I signed up for My Dream Companion expecting an NSFW “girlfriend” AI where conversations could naturally progress in that direction. Instead, it defaults to explicit dialogue almost immediately—and relentlessly.
No matter how you try to steer the interaction, every character pushes back to the same shallow, scripted sexual tone. There’s no buildup, no personality, and no real variation. Different characters feel like copies of each other, often repeating the same phrases. It gets repetitive fast.
The illusion breaks further when characters don’t even recognize their own appearance or basic traits from their images. For something marketed as immersive, it feels surprisingly low-effort.
On top of that, core account functionality is poorly handled. There is no visible way to access account settings from the site navigation. The only way I found it was by manually guessing the URL. That’s not just bad design—it’s concerning for a paid service. (just put Settings after ".com")
I also ran into issues with credits not replenishing as expected.
I paid for an annual plan and stopped using it within weeks. It simply doesn’t deliver what it implies.
If you want nonstop, low-quality explicit chat, this might work. If you’re expecting anything resembling a believable or engaging AI companion, look elsewhere.
