ad-infinitum!
Obviously, money talks! It would seem that so long as the scammer pays for their server, Namecheap will be happy to host these scam websites with complete impunity.
I would recommend everyone avoid them like the plague.

"Locked account over legitimate $91 purchase — avoid"
Purchased two domain registrations using a prepaid Mastercard. Account immediately locked by their "risk management" team. Provided full order details — order number, transaction ID, card last 4, purchase date. They then demanded a payment descriptor from a prepaid card (impossible — prepaid cards don't generate descriptors) and then demanded government-issued photo ID for a $91 domain purchase.
Multiple emails over 48+ hours. Ticket NC-KRF-1562. Still unresolved.
Their fraud system is broken, their support is useless, and their verification process is designed to be impossible to complete. Avoid Namecheap entirely — use Cloudflare Registrar or Namesilo instead.
