DBA AI and Machine Learning
I’m currently taking the DBA with a focus on AI and machine learning in a business context. While I’ve already worked with these technologies in a leadership role, particularly in treasury innovation within banking, the programme has been extremely valuable in broadening my perspective.
My professional experience has mainly been in financial services applications, whereas the programme combines teaching and research to expose participants to a much wider range of frameworks, industries, and practical use cases. It has significantly expanded my understanding of how AI and machine learning can support decision-making and innovation more broadly.
Overall, it complements my professional experience very well by adding depth and a broader perspective to work I’m already involved in.

Review for UT AI for leaders program & Kamakshi Kaushish
Review for Kamakshi Kaushish – UT AI for Leaders Program
I had the privilege of working with Kamakshi Kaushish as my advisor during the University of Texas AI for Leaders postgraduate program delivered through Great Learning, and I cannot recommend her and the program highly enough.
From day one, Kamakshi demonstrated exceptional professionalism, responsiveness, and a genuine commitment to ensuring that every participant received maximum value from the program. Her communication was consistently proactive and thoughtful, and she made herself available for guidance, feedback, and one-on-one support throughout the course.
What truly stood out was her hands-on approach. She didn’t simply check boxes or manage logistics—she actively helped guide the learning journey, providing meaningful feedback during key milestones and ensuring we stayed focused on applying the concepts in practical, real-world ways.
For someone like me who is actively building AI initiatives in the market, her support made a significant difference in translating academic material into actionable insights.
Kamakshi’s dedication, follow-through, and genuine investment in student success made the entire experience one of the best continuing education programs I’ve participated in.
If you are considering any of the outstanding programs offered through The University of Texas and Great Learning, you will be in excellent hands working with Kamakshi.
Five stars. Highly recommended the program.

AI for Leaders program feedback
I was delighted with both the content and organisation of the AI for Leaders program from University of Texas and Great Learning. Good pacing, layering material from basics to complex topics, good quality of the video lessons, assignments and industry sessions, very handy playform with an app (all materials, announcements and reminders in one place) and constant program manager support over messengers. Thank you!

AI in Healthcare Review
I enjoyed taking the AI in Healthcare course because although I am not currently working in an institution that is implementing AI tools, the course has enabled me to learn the relevant skills and considerations for a future AI implementation project. The instructors are also both leaders in the field and were helpful in effectively teaching the material.

JHU Applied Generative AI
JHU Applied Generative AI — Trustpilot Review
Program: JHU Applied Generative AI
1. Tell us about yourself
I taught in a Maryland private school, my favorite niche being 6th-grade science. In 1987 I moved overseas and taught in International Schools in Yokohama, Japan and Caracas, Venezuela. I returned to the U.S. in 1995, retiring from public schools in 2017. That was a pivotal year when students and teachers moved from books to tablet devices.
2. What motivated you to choose this program?
My motivation for applying for the JHU Applied Generative AI program was to contribute to an ESL setting in international schools, somehow, someway. About halfway through the program, the JHU course gave me enough confidence to build an HTML vocabulary builder for Korean speakers. I used that tool as a template for a Japanese-English version focusing on manga and gaming vocabulary. The JHU program gave me enough confidence to just keep at it. I want to continue exploring the ESL arena somehow.
3. How was your learning experience?
Like learning to sail, it was challenging at first, but you learn by making mistakes. Last Fall, the only Python I knew was living in the Amazon rain forest. I imagined writing code was only for kids who grew up with it — I couldn’t spell "algorithm " without spellcheck. When Dr. McCullough bolted some training wheels on us after his first lesson ("Hello world"), he gave my stubbornness and curiosity some traction. I also recorded the lectures on Otter, summarized them, created SVG diagrams, and just kept going. I learned that step #1 for me is always "to find out what I don't know that I don't know."
4. What was your favorite part of the program?
My favorite part of the program was that first project — E-Commerce support with agentic AI. I just kept asking Claude "What are we doing here?" Referring back to summaries of the lectures helped most. The class projects were challenging but the Saturday discussions were very helpful.
5. What were your key learning outcomes/takeaways?
My key learning outcomes and takeaways:
A) The instructors were willing to meet us where we were and slow-walk us until we got our footing again.
B) We could stop and ask ChatGPT or Claude to zoom out and give us a 30,000-foot view of the forest before entering the process again.
6. What would you tell someone considering this program?
If you are considering this program, I would simply say: "You will have to learn this stuff anyway — so why not work with folks who are immersed in the consulting side of AI? Most folks in this as a career will be either too busy or unable to meet you at your level. Teaching is knowing where the students are more than what you know. Why not listen to the JHU faculty stories while you can?" The faculty in the JHU Applied Generative AI program generously share their experience with corporations, agencies, and their own projects. Their goal seems to be to meet you where you are as you problem-solve.
