I reached out to Multinor to translate some documents I needed for my marriage application. I thought the company was based in Oslo, but they connected me with a translator based in Poland. Unfortunately, that wasn't the best advice because I needed the original documents and time was extremely important. The final price, including postage, was higher than the price for the same translation in Norway. I paid for the service, but I didn't use the translation. Instead, I found another translator who was able to prepare the document within two days.
For a few days, I was really stressed because I was worried I wouldn't be able to deliver the translation that the Oslo authority needed. I even considered paying for a courier to deliver the documents, but the price and the risk of losing them was too high. I was also concerned that the documents wouldn't be accepted because the translator only saw a copy of them, and as I later found out, the documents had to be translated from the original (pictures and emails don't count as original documents). I thought I would receive some advice along the way, but unfortunately, that didn't happen.
