I purchased a policy on the understanding that it was flexible and I could change dates in line with the visa of visit for my elderly mother in law being granted. I was told that if the visa was granted after a change in her age there would be a small increase - turned out to be an additional 25% charge.
Eventually got a begrudging apology - although no break on the cost. I explained the visa was delayed and then was told that they would not go live with the policy and I could just call anytime pay the difference and activate. Visa is granted, I call and they told me the policy had already gone into effect. I am looking into this with the board of trade - not even sure this is not some scam organization?

I am impressed how responsive, quick, and accommodating the MSH International staff have been in responding to my requests (e.g. letter of guarantee, reimbursements). I also appreciate their effective referral system where they are quick and efficient in referring me to certain MSH departments responsible for my requests. Really well done!

Continues to mismanage claims. Lengthy process and disorganised. Staff working remotely and calls are frequently disconnected and no one calls you back! No notes left on record so the patient has to repeat the issue every time you call for an update. Claim is still pending and several weeks after you submit, they ask for another document. Like we are all lying about our medical issues! Absolutely no confidence in this company. Causing the patient unnecessary stress and anxiety. My claim is still not resolved and service is not improved despite complaints! Sorry but this is unacceptable service.

This issue that I am writing this review on is currently ongoing. I have submitted a claim in January 2023 and to this date [13.03.2023] have only received e-mails that states MSH is currently reviewing the claim, or giving the matter urgent attention. This is very frustrating. MSH is only dragging their feet, I don't know why. Also agree with a previous review done, by mr. Pierre Lorillou. It seems that I have to try and get into contact with some of the Board members to have this resolved.

Monitoring of claims are very difficult with MSH as (i) communication received by email does not give any details of what has been done or on content of the message left in the portal and (ii) reference used are only numbers without direct link to the claim. The reimbursement dashboard should also show how much was requested for the claim. Moreover customer service always ask lengthy details that have most of the time already been given. Recent experience also ended with MSH sending money to doctor instead of me. All in all, managing claims with MSH is very time consuming and not satisfactory. We hope this can be improved. Worst of the worst. I don't understand why would any companies would even make any contracts with them. Long delays in answering emails, or if not went went unanswered. Different information provided on the phone vs on emails. Very stressful to deal with this company!

Fellow the instruction to call MSH when encountered medical emergency but not easy to get a pre-approval coz they do ask for medical report! How come a medical report when heading to get emergent medical service!?
When you wanna follow up with the MSH team, no fixed representative follow up your case, u have to repeat your case details again again and again. The worst is that no one follow up after you repeated to describe the case and seek for help further. Up to this moment, my reimbursements still unable to proceed properly.

I’ve had a rough experience. For the three small claims I’ve made, none were paid out without contacting my broker and getting attention. These were simple doctor visits and some antibiotics prescriptions. It feels like they just want to keep the money and use any excuse not to pay.
Plus the user experience on there system is lacking. It was hard to figure out exactly where to login and for one claim I was not able to access the online claims system, and had to fill in a form which was cumbersome and took me an hour for two simple doctors visits.
I would definitely not consider doing business with this company again.

Once again MSH are not paying out approved medical bills!
This has been a repeat occurrence, full of excuses - even trying to blame the receiving bank, when payments are even getting to them! Never take responsibility to the point this has made me ill and put me into financial difficulty.
The service once again has been poor, have asked for a senior manger several times to contact me and never do!
Even after they resolved this situation previously, will took well over a month, and several months since submitting the expenses, they then, instead of apologising, send me threading legal letters about posting reviews.
Their service is a disgrace - beware if you choose them, what service you will get, and unsurprisingly there are so many negative reviews across the internet for them!
Submitting court action to recover the money and will be seeking damages

I really want to give no stars. I know I live in a foreign country but those I interact with at MSH international do not seem to understand English. They overlook pretty much all questions and queries sent to them. Their responses are slow. Incoherent. It’s very frustrating. Then in terms of simple requests regarding prescriptions and such things they never seem to be able to resolve or offer a reasonable service. I recently wanted some basic prescriptions and the only pharmacy I can attend is on the other side of the city; despite there being approximately 100 pharmacies between here and there. Whenever I question why I should pay £40 round trip in a taxi as I have no car just now, I’m met with incoherent incomprehensible babbling! I’ve tried to remain calm with their support team but please believe me when I say avoid MSH International medical insurance at all costs. They have no interest in customer service at all. The irony is that this company worsens a person’s state of health on account of their incoherent inexplicable responses. Avoid!

I had a drill fragment stuck and burnt in my cornea. I thought it was an eyelash or something so I waited a couple of days to see if it was going out by itself but it started itching all the time and couldn't get it out. So I go to the hospital and they send me to an eye doctor which gets it out shortly after. Until here everything normal, the hospital sends me the bills home, I call MSH to see what should I do and someone on the phone tells me to pay and to ask for a refund. So I do and send the claim but this company refuses to reimburse me because the drill fragment in the eye was not an emergency since I went to the hospital 3 days after the accident. I tried many times to contact them by email but they stopped replying and I asked multiple times for a phone number because the Calgary one on the website never works but never sent me any. Still waiting for 1000$ from them from 8 months ago, I think I will contact a lawyer not to get the money but just to get back at this horrible company, if you are reading this never never get involved with them it's the worst company you can ever choose read also the other reviews, I'm not an exception, this is one of the typical behavior they have with their customers.
Edit: I wrote to the email they told me below and still they do not reply. Never trust this company. I lost only time in contacting them. I think I will contact a local tv channel so as many people can see how bad is this company, I hope their policies will lead to its failure. Also, I believe the positive reviews you see are 100% made from employees, positive reviews are never supported and are very basic, while all the negative ones are all well argumented and supported by stories of people, don't let them fool you.
Edit: After the bad review someone (after 3 months of not replying to any communication) contacted me. Heads up, this doesn't mean they refunded me, I'll keep you updated. If you have problems with them apparently you have to review and tell your story, only after they realize that the damage to their image may lead to some profit loss then maybe they will reconsider stuff.
Update: finally after 10 months of stress and being told that a drill fragment in the eye was not an emergency apparently they are going to reimburse me. The situation was unlocked by this review, otherwise, they would have never escalated it to a "senior specialist". I'll leave this nice quote from the company from one of their few emails after I was insisting that a drill fragment burnt and stuck in the cornea required immediate assistance:
"A true emergency would mean you would go when the incident occurred. (...) seeking medical attention (...) at a hospital would not be deemed appropriate" -msh international

I've contacted MSH International 416-730-8488 3 times to get my policy cancellation refund with no sucess. First time i was told the lady who handled the refund is on maternity leave, 2nd time I was told they will expedite the refund. Today I was told they couldn't reach anyone in the refund department.
