I’m extremely disappointed with my recent order. I placed it on Saturday expecting it to arrive by Friday, as I need it for a baby shower this weekend. I’ve now been told the package won’t even be shipped until next week, making it completely useless for the occasion.
I’ve ordered from My1stYears several times before, and I’m starting to question why I keep coming back. While the personalised products themselves are lovely, the delivery times are consistently unreliable. Advertising 3–5 day UK delivery but actually taking up to two weeks is completely unacceptable.
I contacted customer services, but unfortunately the response from Ewelina was unhelpful. I was simply told there are delays and that my order wouldn’t arrive within the stated timeframe and then abruptly ended the conversation with me. These delays were not communicated at the point of purchase, and no effort was made to resolve the issue….no option to expedite shipping or even a goodwill gesture such as a discount on next-day delivery.
Overall, there seems to be a real lack of accountability. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

The customer service at My 1st Year's is excellent. My box arrived damaged but it was replaced quickly and I received it the next day. Shannon from the Customer Service team was so helpful and I cannot thank her enough as I needed the box for my grandson's 1st birthday. The products at My 1st Years are excellent quality and the personalisation makes them that extra special. Well done to a great company. I will definitely be purchasing again.

I ordered an item as a birthday present and received no updates. Going on the website my order should arrive tomorrow but that is not going to happen. I emailed and I got a response stating they have currently had a busy period and are behind on orders and maybe I should have considered next day delivery. In respect of the website stating 3-5 days shipping, I knew I had enough time before the recipients birthday but this is now looking highly unlikely. There was nothing to say when I placed my order that they were currently experiencing delays. This is my first order with this company and I am not happy, so it is unlikely I will use this company again.

Ordered an item and paid £7.99 for next day delivery, on the day of delivery get an email from EVRI saying my deli very will be delayed.
So messaged My1stYears online through their chat system, and currently says replying under 4 mins, however I have messaged 37 mins ago and still have not had a response.
So I gave them a call and spoke to their customer service, and requested for my Next Day Delivery charge of £7.99 to be refunded as I did not get it next day and still waiting. Person on the phone said this has been done, but I have not received any confirmation of this whatsoever.
Communication is very poor here and I ordered the item on 13/04/26 with Next day delivery for it to be delivered on 14/04/26. I need this item for the 17/04/26 however it is currently 15/04/26 and I have not received it yet and not getting any good communication from them.
Honestly im sure there are other better companies to order from for childs 1st years where they would actually put effort into it to make it special. At this rate I dont have faith in this company delivering my item before the date that I need it for which will really ruin this occasion.

I’m extremely disappointed with this company’s service. I placed my order two weeks ago with a stated processing and delivery time of 3–5 working days, yet I received no updates whatsoever. After chasing them, I was told it would be handled within 72 working hours but again, nothing happened.
I’ve now had to follow up multiple times just to get basic information, which is completely unacceptable. The lack of communication, missed timelines, and failure to meet their own promises shows a serious disregard for customers. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.

I’m really disappointed with the service from myfirstyears. I placed an order almost a week ago, and the order status has not moved beyond “Picking”. According to the delivery timeline, the item is meant to be delivered tomorrow, which now seems highly unlikely.
What’s more frustrating is the lack of customer support. I’ve tried contacting their customer care multiple times via both phone and live chat, but I’ve received no response at all.
For a brand that positions itself as premium, this level of communication and order handling is unacceptable. I expected far better transparency and customer support.

I understand that the Easter period and Bank Holidays can be busy for businesses, and that increased order volumes may cause delays. However, there was no prior communication or notice on the My First Years website to advise customers that this was a particularly busy period or that delivery times would be extended. Had this been communicated clearly at the point of purchase, I would have been able to make a more informed decision.
I chose Standard Delivery because the website states that orders are delivered within 5 working days, and I was completely comfortable with that timeframe. My expectations were based solely on the delivery information provided at the time of ordering.
What I found disappointing was the response from customer service suggesting that I should have selected Express or Next Day delivery if I needed the order sooner. The issue is not that I expected unusually fast delivery, but that My First Years was unable to meet its own stated delivery timeframe without any advance communication. Given this, I would have expected some responsibility to be taken such as arranging faster delivery at no extra cost rather than being advised after the fact to pay extra for express delivery.
Overall, I am really unhappy with the response I received, as it places the responsibility on the customer rather than acknowledging the lack of communication and failure to meet advertised delivery timelines.

I received 2 boxes of the robe/towel/comforter set as a gift from this company - one was white and it was beautiful, the other one was pink and also lovely but the shade of the towel was different to the robe. Still usable and lovely
HOWEVER I used the website to make an order for a friend’s daughter who is turning 2. She was expecting her parcel but they have had delays. Contacted customer service and spoke to Ewelina - didn’t really help with a solution just offered £5 store credit to be used in 6 months. I would have preferred quicker delivery- lied to me saying they can’t expedite delivery because their process is automated and it would be dispatched within 72 hours from my contact (which was 5 days after order), then up to another 5 days for delivery… whilst another review below says they expedited delivery for them. No idea why customer service is so poor when they are dealing with people who are spending their money to buy something sweet. I would have bought again as I liked the product but with how poor the service is, steer clear and spend your money with Johnny’s sister instead they also do customised products and I bought with them last year

I am very disappointed by this website. I’ve order two backpacks for a kid’s birthday. It says delivered 5 working days. However the order never came and I haven’t received the birthday gift on the day and makes me very embarrassed. 6 days has passed now and the customer service is like a fake hotline that no ones picks up the phone. I’ve purchased from My 1st Years many times before …loving the quality, personalisation, choice of products and service for the special little ones in our life. This time the gifts were for a very precious little girl. Unfortunately the courier mislaid our parcel and over the Easter period we unfortunately struggled to get any answers from the courier company regarding what was happening. After the BH we were able to have My 1st Years assistance from Tuesday in the form of Ewelina. We were kept informed while they investigated and arranged for replacements to be delivered safely today. Thank you

Krisha offered excellent customer service and dealt with the problem extremely fast. We are awaiting for the new bunny to come and hopefully no holes this time. Thank you Krisha

VERY disappointed. I had high hopes for this company. Item was meant to arrive on the 5th of April we are now on the 9th and all I keep getting is an apology. No chase up no nothing. My son starts nursery in 2 days and now I have to rush and find a replacement. WILL NEVER USE AGAIN!

Ordered something to be sent to a friend who had just had a baby. I wanted it to get there as quickly as possible, but nearly a week after placing the order, it wasn’t even in production yet.
I e mailed to ask to cancel the order and asked for a refund, which to be fair they replied to quickly and have said a refund will be made.
Great customer service, just a shame they aren’t able to get orders out more quickly.

I made the mistake of spelling my personalised name wrong and contacted the company. Geraldine was absolutely brilliant and arranged for a no cost replacement which was received very quickly. I can honestly say that this company offers first class service along with their wonderful products. Many companies could learn a lot from this. Excellent customer service.
