£24 for 1 "free" gym pass a week = RIP OFF!

Signed up for a £1 7 day "trial" but later found out this doesn't include gym sessions and had to "upgrade" to a £24 a month plan which only includes 1 "free" (this ain't free) gym session per week, which is amounts to just 4 gym sessions per month, absolute rip off! Cancelled my membership and cut out the middleman (movegb) and signed up with my local gym for unlimited membership for and extra six quid! Moved GB ain't for me!

So in this case, we totally agree with you that it would work out cheaper for you to attend directly if you are only looking to attend one venue.

This used to be really great

This used to be really great, but in the past couple of years they have upped prices a lot and removed a lot of the good activities.
The reason for the bad review though is because they really try to hide that from you and con people into thinking they can do the good activities, then at the last minute it's only a taster session or you have to pay per visit.

Great concept

The concept is great, and I have kept my membership up for several years because of the flexibility and choice. The app has improved alot from the early days too although it still could be easier to book. The downsides are: price - it is quite expensive particularly given there is a cap on the number of classes; choice - there was a really significant drop in class choices over the last two years due to covid and I'm only recently finding this is improving again; the need to check in is a pain, I think this should be managed by the venue; some classes give little instructions on their locations, relying on you needing to contact the venue directly (more relevant for outdoor bootcamps); search function is not great, I've missed out on some classes (paying directly outside my membership) as I couldn't find them on the app. Otherwise though, I think this is the way forward, and hope the team will continue to work on improvements, most notably being affordability.

feels pretty scammish

feels pretty scammish. Doesn't tell you the actual cost of activities until you pay the registration fee, then doesnt give you much of a discount anyways. Also, makes it very complicated to actually book an activity. Can only top up wallet in 10 pounds, but most things cost 11 pounds, which makes you have to top up 20 quid for one activity. the activity I chose, I had to pay the centre (redpoint bristol) 5 pounds for a MoveGB registration(eh?) so the activity cost me 16 pounds, which is exactly the same as not using this piece of garbage service anyways. Full On SCAM

I really value their customer service; been with MoveGB for years now and they've dealt with my difficult queries, problems, and stupid questions, all with friendliness and patience. MoveGB provide a great service with…

MoveGB provide a great service with loads of options both in person and online. The app is easy to use and their customer service is fantastic should you have any enquiries about venues/classes. I’ve been a MoveGB member for several years and can’t imagine going back to a single venue membership ever again - the flexibility is brilliant.

Move GB saved my sanity during…

Move GB saved my sanity during lockdown... I signed up for the free trial, fully expecting to cancel if at the end, but have used it and enjoyed it so much I will be happy to continue. The range of exercises is fabulous, the quality of the instructors is second to none.. I use it mainly for yoga & pilates.. Would recommend 100%.

Good variety of classes, let down by no show fee in free trial…

Quick response via their contact form on the website. Trying this 8 week free trial seems good so far with a variety of classes and tried an awesome deep relaxation meditation which was the best.

The only thing I really dislike is the fee for no shows. What inconvenience is the organiser experiencing when we don't turn up remotely? In physical classes I would understand the reasoning. It influences how likely I am to book onto the classes that interest me in advance, because I could be feeling ill that day or be feeling low and if I don't attend because of that I'll get charged. That commitment is way too strict considering the fluctuation to our mental health and motivation due to the pandemic.
